I've been wondering for a bit: how does a fully vocal, sentient tulpa "sound"?

As in, when you hear your tulpa speak, how clear and what kind of "audio" is it?

I'm guessing 2 things:

1. It sounds like an auditory hallucination, like there is someone actually there and your brain perceives as though it just heard something yet clearly your ear didn't. In other words, it would sound like a real person is talking to you, but with or without a clear source.

2. It sounds like when you think to yourself, like when you're reading something aloud in your own head (like if I were to read this sentence aloud for example, rather than just "processing the information" without thinking about it.)

If possible, give an as detailed and accurate description as you can. As I'm still at work on my tulpa, it'd be nice to know when I've reached nearly full vocalization.

The second thing you mentioned is probably the most accurate, unless you have your tulpa's voice imposed. In that case, it would sound like an auditory hallucination, and basically is one. For the most part, people don't have fully imposed tulpas, so they can only hear the tulpa's voice as a mindvoice, or the same kind of voice you hear when you are thinking. It might be very similar to yours, or very different, depending on the tulpa. Some tulpas don't even speak, per say, they just communicate certain ideas to their host who can interpret them to understand the tulpa.

Hope I could answer your question!

They speak in a mind voice that sounds a lot like your own internal voice. Over time and with practice they will develope their own distinct voice but it's kind of like the same voice that is reading this in your mind.

You can with tons of practice hear your tulpa with your own ears and that's audio imposition but that doesn't happen on its own, that's something you have to work at to achieve.

I can confirm that it sounds a lot like mindvoice. Over time, with practice, you can hear your tulpa via hallucination, but I haven't experienced it firsthand.

I've experienced Big Bang booms and slamming doors through audio hallucination, but that's the closest I've experienced.

Chance, an anthro husky, wolf or fox.

Birthdate September 20, 2014.

Sentient October 1, 2014.

Yes, it can, with practice be as real as someone just next to you, there is audio representations on YouTube but I wouldn't recommend it. It actually scared me worse than anything I've ever seen vizually, and I only listened to two seconds, two seconds which had me on edge, almost sleepless and in tears.

Note: what I just described is extreme and can only be heard through insanity or drug use, your tulpa won't be horrifying in the slightest.
