sushi July 18, 2015 July 18, 2015 I've killed quite a few innocents myself. It's all good though. Now there's suspicion and animosity, and that's ultimately good for the innocents as a whole. "Some things have to be believed to be seen." - Ralph Hodgson

Chi July 19, 2015 July 19, 2015 Haven't heard much from Aphelion so... ##Aphelion This is just a pressure vote really; feel free to make me change my mind.
Kiahdaj July 19, 2015 July 19, 2015 Well let's at least talk it out a bit first. Lynching another innocent at this point would pretty much ensure the mafia's victory. From the beginning, I can say that I had a bad feeling about GuessWho and Chi. Though recently, I think I've been mostly convinced that Chi is innocent. Though on the other hand, he does seem to be pulling a Sushi. ...Actually, yeah. GuessWho and Chi being mafia would make a lot of sense. After GuessWho was accused of being mafia and voted for by me and Sushi, Chi was quick to defend him, and instead lead a vote that ended up lynching an innocent. Now he's quick to vote for someone else, before even discussing anything. I don't think I have anything against anyone besides the two of them, since almost everyone else is dead now. Aphelion might look a little guilty because of her inactivity, but I really don't think that's enough to go on. And Sushi hasn't done anything particularly suspicious, I don't think. I'll withhold my vote for now, but I'd like to hear what everyone else thinks. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
Chi July 20, 2015 July 20, 2015 Ah, good, we're getting somewhere! I've been mostly convinced that Chi is innocent. Though on the other hand, he does seem to be pulling a Sushi. ...Actually, yeah. Could you explain what you mean by "pulling a Sushi"? I'm assuming this is a reference to a previous game that I wasn't a part of. GuessWho and Chi being mafia would make a lot of sense. After GuessWho was accused of being mafia and voted for by me and Sushi, Chi was quick to defend him, and instead lead a vote that ended up lynching an innocent. I can definitely see your reasoning here; I agree it looks pretty shady that I started a counter-bandwagon on Melody and then Melody turned out to be innocent. This could make it look like GuessWho is a spooky skeleton, and I was protecting him. I'd have to disagree that I was "quick to defend him", however, since I didn't defend GuessWho in the post where I explained my reasons for suspecting Melody and my defense of GuessWho came after we hammer'd; after sushi first voted for him, 25 hours passed until I thought of reasons to defend GuessWho. I suppose it depends on what you mean by "quick" though. Now he's quick to vote for someone else, before even discussing anything. I would definitely be against randomly killing off Aphelion without discussion, and would unvote if too many others decided to vote for Aphelion before Aphelion had a chance to speak. The whole point of me voting for Aphelion, as I explained, is to pressure Aphelion to engage in discussion. I'm really just trying to get the ball rolling. I'll withhold my vote for now, but I'd like to hear what everyone else thinks. I'd be really interested in hearing from others too, as we've had far too little of that so far. Hammering so soon on the last game day was a mistake. IMO, we need to drag these days out as long as possible now.
sushi July 20, 2015 July 20, 2015 Frankly, I agree with Chi on this one. Aphelion looks the most suspicious to me at the moment. Incidentally, do we know how many mafia there are? Or are we left in the dark about that? Also, what should have been an eight-hour car trip turned into two days due to car trouble. I'm burnt out, so I'll catch up on everything (in this thread and out) and resume normal forum participation in the next day or so. "Some things have to be believed to be seen." - Ralph Hodgson
Chi July 20, 2015 July 20, 2015 Incidentally, do we know how many mafia there are? Or are we left in the dark about that? I PM'd Quetzel about this a bit ago, and apparently there are 2 spooky skeletons. With everyone who's been killed so far being regular innocent humans, that means we currently have 2 skeletons, the Wizard, X-ray dude, and 1 regular human still in play.
Kiahdaj July 20, 2015 July 20, 2015 Oh, Chi, I thought what you meant by "pressure vote" was a vote you were making because you were feeling pressured. Like, because something needed to be done. Not that you were trying to pressure them into defending themselves. I see now. Also fair enough, when I said "quick to defend", I was probably mixing together your post that voted against Melody, and the one where you defended GuessWho, in my head. Although starting a "kill someone else" campaign could still be a subtle way to defend the other person, to be fair. So far, lynching inactive people hasn't really worked out, I don't think. Maybe I'm remembering wrong. But I do suppose I see what you mean. With the number of people starting to dwindle, there's a what... 5 people left alive (I think), minus 1 person (whoever is making the calculation [knows they're innocent]) is 4, and assuming that there are 2 mafia, which I think has been the standard in these games... there's a 50% possibility that she's one of them. But I guess the same could be said for anyone. The way I see it, I still have a bad feeling about GuessWho, and if Chi was really partnering up with him like I think he was, there would be our pair right there. Our only other candidate would be Aphelion, I guess. If Aphelion proves to be guilty, I don't think it would really tell us much. Though if GuessWho turned out to be guilty, we could reasonably assume Chi was the other. Unless it's sushi, and I'm just screwed. Anyway, I think we have the most to gain from finding out what GuessWho's role is. The same could be said for Chi, but I am more confident that he is innocent than GuessWho. So I will vote ##GuessWho for now. Unless someone's got some really good logic to throw out there, I think this is our best bet. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
