Sometimes I get a response that's literally a piece of a song, and the lyrics of the song are a response. Other times, a image comes through that feels like a response to what I'm saying. Is this normal?

Host: Jade

Tulpa: Star

I'm not pretty sure of understanding your point, dude. But if you mean that tulpae use the music to express their feelings I would say it's pretty normal. Vris for example. She sings. 99,9% of the time she's happy, and sings happily, but when she's angry she sings metal at full volume to express how angry she is. Rin, Beth and Miranda do the same. Just that Rin and Beth with guitar riffs and Miranda plays drums aggresively.

I've heard of young tulpas using both lyrics and images to communicate with their hosts early on, but I don't think that the lyrics are all that common. I don't think that you should be worrying about if it's normal or not as long as you're comfortable with it, though.

To me that's totally normal, nothing weird. Maybe your tulpa takes a strong liking to these music and art stuffs XD. If she/he doesn't bother you with that kind of communication it should be fine unless it is very disturbing.

It makes sense to me. It's pulling on something you already know, a memory, words you're already familiar with, and using them for communication. It's probably a lot easier to use existing data than it is to try and form it from scratch. Obviously you'll want to encourage your tulpa use their own voice, but in the early stages I don't think it's too strange to use strings of words you already have in your brain to communicate.

definitely make sense yo. I often times will be listening to music and Liz will pop up and be like "yeah, that." when a particular lyric passes. shaide does the same thing with text on a page, I get highlights over some of the words on the page and they make a sentence or phrase that when i read them in order I get a confirmative fox noise from him. intentions, given that they are coming from "something else", can be interpreted in many ways.
