tulpatalk May 19, 2012 Author Share May 19, 2012 just wondering: when the tulpas lightsource is pointed toward your eyes will your pupils shrink? that is impossible to do yourself since you don't have control over those muscles from what i heard. Further testing needs to be done, and no one has an imposed tulpa with a light source yet, to my knowledge. [Note: Opinions]
Orq9000 May 19, 2012 Share May 19, 2012 Pupillary response can occur due to psychological stimuli. It can occur in case of Pavlov response, so those muscles are controlled by subconscious part of mind. I think it's possible that tulpa causes this kind of reaction. You can dilate your pupils by thinking of something or someone you like, then stop thinking of it to shrink them back to normal size. Anyway, I would say yes, they would shrink. You ARE seeing it, after all. Your brain will go ahead and shrink your pupils since it thinks you are getting too much light. Then you will be getting too little light because now your pupils are constricted thus taking in less light, however your brain won't know that so you will continue to not get enough light. I don't think it's a good idea to give a tulpa a light source.

It would be useful to find out what your brain expects is in some dark place based on your memories.
Lacquer February 27, 2013 Share February 27, 2013 (apologies for necroposting again, blame search) I thought of having a tulpa as a flashlight, or more accurately, a hologram as a flashlight. Would it do the things theorized here?: Show what you expect to be there, like what a tulpa will see if they go into another roomDilate pupilsWork to make it easier to see in the dark, when you can still see, but only barely Has this been tested?
