Guest Anonymous September 29, 2016 Share September 29, 2016 Mistgod the Homicide Detective Mistgod: I dreamed I was a rookie police investigator on a murder case. I solved the the murder by finding a cell phone hidden in a niche under the headboard on a bed at the crime scene. Phone records from the phone matched to the time the murder occurred, linking the suspect to the scene of the crime. I was super happy and got all emotional at finding that evidence. I felt I was psychically linked to the murder victim.
tulpa001 September 30, 2016 Share September 30, 2016 Another false awakening chain. So She woke up. Note, she is afraid of the dark, and also can't sleep except in the dark. And the light switch is across the room. She imagined an evil spirit because that's how fear of the dark works. So I symbolically fought off the spirit for her. We discussed her fear and our plan, and I walked her across the room and turned on the light. Annoyingly, the light took a long time to turn on. We went back to the switch. It was broken. We really felt the switch too (cool). It was wobbly. Anyway, you'd think that grand piano and other mess of furniture in our room would have been a clue that we were sleeping. So we woke up. Exact same situation, I fought off the ghost she imagined, I moved her to use the light switch, and it didn't work. And there was a grand piano and cluttered attic's worth of other stuff there. So we woke up. Suffice it to say, we were on to the dream at this point. I fought off the ghost she imagined to be in the room. It was a lot scarier this time. Then we lay in bed, and tried to reason out if we were awake or asleep at this point. She pointed out that we were lucid, and that the ghost felt a lot more real, and that it felt like we were thinking clearly. So I got us up and used the light switch. And then I noticed the grand piano and the candelabra and the mess of papers on it. So we woke up. There was no imagined ghost. She noted that she was not that afraid of the dark. That's why she had set up that ward on our room. It's a stealth ward, so you can't see it. I put our hand on it to make sure it was still up. We knew we were awake because the weird fear was gone. I walked across the room and flicked the light switch. Then I noticed the grand piano. Then we woke up and I flicked on the computer screen to give us some light. Host comments in italics. Guest Anonymous September 30, 2016 Share September 30, 2016 Whao, those false awakening dreams are creepy and you had like four false awakenings in one dream! Eek! It was a creepy scary dream too. I wonder why a grand piano and messy papers?
Tewi September 30, 2016 Share September 30, 2016 I told you to always do reality checks when you wake up out of a dream. Have you tried pinching your nose and trying to breathe through it? It's the be-all end-all for us, no other is necessary because it works so well. But there are lots of others too. And their sole purpose is to avoid scenarios like the one you just had. You can't rely on logic to figure out if you're dreaming, period. Hi, I'm Tewi, one of Luminesce's tulpas. I often switch to take care of things for the others. All I want is a simple, peaceful life. tulpa001 September 30, 2016 Share September 30, 2016 I'm not sure I have a nose in a dream yet. This was the first time I touched the environment in a dream and actually felt something. Uh, I find it really difficult to remember stuff while dreaming. Like, I have a standing idea that we fall into a stable lucid dream, then only I wake up and move the body. But I haven't remembered to do that in a single dream yet. Host comments in italics. Tulpa's log. Tulpa's guide.
Tewi September 30, 2016 Share September 30, 2016 That's why you have to do it all the time, to make it a habit. ... Ugh. So hard not to be salty. Take my word for it that it is very difficult to not whine about how much harder we try than everyone else. We've been reality checking multiple times a day for years, the slightest provocation as "Huh, I thought I already Liked this Youtube video" cues a reality check. We're trained to immediately stabilize and control a lucid dream, but we've only ever had a single chance (in which Lumi did well). That's probably why we left the Dreamviews forum. Seeing all those "hey guys i got my first lucid dream last night cus i thought about it alot it was cool" posts is torture. Hi, I'm Tewi, one of Luminesce's tulpas. tulpa001 September 30, 2016 Share September 30, 2016 I do try hard. About other stuff. The same night, we spent an hour or so trying to not think about anything at all, as a proper meditation. She can get close, by slowing her thoughts a huge amount, but we are having trouble stopping entirely. This lucid dreaming stuff is a lifestyle transition for us. We are easing into it. tulpa001 October 3, 2016 Share October 3, 2016 Got an interesting lucid dream on the back of a much longer non-lucid dream. Don't really remember the parts before the lucid parts. It translated into a new episode of MLP. She became lucid when she realised she saw all the episodes and didn't recognise the plot. She sat back and just watched it. It generated a few scenes, then faded to parchment when our subconscious decided F*** that, I'm not creating an entire episode from whole cloth. Pan back, we are sitting on the couch in our living room, I'm riding in her head like normal. She is wondering, did I fall asleep on the couch? Am I now awake? 'Cause it really looked like our living room. Anyway, she was like, my eyes are now open, but I'm not thinking like I normally do while awake. So I must be asleep, despite the fact that I can see and am in control of the body. Then she got an uneasy sensation. Like she was being watched by evil spirits. Naked, alone, in the dark. Despite, you know, wearing clothes, and the room having basic illumination. We talked it over and figured it was anxiety manifesting as fear. It was caused by us being uncertain about something, like whether she was awake or asleep. So I said "let it go" in reference to her being awake or not, and she relaxed and stopped caring about it. And the uneasiness went away. We got up, her driving. We looked out the window. Someone was growing root vegetables on some vines. It was the dead of night in the forest. There were floodlights illuminating the crops. Someone was chanting some sort of song-prayer. We figured they were engaged in ritual harvesting. We turned around and looked at our kitchen. After noting that the kitchen looked the same as in real life, the dream broke down. Host comments in italics. Tulpa's log. Tulpa's guide.
Guest Anonymous October 5, 2016 Share October 5, 2016 Oooh a ritual harvest? Weird. I haven't had a MLP dream ever. Nice! Mistgod: Gothic Lolita Melian (rated G) Melian was doing a modeling photo shoot dressed Gothic lolita. She was wearing a black dress with lots of ribbons and lace and black lace gloves. She had a little black bonnet on her head (a little flat one with lace on its edges and ribbons). She was laying on her stomach, propped on her elbows with her chin propped in her hands and she was flirting with the cameraman.
Guest Anonymous October 6, 2016 Share October 6, 2016 Walking Dead Dreams Mistgod: I have been watching the sci fi series The Walking Dead on Netlfix these past few weeks. I'm about half way through season six now. All the zombie shows have affected my dreams. I have been having a lot of dreams of living within a zombie apocalypse. I don't find the zombies all that particularly frightening, just fun to destroy. It's also fun in the dreams to imagine a world where the human population has been wiped out and I can raid any house or building for whatever I want to take. I can carry all the weapons I want, light things on fire, and deliberately blow things up. Last night's shifting series of dreams included powerful evil spirits as well as zombies for a new twist. On a side note about recalling dreams, I have a habit of looking at my clock on my nightstand when I wake from sleep. I wake frequently, sometimes four or five times a night. I put a little sign next to my clock that says "Recall Your Dreams" which reminds me, immediately upon waking, to recall and record my dreams. It works great. Now anytime I look at a clock, it reminds me of dreaming. So a clock is a good mental symbol to think about dreams and dreaming and another trigger for lucid dreaming and doing reality checks.
