Sentience is your tulpas ability to think, speak and act on there own.

Imposition is your ability to see, feel, hear and smell your tulpa as if they were really there.

Note: imposition takes time, practice and patience. I'm only just getting it after nearly a year of trying. I've only got hearing close to down.

You are a sentient person, meaning that you're alive. A tulpa who is sentient is alive and separate to you, meaning, just as Amber said, that they can think and act independently of you.

Imposition is usually the final stage for most people in the creation process, but not always. It is when you can see, hear, smell, feel, and taste (. . .) your tulpa just as you can anyone else. Note that imposition is not a requirement, but the results are said to be fascinating.
