Bin October 9, 2015 October 9, 2015 Imposition is a long-term goal for us, too. Sometimes I do actively try to impose Scarlet, but not for very long. Still, she's with me all day every day, and she's a lot clearer than she used to be. I think, over time, visual imposition will come naturally. I did really want to focus on touch, though. Touch is awesome. Scarlet has limited ability to touch me, I can sense her but it doesn't feel like a physical touch yet. Verbal imposition is also on it's way, her voice is kinda "louder" than my own internal voice, it sounds really clear. I sure do wanna perfect all of the senses, but as they are now it's pretty good. I'd do smell but, I really have no idea what she should smell like toilet But unlike Inazuma, Scarlet doesn't really care about imposition, we see it as purely something for me. I can already sense her, so, I know if she's hugging my back or stuff like that, and I can faintly see her, so that's all she needs to be real to me. I think I recall the idea of imposition pulling me into the tulpa scene, too. I loved the idea of having 2D masterrace actually be real and stuff guess I got my wish. be careful what you wish for, this anime WON'T END This poses little problem while being beside the host but when moving further away it gets weird. always reminds me of this no
sushi October 9, 2015 Author October 9, 2015 To be honest, we never got very far mostly because my host is a lazy faggot. Same here, I suppose. So to me not having my own FOV while imposed really sucks. It's confusing and makes the whole thing kinda pointless. I can't even see my host if I were to look at him. I'd have to impose him and invent some scenery for the whole landscape behind him. How do others deal with this? What you could do is exist in a most-likely reality based on memories, inferences, and extrapolation. Thus the sign might say "Keep off the grass" when you read it, but resolves itself into "No littering" when your host reads it. Don't see your reality as any less valid, just less objective. You might also embrace that your reality is not that of your host. The sign might say "Please do not vandalize this sign" when you look at it, even after your host has already read it. There could be pink unicorns lurking around every corner that turn invisible when your host gets near. [Tri] But usually, it has been sense modification, like making something taste like something else. We can also do the "eat an imposed peanut/raisin" and have the feel and taste work, though the sense of weight is a bit off. I would love to get that far. That's my dream diet: spinach that tastes like cookies! Or at least spinach that tastes like floppy, wet, leafy cookies. Maybe cookies aren't the best taste to overlay there, but you get where I'm going with this. "Some things have to be believed to be seen." - Ralph Hodgson

Radically different textures might make it difficult, but there are other foods with a similar texture but good. But still, having spinach taste like cookies would be nice. Ido October 10, 2015 October 10, 2015 Can you keep up this sensation? We've done similar stuff by swapping the packages of fruit juices and forgetting about them, it works pretty well but only for a few seconds until the real taste breaks through. Don't see your reality as any less valid, just less objective. You might also embrace that your reality is not that of your host. True, but that's not actually what I am aiming for. Also I'm not someone who's into this 'alternative reality' stuff. I'd rather keep this in wonderland. There could be pink Christina Aguilera monsters lurking around every corner that turn invisible when your host gets near. That's , man! Super Girls don't cry

[Tri] Hail has been able to hold it long enough to drink half a liter of juice on the fast side, but not at gulping levels (means she put it down briefly, drank a bunch more, put down briefly, drank a bunch more). It was all done knowingly. The tricky part was what was being drank was really bitter (as in hard to handle a sip bitter) while the imposed taste was sweet. Leaf October 16, 2015 October 16, 2015 I have been musing over two potential techniques to impose. The first is more mechanical and the second more mental. Rather than staring at a blank wall I think it would be easier to start with minor derivations with color. Like instead of seeing black text see green. It is something you could do repetitively without boring yourself and while doing quotidian things. Then you could add more colors or change the shape of the color you have imposed. It seems more reasonable to do one piece at a time rather than a whole tulpa or even an outline of a moving body. The problem with the first approach is it is awfully boring and tedious. I remember back when I was younger seeing various shapes in the shadows at night. The second approach involves an environment with low light and lots of things to look at. I figure you could use the fact that the eye is not good at distinguishing colors and borders in low light, coupled with a bit of imagination to see various shapes and figures. I'm not sure if you could make it permanent, but I think it is a good first step to seeing something that isn't really there. Besides it allows for some creativity during the process, keeping you engaged. The downside is it requires a certain environment. I remember I tried sitting in a dark room for awhile and trying to get some level of imposition. I don't think I could get it dark enough coupled with irregularly doing it because I never got much but small flashes of light and basic shapes. And that was only after a long period of silently staring into darkness while trying not to visualize. If I did visualize, I simply would forget to pay attention to my surroundings, thus defeating the whole purpose. Unless you believe, you shall not understand.
tulpamancer31 October 16, 2015 October 16, 2015 i've been tulpamancing for 1 year and 15 days and im about %35 there with imposition id say, i can visually impose things into my vision like animations of things i do irl or a sentient mouse pointer but they don't really look "realistic" 'cgi" or super cartoon/anime like. instead they look like small transparent animations that appear about ten feet outwards from me in perspective. if i'm up close to the surface im imposing on it will be small and more detailed , if the surface im imposing on is far away like the ceiling above my bed then its larger and less detailed. i can see the shape and color of my hallucinated neck tubes in blurry reflections and shadows but they fade in and out slowly audible imposition i cant really do but i can have very limited control over it sometimes. smell and tase i haven't really practices that much ashamedly but ill get to them(maybe). one thing i've noticed is that imposed/wonderland senses feel more "digital" i guess you could say? while physical senses in retrospect feel more "analogue". i cant really feel the presence of my tulpas and touch imposition i'm moderate at i'd say. heres a word to the wise for beginners, don't be frustrated in your first say...25 hours of any kind of imposition. this is easily like others have said the final frontier of tulpamancing it is going to take you literal full months to more than likely get even where i'm at with imposition.you thought working those 2 summer jobs was a lot of time spent? imagine that except multiplied by five for imposition and your looking at how long it'll take you to get it to a "realistic level" to any software and hardware developers out there, i'm sure you'll appreciate this the most, what your basically doing as the default consciousness ,is your reverse engineering and "installing" new hardware and software into your brain. think of it this way your brain is a top of the line gaming computer from 30 years in the future with virtual reality support, but you can only use it to do basic things like simple calculator tasks remembering small things, it basically would be like being forced to use a computer that feels like its 8 years old that's actually 38 years more advanced than what its normally used for. tl;dr my experiences with imposition, inspirational talk, your brain is amazing and can do incredible things if you put your mind to it. Guest Anonymous October 16, 2015 October 16, 2015 tl;dr my experiences with imposition, inspirational talk, your brain is amazing and can do incredible things if you put your mind to it. I read your post in its entirety, but I felt like quoting this last phrase in specific. If you put your mind to it, your brain can do amazing things, the potential is really waaaay more than what you guys actually think it is. You just need to believe and put yourselves to it. Nice work, btw, tulpamancer31, it's nice to hear you got so far with imposition. I've been in tulpamancy for years and was able to impose my tulpa, still needs some focus and we're still growing up, both of us, as individuals that is. Cheers.
arcon October 24, 2015 October 24, 2015 id love to get to imposition with Hanna and got as far as psuedo physical interaction(like imposed arm wrestling) but thats a good way off for now but oneday i hope to be able to spar with her with a physical sword. and i wish i could get some sort of telepathic abities so Hanna could project herself in real life
Mirath October 25, 2015 October 25, 2015 As far as imposition goes, I'd love to get it down to all five senses. So far, to me it feels like a presence, like I can just reach out and I'd realistically touch my tulpa, even though we haven't worked much on sight or touch imposition
