Does Every tulpa likes/Loves possession?

Cool, a giant post dedicated to clarifying a misconception without actually attacking someone.

 

To what extent switching involves a "mental block" I can't say because the term is vague, but this has nothing to do with conforming to someone else's definition as though we were trying to impose our views upon you.

 

I think you took the tulpas-are-aware-of-my-senses a step further than I meant it, they aren't experiencing the same things as me, they're aware of but detached from it. Same as when I'm switched - Reisen accidentally stepping into an ice cold shower didn't "affect" me like it would've, but of course I was aware of, from a detached perspective, what it felt like. And then she made an eep noise and actually reacted physically, completely uncharacteristic of "me". I definitely do not make eep noises react so outwardly to things like that - sort of a survival instinct, I imagine. So what I meant by "conforming to that definition" was, since what I considered switching was already perfectly real to me, and from what I could tell the only thing missing was a detaching of your conscious awareness from your physical senses, I decided it didn't apply to me.

 

Whether or not it applies to me, I understand full well the actual definition and why it's used/was made. I'm an exception, not the rule, I didn't mean to contest anything. Just did a rather poor job of trying to explain what the experience I called switching was and asking whether that matched up with your definition.

 

 

That being said, I've no idea what to call it now. Full-body possession makes sense, but it's not my tulpa controlling my body while I remain the consciousness running the body - they take over that too, leaving me in the same position as my tulpas would be at any given time. That is, able to be 'forgotten' temporarily when not given thought, removed from yet having access to physical experiences, and being able to hear any thoughts in my brain. I still think it has to do with my tulpas being somewhat irregular.

Quite. I'm glad we could come to some reconciliation on the matter.

 

Also, what you describe is also my experience of possession, at least with respect to the dulling of senses and exchange of dominance in the mind, so don't feel too put out.

So switching is the same as full-body possession, but with lessened awareness/control of the host?

I guess it's possession then. I'm not interested in inducing amnesia in myself just to say I can, my tulpas and I just have fun doing things together. This (seemingly advanced) possession is all that's necessary.

Uh, and in my experience things like amnesia of events while your tulpa is in control isn't something one really tries for. Your tulpa is doing something, you don't care, so you check out is more like it.

We didn't initially like possession. We didn't exactly want to be a part of this world, really. We had very little stake in it. Though we were working towards being able to switch since our system needed a backup since Hail was weakening, so it had to be done. Things changed once we started talking with the person who eventually became our girlfriend and we became her girlfriends. That gave us a stake in outerworld. After that, we started noticing other things in outerworld we were interested in. So, now, we really like any control of the body we are able to exert and look forward to being able to have more control. It has been a long and difficult journey, but we are going to keep going.
