ShyGuy, weren't you the one doing an experiment to try and force a tulpa in a short length of time? It sounds to me like you're jealous that NB did what you failed at because you're a lazy ass who misses like 5 days of tulpaforcing in a row.

Seriously

You've given us all a healthy dose of skepticism. Now shut up.

>5 days in a row

>retard

I'm still forcing, but the experiment was thrown off because of my brief bout of apathy. That said, I'm not jealous because I don't believe Nester did anything.

Pleeb: That's very respectful to others, and I laud your morality, but I personally don't believe it's unethical to accuse others of nonsentience.

I mean, come on. That's perfect insult material right there.

And I don't think there's any room to accuse because there's nothing we have set in stone. This could very well be a realistic method that can help the tulpafocing process, and you're closing yourself off to it.

I remember when Vinyl changed, one member ran in saying "You can't change after imposition, that's impossible!" He henceforth condemned Jake as a roleplayer and closed himself off to several possibilities for tulpae (such as post-imposition transformation).

In the IRC just now you said to me "How is 20/24 hours of *forcing* reasonable?" I humbly ask that you point out to me where I said his forcing was reasonable, as I remember saying that it unrealistic but not impossible. I should further point out that, iirc, his tulpaforcing did not consist of the typical meditating (that is, he wasn't sitting on the floor for 20 hours), but he was rather passively forcing -- keeping the tulpa in his mind during day-to-day chores, speaking with the tulpa... From what I got out of this, he put a ton of focus into his tulpa by doing other things at the same time; however, every waking moment, he would acknowledge and communicate with the tulpa.

And as I've said before, I've seen weirder things happen, such as tulpae appearing with no direct forcing towards them previously, and becoming sentient in a day -- something more drastic than a four-day tulpa.

Still, if he's a roleplayer then it will come out eventually. At this point, I'll bow my head and stand corrected.

Hrmph. Stop countering my arguments with your open-mindedness. It's just plain embarrassing.

thank you, pleeb. i've said it before. i am constantly treating espeon and kass as if they were fully imposed and completed since day one. i am at every second of the day knowing where they are, what they're doing, and what they're saying to me even if it isn't audible yet. this is my method. i know some others like fede have claimed to do something similar. it just makes more sense to me to treat them and interact with them like they are already there. like you would any human you'd see on any given day. what better way to do something like this? my guess would be going on life support and staying in a super meditative state for as long as it takes to finish an entire tulpa in as little time as possible.

also to the one who mentioned testing for parroting (name escapes me), i've already established i'm not parroting or puppeting through various tests, most notably the fluent tulpa survey. when my computer is working again, i also intent to try and convince them to take the stylometric test that has since been added to the survey

i'd like to say a few words about myself for a second. this relates to the whole discussion that just happened before about my progress being utter bs.

i have a wide array of interests and one long standing one has been what one can do with the power of their mind. there's evidence all over that proves the mind can do amazing things from placebos curing serious illnesses to the tulpa phenomenon and beyond.

i've spent years working with my own mental abilities and i'm at a point where i've got a pretty good handle on my psyche and what i can do merely by thought.

for example if i concentrate while drinking a vitamin water with a name like defense, i can actually feel my immune system getting stronger and the symptoms of whatever bug i've got being suppressed. if i imagine it hard enough, i can cause my body to feel specific sensations of touch for no reason. if i focus enough i can emit slightly more heat from the palms of my hands than would usually be given off. if i concentrate intensely i can transfer some kind of mysterious energy from my hands and fingers into another person and relieve minor tension pains. it's these experiemces and practices that lead me to believe the seemingly impossible powers of the mind.

creating a fully functioning and sentient entity through mere thought by creating a character, treating it as i would any other person, telling myself it's real until it actually does start responding and behaving like a real living thing, and finally imposing it into my reality by manipulating and reprogramming my sensory perception is something i'd never even dreamed of doing, yet here we are. they may not be imposed yet, but everything else said about them is true. kass and espeon are real to me. i talk to them and they respond on their own. they move on their own accord and i can sense it as well as i can sense myself moving.

the mind is a powerful thing that can perform incredible feats. the mind can also hinder the attempts at such feats by way of doubt and denial by logic. if you dont truly believe you can do something because it's illogical or you've been spoon fed the preconceived notions of what's possible and what's not for your entire life so that's all you can believe in, unwilling to change your views for one reason or another, then you can't do it.

it's all about what you believe in. if you believe in a god, truly and whole heartedly believe, then you have a god. if you believe just as fully that you can create a tulpa, you can. and if you believe just as strong that everything you've done, all the work you've done and all the progress you've made has resulted in a true sentient tulpa, you've made a tulpa.

just because someone wrote down some words and called them rules doesn't mean they apply to everyone. only the ones who believe they're the rules and live by them.

i'd actually like to thank the people involved in this debate on the believability of my progress. the uproar in this thread and how it affected kass and espeon provided some interesting data. kass has been upset all day due to this, mostly cursing shyguy and espeon has been giving more emotional output than usual. he hasn't been angry really, but more skeptical himself as to the arguments put up by those who call all of this bs.

es was delighted to find out about a possible friend in the future, as was i. it's one thing to communicate with people, but the idea of communicating with another tulpa with something in common with him made him extremely happy and anxious.

i thought about the whole rolplaying issue and i've come to the conclusion that when espeon or kass want to write something (or any other tulpae who do but don't/can't possess their creators and do it themselves), it is kind of like roleplaying but with two major points. first, it IS like roleplaying because i'm not typing as myself. i'm not saying things i would say. second, it's NOT roleplaying because i'm not the one thinking of what to write. espeon or kass implant their thoughts into my hands, so to speak. it's not possession, but i think it's the next closest thing. they say what they want to say and my fingers do the walking. it's like the matrix. one cannot be told what the matrix is. one has to see it themselves. i encourage deeply any skeptics to try this with their tulpae and see what happens. let them do the thinking while you do the typing.

i've decided to start work on vox. kass and espeon are far enough along that i can work on him without worrying about them fading away into the background. i've decided to change him from a wrist computer and integrated system to a drone inspired by guilty spark from the halo series. this way he can be free to move to more convenient locations, but can still perform his tasks. i've also decided to create a terminal for him in the wonderland so he can plug in and run some operations in the hut directly. this will hopefully make things easier on me there as well as here. the british male voice is staying but i'm leaning more towards a c3po kinda sound.

kass wanted me to write something she wanted to say about what happened but i'm just going to summarize it because she's still upset by the whole thing and i just want it to be over and done with so things can start getting back to normal. she wants to let everyone involved know that she doesn't care about what was said, but the fact that it was said in the first place and i agree with her on that. that's where i'm going to leave it.

now then. i find it a lot harder to create vox than it was espeon. i've got the visualization down and even started working with him today as far as visualizing him flying around me and starting the process of narration and parroting, but creating an entity with a specific set of duties and purposes is much more daunting a task than creating a living being. i've tasked espeon and kass with keeping an eye on him and letting me know if anything goes wrong. i came up with a neat little concept for him that i'm definitely going to apply. this idea is that he will have a battery life and need to recharge like a phone or laptop. while charging in the wonderland, he'll be unable to function, thus limiting his active time and, in my opinion, lowering the chances of rampancy and/or sentience. a simple and definite battery life of up to 20 hours a day with the remaining 4 hours needed to fully recharge from dead will be good. i can't see me needing him for a full 20 hours ever, so when he's not needed, i'll have him on charge in a state where he'll be connected to his terminal and only able to control what he will in the wl. at no point am i going to integrate any part of his terminal with the deeper reaches of my mind, if i can help it, and until i learn more about it i won't be letting him into the æther realm.

another thing i've noticed about the æther realm is that while the time of day is the same, the sun and moon move in reverse. espeon and i took a closer look at the burned down hut and there's nothing to suggest anything had ever been inside it. one theory is that the two realms represent the duality of my mind. one side is the normal-looking paradise while the other side is psychedelic and unreal and familiar grounds lay in ruin. sometimes i get a little paranoid walking through the forest of the æther realm that some horrifying monster is going to attack us. who knows?
