dakotadogg June 9, 2015 June 9, 2015 Let's say a tulpa wanted to communicate with someone who has never known about the phenomenon. Would they be able communicate with that person? This probably seems like a silly question but it's something I've been curious about. Also, I haven't seen a forum post about this topic yet so I'm not sure if it has already been answered.
Linkzelda June 9, 2015 June 9, 2015 If there's enough competency for a tulpa to utilize whatever form of expression from the body to communicate (e.g. possession, or even switching), verbally or non-verbally that a person can infer, or deduce as such (the end result from the communication), then yeah. Though, the person listening to the words that doesn't know about the phenomenon will probably just see you as you, albeit there may be some nuances a tulpa has that may make them think that you, as the person they're used to, are as different as night and day depending on circumstances, and how much they pay attention to your behavior, and things of that nature. The communication itself wouldn't be wholly contingent on whether or not someone knowing about the concept of tulpa; there's not some kind of major physiological change should they switch, or possess that would ensue to make someone think otherwise. If they did know the concept of tulpa, then that's another story, but how they react to it will be subjective. sushi June 9, 2015 June 9, 2015 Around here, it's generally believed that tulpas can be seen and heard only by their creators -- whether the creators believe in tulpas or not. However, with the creator's help, the tulpa can use the creator's body to communicate with other people, whether those people believe in tulpas or not. Aijada June 9, 2015 June 9, 2015 One of the bigger achievements i've had since mastering possession is going and making a couple penpal style friends. My host/dad suggested at one point that we just put an ad on Craigslist for someone to talk to. We started out portraying ourselves as a person with 'mulitple personality' who was willing to talk about mental health issues. That way we at least opened up the conversation. And then with effort back and forth, we have slowly developed a couple friendships where my host and i both get to talk, and the person understands in basic terms what a tulpa is. It was actually quite hard to find people who were open-minded and accepting of the idea; we went through quite a number of false starts with people who didn't reply in the right way. With some persistent sifting, we've got two friends who know i exist and talk to me too. It's hard to find people, but totally worth it becuase it's wonderful to be accepted as real by someone external. Early member of a large system. Our system questions the way the afterlife and tulpamancy interact. We genuinely suspect that deadies can return to share the mind of the living.

raymond13557 June 11, 2015 June 11, 2015 as much as i have tried to .. my tulpas only talk through me when they want to posess me.. i am fine with them doing this.. but with red, he's calm and sweet thus making me sound alot happier in tone of voice, with blue she is alot more... how can i put this, she is sweet but alittle... expressive in her own way.. she talks with a slightly apathetic tone, only when she isn't interested in anything at the moment. i just talk in a mellow manner.. as for typing i guess i cant really say much lol Tulpa:Snow Mindscape: Artopia
Kaga and Company June 11, 2015 June 11, 2015 Since no one else can hear your tulpa the way you do, your tulpa would have to talk through you (such as via possession or similar means), as others have suggested. The tricky part, then, would just be finding people to talk to about it. Instead of starting from scratch and seeking out someone you don't even know very well to specifically be your tulpa-talking buddy, I suggest just starting with whatever friends you already have. Find someone that you think would be open-minded and understanding and introduce them to your tulpas. Even online friends would work well for this, if you think you know them well enough. In fact, I find that it's actually EASIER with online friends, since it's easier to explain the concept of tulpas when you can think about what words you're going to type down instead of having to verbally explain it on the spot. You might also find that it's easier for your tulpas to communicate, since you can sort of just relay whatever it is they're saying by typing out their mindvoice, instead of having to go all the way to possession/switching in order for them to be heard. My suggestion: ask your tulpa(s) about who they might want to talk to. Mine seemed to really enjoy it when I opened up to an online friend about the whole tulpa thing based on their suggestion, and let them all become well acquainted with him. They liked having that extra person to talk to. Pinky is not a pony. She's an imp. Sunray is an angel-imp. Ex is humanoid. Kael is a dragon. Magnum is a dog.
Ashmo June 13, 2015 June 13, 2015 All of Bud's communication is through proxy. We both like it that way, at least we do so far. He was pretty shy in the beginning, not really even wanting to talk to Breanna. The more he develops though, the more social he's becoming.
