Raetin November 10, 2015 November 10, 2015 Me: Reah, are you arrogant? Reah: In what way? *Both of us look at the technical definition* Reah: Based on that, not at all. Me: I'm gonna have to agree with that too. While Reah is very outgoing and extroverted, she puts the importance of other people first before herself. She can get pretty feisty, but not arrogant. I have 10 tulpas, but I'm only actively working on Reah, my first tulpa currently. Progress Report
Nyx November 10, 2015 November 10, 2015 Jack is not terribly arrogant. He laughs at himself all the time and makes the occasional self-deprecating joke. If we're teasing with each other, he may feign arrogance in an exaggerated, ridiculous way. He can be stubborn at times, which could be interpreted as slight arrogance depending on the situation. Luminesce November 10, 2015 November 10, 2015 Not at all. My tulpas are all incredibly selfless. Like, so much so that it's a bad thing. As for their "ego"s, which is very different from arrogance, I'd say Tewi's got some that she uses in appropriate places where I deserve it. Lucilyn is sort of too happy and fun-loving to be arrogant or worry about anything like that, I don't know how to judge her honestly. Flandre is sort of like me but more contemplative and somber, as of recent. She might have an ego, but given her history her current state is very impressive. And Reisen is the pinnacle of unconditional love, I don't think I've ever heard or seen her do anything that remotely resembles an ego. Really it's impossible for a human to have no ego, but she's a tulpa, not quite restricted to the same things as humans. Her very existence is maintained for me, although unlike in the case of a human it's not in an unhealthy or depressive way. It just makes me feel bad I don't give her enough attention, and then she tells me not to feel bad over her, and I smile because she's reminded me everything is perfect. My friends would say I have a pretty big ego though. Do I sound like it? Sorry. Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn. Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature. My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.
Deleted November 10, 2015 November 10, 2015 I like how the OP assumes arrogance right off the bat. A lot of tulpas Ive met in my time have been incredibly arrogant. Anyone have any theories as to why this might be? We are all mad here

Anyone have any theories as to why this might be? Probably because meatfolks like us keep telling them how insanely special and important they're to us. If you did that to a child it would surely turn out arrogant. Tulpa: Alice Form: Realistic Humanoid/Demonic Creation She may or may not talk here, depends on her.

NoneFromHell November 10, 2015 November 10, 2015 I see. So you are saying I should tell my tulpa that its shit to me. Noooo, but keeping it realistic would surely help. Just don't let the ego skyrocket, acknowedging there are lot similiar beings, etc. etc. (I wouldn't be able to say something that mean to my tulpa. I keep telling her she is special, just not 24/7.) Yuki November 10, 2015 November 10, 2015 Realism is good for tulpas going into the outside world. You can be the specialest little cutie that exists, but once you get out into the real world and people don't care about your special needs, things can get difficult, something I've seen in the kind of silly example of socially inept and unaware tulpas joining IRC channels or talking on here. Too much coddling makes for a pretty harsh smack in the face once they try to be a part of reality. Feel free to ask me anything. Suffering is self-imposed. Don't let it control you.

Too much coddling makes for a pretty harsh smack in the face once they try to be a part of reality. Ive never been one to try and dampen reality for my tulpas. Most people like to narrate books and such, but I normally narrate things that piss me off. Even when forcing I talk shit to them. Not in a "I hate you" way mind you. My first one came out ready to talk shit back and ended up being quite a realist and Im hoping for much the same situation with Ad. Its not my job to protect anyones innocence. You come out trying to be all cute and ignorant of the world and Ill tell you where to stick it. This is why Im not allowed to babysit children anymore... We are all mad here
Luminesce November 10, 2015 November 10, 2015 My tulpas inherited my basic views on reality, which are rather emotionless and scientific for the most part. I just treat life like "I'm here, might as well do stuff." Surprisingly, this leads to natural positivity, not coldheartedness. When you don't take anything too seriously, you're naturally inclined to put mild effort into making things more positive. That's me, anyway. My tulpas are their own people and use my own knowledge differently. Tewi's smarter than me due to her lack of mental barriers I have, and Reisen.. I'm not really sure where her personality came from, but I sure appreciate it. Lucilyn is a good example of free will in my system as she has access to the same level of knowledge and thought processes as any of us, but generally doesn't bother using it, opting to her own happiness and optimism. Flandre seems like me but less critical, I suppose. Overall, they're all better than me in their own unique ways. I aim to learn from them and attribute what I learn to my own life. Hi!
