Brassow November 11, 2015 November 11, 2015 I've been thinking, and is it possible to interview Fede for a podcast? He has some VERY interesting ideas and would probably make a good podcast, should he want to participate. "Try to get a better understanding of things before making your judgement." -Khan, Metro 2033
jean-luc November 11, 2015 Author November 11, 2015 I don't actually know how to get in contact with him. Certainly could be interesting. Stats is back: https://stats.jean-luc.org/ My visits to tulpa.info are chaotic. If you want me to see something, make sure to quote a post of mine or ping me @jean-luc
sushi November 12, 2015 November 12, 2015 I believe he's still quite active on tulpanetwork.com. "Some things have to be believed to be seen." - Ralph Hodgson
Brassow November 18, 2015 November 18, 2015 We've hit radio silence, any news on the podcast? "Try to get a better understanding of things before making your judgement." -Khan, Metro 2033
jean-luc November 18, 2015 Author November 18, 2015 There may be one more podcast, but it's pretty much dead at this point. Stats is back: https://stats.jean-luc.org/ My visits to tulpa.info are chaotic. If you want me to see something, make sure to quote a post of mine or ping me @jean-luc
Brassow November 18, 2015 November 18, 2015 That's rather sad to hear, but there isn't exactly anything that can be done about it I guess. "Try to get a better understanding of things before making your judgement." -Khan, Metro 2033
Guest Anonymous November 20, 2015 November 20, 2015 Why is it dead? Is it a lack of persons wanting to be on the podcast or a lack of listeners? Have you tried polling folks to see if they have listened? Maybe more are listening than you think!
jean-luc November 21, 2015 Author November 21, 2015 I admit, it's been awhile since I actually checked the number of downloads. I do have access to it, but it's not in a nice format. I got off my but (figuratively, I exactly didn't do that literally) and wrote a program to count it all up finally. As of ~3 minutes ago, the download totals for each file is: glitch-podcast-note.txt: 8 Tulpaudcast-05.mp3: 131 Tulpaudcast-04.mp3: 141 podcast-logo-xlarge.png: 219 podcast-logo-small.png: 221 Tulpaudcast-05.ogg: 987 Tulpaudcast-04.ogg: 1213 Tulpaudcast-02.ogg: 1360 Tulpaudcast-03.ogg: 1714 Tulpaudcast-01.ogg: 4213 I mean, holy shit right!? Nope. When people download an audio file they make multiple requests (downloading the file in pieces). If I list the number of unique IP's that have downloaded something I get: glitch-podcast-note.txt: 8 Tulpaudcast-05.mp3: 33 Tulpaudcast-04.mp3: 37 podcast-logo-small.png: 102 podcast-logo-xlarge.png: 102 Tulpaudcast-05.ogg: 149 Tulpaudcast-04.ogg: 162 Tulpaudcast-02.ogg: 177 Tulpaudcast-03.ogg: 215 Tulpaudcast-01.ogg: 318 Still lots of people though! What's interesting is that the number of listeners decreased every episode, except that apparently Quetzal was pretty popular. I think if I work at it a little more I could figure out how many people listened all the way through. I may report back later, or I may not. I did say mostly dead. Guest Anonymous November 21, 2015 November 21, 2015 I knew it! More interest than maybe you thought? I think these numbers are actually really good for a podcast on the tulpa forums!
God November 23, 2015 November 23, 2015 I listened to all of these and thought they were really intriguing. Please do more Yours truly, God
