Vitalpae May 16, 2012 May 16, 2012 Okay, so I couldn't find this topic anywhere. And if it's in the guides FAQ made, whoops. But if any of you keep up with my blog (Which, let's be honest here, you don't) you'd know that I've been having some problems with my Tulpa being anime-esque when I try to visualize him. At first, I thought this might be a problem, but now it just feels natural. Should I be working harder to visualize him more "realistic"? Or, is he fine the way he is? Tulpa: Xaine Form: Humanoid Male But Tulpa are sentient, whereas your right hand...isn't.
Lulu May 16, 2012 May 16, 2012 I would imagine he'd be fine the way he is. Also this is from the faq: >Can my tulpa be based off an animation style or does it have to be realism? >You can have a tulpa that is "animated" or whatever, that's fine. Of course it might be harder to imagine it imposed on your environment, but if you're up for putting in a little extra effort that's fine.
tulpatalk May 16, 2012 May 16, 2012 Let the natural deviation happen. If it flows towards realistic, then follow. If it flows towards animu, then follow. It seems to be heading in the direction of animu, so let it. [Note: Opinions]

Bluesleeve May 16, 2012 May 16, 2012 I'm glad to hear the reminiscent narration method is working out for you! Someone already asked a question of this kind on my blog, and my answer was - as long as you can imagine it, it should be absolutely possible. But probably is a good thing to let the Tulpa deviate if it wants to. When I come home I will be uploading a picture of a fully imposed cartoon pony. What is a Tulpa? Blog Rainbow 'Alyx' Dash Pronto
BFP May 16, 2012 May 16, 2012 Either way should be okay It sounds like you don't like the cartoonish aspect. Work on visualization skills. Can you draw? Do you know how to proportion a human body? If you want your Tulpa to be realistic you have to be able to hold that image in your head and view it from all angles. I find that having the from stand in front of me and running my hands over him like I'm sculpting to be very helpful. I've seen mine twice ( that is outside and physical view) His hair is a bit darker than I expected, face slightly broader and hair/beard a little thicker. But the overall structure and form outline are identical to what I worked with.
Orq9000 May 16, 2012 May 16, 2012 I met same occlusion. There was a point, when i was considering both options, making Her 2D or translation to 3D. But eventually after few experiments wit booth syles of visualisation, I decided on 3D version. Not because it's better or worse. It's just work for me. I think it depends strongly on host's predisposition, because i meet with many different opinions. If You going 3D, I can recommend elaborating spatial form using drawing principles like those. It helped me a lot.
Guest Anonymous May 16, 2012 May 16, 2012 I'm doing a pony tulpa. While imposing could be difficult, I want to achieve something like the attachment. http://i.imgur.com/zKfaG.gif isn't mine, and the size is different than mine.

Pretty much sums up what my Tulpa is going to be, except a teeny tiny bit bigger. What is a Tulpa? Blog Rainbow 'Alyx' Dash Pronto
