Remulus May 17, 2015 May 17, 2015 The name of my tulpa is Rojo (Spanish word which means "red"). This is basically due to his color. He is enterily red, as red as his clothes and hair. His eyes are green, however. He call me Rem and I just don't know why. Forgive me if my English is not good!
Guest May 17, 2015 May 17, 2015 I came up with my tulpa's name through my initials, actually XD A few years ago I was trying to think of a nickname for myself, because I was jealous that a few of my friends had really cool nicknames and I couldn't really make one out of mine (aside from AJ). So I sat down, started blending parts of my name together, and then I somehow thought of my initials which were aje, and started pronouncing it as Ah-jee. At the time I had a self-imposed voice in my head that I liked to talk to sometimes, and a few months later I had decided to give that voice a name and I called it Aje, I eventually found out about tulpas and I made Aje into one~
Kalyrian May 20, 2015 May 20, 2015 Well, my tulpa is called Alex. Probably the most boring name for a tulpa on the site :\ game is hard
Akinkinit May 23, 2015 May 23, 2015 Noriko got her name as there is a singer with the same name I liked listening to. Sabari's name came from a wordlist of indian names, with the only stipulation that it begin with S because Noriko really wanted it to begin with an S for some reason. Currently share myself with four other entities. Noriko was created on December 15, 2014. Sabari was created by Noriko on January 22, 2015. Anzu was reborn on May 23, 2016. Xiri returned on June 16, 2018. Both had been inactive since 2012. Progress Report | Ask a Question Thread
Stryke May 26, 2015 May 26, 2015 Back when Thunder and Melody were still dreaded pony tulpas I wondered if perhaps they should have a surname. Before I started creation I was playing a Sims family based on Thunder as an OC with a random horse-related surname that we decided we might as well use it. So they are now Thunder and Melody Canter. Which is a little weird because they're sort of dating on and off... Thunder sometimes calls me "Tiger" when I'm getting overexcited (as in "Easy Tiger"). Especially when I'm feeling a bit frisky and he can hear my naughty thoughts! XD Thunderfall (goes by Thunder) Male human Melody Female lamia
subtly lisped May 26, 2015 May 26, 2015 My tulpa is named Lux, which I didn't choose. I do call my tulpa 'Lucy' to try and get a rise out of the fucker. Lux is latin for 'light' by the way, which I found quite fitting.
Semi-Nomadic May 27, 2015 May 27, 2015 I am a weird guy. I love titles, I love symbols, I love names as well. There's something fascinating and mystical about naming a thing. However, my tulpa naming stories aren't that interesting. Dabi's name doesn't mean anything though. The exact source of her name... well, it's a long story, but basically I asked "what would you like your name to be?", and got what felt like a very vague shadow of a thought which sounded kinda like "Dabi". Back then I didn't have very high standards when it comes to tulpa speech, I was willing to accept even the slightest bit of a thought as a tulpa's answer. It wouldn't be the case today. Anyway, I never changed her name for a number of reasons. It is very possible that I could come up with a better name, but I'd like to wait for her to be more vocal so that she can give her input on the matter. I had more tulpas before that, actually, which I'm not working on anymore. Their names were Meteo, Sandra and Cecil. Sandra's name came along in a similar way to Dabi's. For Meteo, I scribbled down a number of names I came up with, then pointed to each one in turn and watched for head pressure (he wasn't vocal.) "Meteo" because he was a pegasus and pegasi in MLP often have weather-related names. As for the last one, he basically looked like a gentleman anthro pony smoking a pipe; originally I named him Pipes, a really terrible name, so I changed it to a more dignified-sounding Cecil.
sushi May 27, 2015 May 27, 2015 So they are now Thunder and Melody Canter. Which is a little weird because they're sort of dating on and off... Not really all that unusual. People tend to be attracted to people with similar names. Thus Daniels are more likely to end up with Danielles, and Nates are more likely to end up with Kates. The author Evelyn Waugh famously married a woman named Evelyn, making them both Evelyn Waugh, and they became "he-Evelyn" and "she-Evelyn" to their friends. I know that's all given name stuff, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if people with the same surnames often got married as well. "Some things have to be believed to be seen." - Ralph Hodgson
