Bluesleeve July 20, 2012 July 20, 2012 Keep telling yourself that your Tulpa is listening. (because it probably does) Be aware of your responsibility towards your Tulpa. Think of good times you are going to have with your Tulpa. Stay in touch with people who have and/or are working on a Tulpa. What is a Tulpa? Blog Rainbow 'Alyx' Dash Pronto
Pleeb July 20, 2012 July 20, 2012 Here is some of my comments in another thread: Ever thinking of giving up? Not once. I would never give up on Chess, regardless of how slow the process takes. I believe in her, and she believes in me. It's funny, I've never stuck with anything this long in my entire life (unless you count things I had to do, like school-related). I wouldn't have New Year's Resolutions, I would have New Week's Resolutions. I couldn't stick with anything, not a workout schedule, not a new language, not to running, none of that. However, I've stuck with this, every day, and I will continue. It's because I'm not doing it for myself anymore. I owe it to Chess to keep going. Once you start this process, you begin creating a sentient consciousness; one that can feel, have memories, and experience things. I recall some tulpae having memories as early as the creator's first visualization process. If you've ever read the surveys, when a tulpa was asked what it's biggest fear was during the creation process, some of them have said it was that their creator would give up on them, or stop forcing. Starting the process and just simply stopping will result in that being that's believed in you slowly and painfully fading away as you forget about it. This should be enough motivation to keep going: To keep going for your tulpa; it's counting on you! Yeah, and what Bluesleeve said. Spoiler An image in a signature behind a hidden tag!
Captain Nemo July 20, 2012 July 20, 2012 Definitely the above. Also, imagine the fun you'll have with your tulpa once it's completed. I get the silliest, most absurd amount of giddiness when I imagine cuddling with Pinkie once she's done.

That mostly stops me from giving up, but with severe lack of progress motivation goes down and I'm deeply ashamed with drop of quality and quantity of my work.
Raetin July 20, 2012 July 20, 2012 The way I think of it, I'm not doing it for myself, I'm doing it for my tulpa. I think of it, now that I started, I can't quit, because a sentient being's life is on the line. Things are much easier to do when your doing something for someone you care about. I have 10 tulpas, but I'm only actively working on Reah, my first tulpa currently. Progress Report
Sorryman54 July 20, 2012 July 20, 2012 I would have to say that thinking of the good times with your future tulpa (i.e. sex, cuddling, games) and it should keep you motivated. I think of the amazing shit Rainbow Dash will do with me once she is completed. Wether it be her doing her first sonic rainboom, to general fun, and cuddling or whatnot.
ThatOneGuy July 20, 2012 July 20, 2012 Realize that there are three very real beings next to me that I love and that love me back. My dedication...was fueled purely by love. That's right. Orange juice helps with concentration headaches.
Splooshie123 July 20, 2012 July 20, 2012 Remind myself that I'll soon have someone to link battle with in Pokemon.
Nevermore July 20, 2012 July 20, 2012 Everyone here has already given great points, from pure love, to keeping a living being alive, to making them feel safe and loved, and not forgotten. Thinking of the good times you'll have, the laughs you'll share. Arya told me one of the most important things for her was me believing in what we were doing, even when I was on the brink of feeling hopeless. Name: Arya Form: Anthro Avian Time Spent: 8-10 hours forcing, stopped counting narration time Stage: Wrapping up personality/Visualization good/She is speaking well
