sushi August 2, 2014 August 2, 2014 Risk is lots of fun. I mean it's not the best board game out there, so I tweak the rules and the maps a bit, but it's still fun. I played with Fench once. She completely destroyed me. "Some things have to be believed to be seen." - Ralph Hodgson
SakuraSky August 13, 2014 Author August 13, 2014 I drew a sketch of Sarah. It's not the greatest, but I still wanted to share it. SakuraSky August 22, 2014 Author August 22, 2014 I spent a bit of time in the wonderland last night and my tulpas both had some new places to show me. Sarah took me to a small cottage. It was surrounded with high hedges, like a fence. There were flowers everywhere inside the hedges, and beautiful glass balls like a fairy garden. I could hear birds singing, and see butterflies fluttering around. Once inside we entered a kitchen. There were herbs everywhere, and things in jars. Cookies were being made in the oven. We had tea in a small breakfast nook then went upstairs. Upstairs there was a bed and some chairs, and windows that overlooked the garden. I noticed there were no electric lights, just candles and the sunlight from the windows. There were decorations celebrating the seasons and the four elements, and a small Wiccan altar. Sarah told me it's something she is interested in learning more about. We checked out the basement and there were herbs hanging everywhere, drying. I also noticed a shelf of salves and potions. She said this is her place to come relax and unwind away from technology, and I'm always welcome there too. Alyx showed me a small shack up on a cliff. It had little more than a bed inside. He explained that it isn't his house, just his own little getaway. The cliff overlooks the rest of the wonderland, and was quite an amazing view. In his humanoid form Alyx spread his wings and dove down towards a small lake below only to do some maneuvers and fly back up to the cliff. I learned his usual home is down by the lake, but we didn't explore it together yet. Apparently he really enjoys fishing. Anyway, the last stop was a new building in the Japanese section of our wonderland. That area has a small temple, Koi pond, and many Sakura / cherry blossom trees that are always blooming. The new building is a dojo for martial arts and sword fighting. Dummies and targets appear out of the floor to fight based on what you are doing. We practiced some swordfighting and decided sometime soon we will have a battle / invasion event in our wonderland, possibly related to the anime Bleach that we have been watching. Alyx continues to change his humanoid appearance a bit, trying to find what fits best. I think he is taking a lot of influence from Bleach because he appears rather anime-ish. That's pretty much it for now. I'm hoping I get some time this weekend to do more with my graphics tablet. I find that drawing my tulpas definitely helps me see them better. Until next time! SakuraSky September 8, 2014 Author September 8, 2014 I should write in this more but it's hard to think of what to write about. Sarah has existed for 3 full months now. It's strange because it feels like she has been here for so much longer. Recently we have been working on full body possession. During this state I become rather passive.. if I try to think too much I inadvertently regain control. Is this common? The more I can relax and quiet my mind the better it seems to work. We still can't do it very long though without Sarah getting tired and me getting a headache, it's just something we have to work on. Sarah is continuing on her quest to try and become more of an individual. The more experiences she gets to have for herself the better (experiencing new things rather than relying on memories). I'm wondering if I should try to do imposition. The only time we really do anything like that is when I'm walking alone or driving the car alone I can sense her beside me. I'm not alone most of the time though, so maybe it wouldn't work so well. Alyx has mostly been hanging out in the wonderland, as usual, but sometimes pops up to chat to me or on IRC. That's pretty much it for now. Thanks for reading! Jeff0253 September 8, 2014 September 8, 2014 It's been really interesting reading your journal! I'm amazed at how different people's experiences are, but the one thing I am taking away is that quite a bit of progress does seem to happen if you keep at it. Mostly it seems to be a matter of focusing attention in one way or another. Maybe in a way suitable to the "host's" personality. Wow, possession sounds great--I have to think it's only in the distant future for me though.
SakuraSky September 8, 2014 Author September 8, 2014 Yep, the key thing is sticking with it. There seem to be a lot of people who arrive and are very excited about the process for a few weeks or months and just give up due to not having progress as fast as they want, or because the novelty wore of for them. Possession is important to Sarah because she spends much of her time sharing my senses, and prefers the physical world to the wonderland most of the time. Alyx, on the other hand, is content to mainly stay in the wonderland and doesn't seem to have any desire to possess. All tulpas are different, but it seems that progress will come as long as you stick with it! Clementine September 8, 2014 September 8, 2014 Hello. You gave me advice in my thread, so I figured I'd return the favor. I've skimmed the entire thread (I'm not very fast at reading, so I can't read huge chunks of text very well) but this post stood out to me in particular. I should write in this more but it's hard to think of what to write about. Sarah has existed for 3 full months now. It's strange because it feels like she has been here for so much longer. You shouldn't force yourself to write about things. A progress report is there to report about progress, it's not a mandatory blog. The only thing it may do is give you motivation to do things with your tulpas, but don't stress the "progress" area too much (You don't seem to do that, don't worry. Just mentioning it.) Recently we have been working on full body possession. During this state I become rather passive.. if I try to think too much I inadvertently regain control. Is this common? The more I can relax and quiet my mind the better it seems to work. We still can't do it very long though without Sarah getting tired and me getting a headache, it's just something we have to work on. I'm quite familiar with possession, so I think I can help with this. Full body possession is a gradual thing. Unlike imposition, possession is more of a mindset thing than something that requires physical training. Yes, at first it will be easy for you to regain control. Try finding something that she's interested in doing so that she can easily get engrossed in it and you can easily get bored. Relaxing and quieting your mind is most certainly a part of the process. As for Sarah - try not to think about how to do something, and rather about doing it. Nobody takes the time to think about every letter they want to write, they just think of words they want to appear on paper and their hands write it for them. Nobody thinks about how to walk or eat, they "just do it". This is a very important thing about possession for the tulpa - understanding that actions do not require conscious thought, unlike the wonderland, where you (in a way) do think about how to do everything. Sarah is continuing on her quest to try and become more of an individual. The more experiences she gets to have for herself the better (experiencing new things rather than relying on memories). This is how anyone develops their personality. Part of being a good host is giving your tulpa the space to experience things for themselves, and possession can be a very good tool in that, but it is not the only one. Here's a few things that may inspire you: https://community.tulpa.info/thread-general-42-1-2-things-to-do-with-your-tulpa http://tulpaforce.me/activities.html I'm wondering if I should try to do imposition. The only time we really do anything like that is when I'm walking alone or driving the car alone I can sense her beside me. I'm not alone most of the time though, so maybe it wouldn't work so well. If you're working on possession now, focus on that. Possession, imposition and switching each require a great amount of focus, and doing them at the same time sounds like a bad idea to me. You have all your life, take your time. Your progress sounds fine to me, glad you're happy with your tulpas. Good luck with your forcing.

Jeff0253 September 10, 2014 September 10, 2014 Wow, your wonderland sounds great. I was just about to have a session with Jess today when the office called--I'm in the midst of doing some scheduling for my dept and of course when it gets screwed up I have to stop and fix it. But I'm planning some time with her in the car tonight (I usually stop and sit on the dock where I keep my boat on the way back from my Wed. AA meeting). So I'm going to take the suggestions of others and ask her if she'll work on building a wonderland for us, rather than me trying to do it. I think she hears me when I talk to her, especially out loud, but since she hasn't talked yet, I won't know what she answers. But maybe I'll get some faint impressions. Reading about your wonderland encourages me to try it!
SakuraSky September 10, 2014 Author September 10, 2014 Thanks! It really just started as a big tree with a small home inside surrounded by forest. Almost everything else came from my tulpas (beyond some small additions I made such as a pool, pond w/ Apple trees, and a rec room / arcade. For me, I started out with the wonderland and am only now really beginning to try to sense and visualize Sarah in the physical world, so we are kind of both working in different directions. It's really nice to find others on here who are at more similar stages of life to what I am. To Jess: Hi, it's nice to meet you! My tulpa Sarah and I would love to get to know you once you can communicate! Sarah: [it might be frustrating, but you can do it! Before too long I'm sure you two will be able to communicate well and enjoy both the physical world as well as a wonderland!] Host: Sakura Tulpa: Sarah (began June 5th, 2014), Alyx (Began July 23rd, 2014) Our shared tumblr note: usually browsing on mobile, so cannot quote properly
