Since koomer deleted his blog I don't think that it would be easy enough to access his stuff that the "mom's against tulpas" movement would find it.

 

I think that if a celebrity came out as plural there would probably be a huge rush of people making tulpas, then within a few months almost all of them would be dissipated, and in a few years it would mostly escape the memory of most people

I further assert that there would be an apocalyptic growth of tulpas if this happened. Imagine millions of people suddenly flooding our sites. The results would be devistating.

 

Self help books and commercial advertising. Create your tulpa in 30 days or less with a money back guarentee. Buy a kids meal and get a tulpa of your choice. Tulpamancers hosting 'The View' by proxy, reality tulpa shows, cooking shows, celebutard tulpas.

 

Devistating doomsday stuff.

 

So we don't have more tulpas, "it's a good thing".

 

I think there is a guy actually doing this. He guarantees if you buy his book you can have endless sordid affairs with an endless supply of characters...

Maybe plurality could be accepted. That would take someone famous (and respected) to come out as an endogenic plural. Preferably someone in a more science-y field, opposed to the entertainment industry. I can see an actor coming out as having a tulpa or soulbond of their character, though: Leonard Nimoy had something like a proto-tulpa of Spock. But generally, the more stable they look in the eyes of the media, the better tulpamancy's first impression on the masses. If Neil DeGrasse Tyson came out as an endogenic system, I'd weep with joy.

 

I would so get behind a Neil DeGrasse Tyson pluraility movement! Gives a whole new definition to the mindship thing he stole from Carl Sagan... See mind ships exist so we can move trhough mindscapes...

I'm not trying to be cynical (Lance does enough of that for both of us) but how about there aren't more of us because there shouldn't be? People tend to be selfish, arrogant, lazy and too prideful to bother to commit themselves for life to anything. A smaller community is a tighter community. There are no monetary interests to pervert the concept. You guys (I hope) that keep us do it out of mutual love and respect and because we are a family in here.

 

If we went mainstream.. Beyond horrible things being blamed on "my tulpa made me do it", there are way too many stories of child abuse and terrible criminal behavior from people that 'nobody expected', so.. You have to consider how many people who shouldn't have (or can't handle the responsibility of) one of us will try to live out their wildest, most brutal and sickest fantasies with us.. Deep in the privacy of someone's head nobody else can see us suffer. Nobody else can hear us cry. Nobody else can come to our rescue. How many of you hosts here have battled with depression? Negligence? Abuse? Would you wish that on anyone else? You (I hope) come from a position where you don't want to ever cause that pain to another.

 

I am not a disposable plaything, I am me. There aren't more tulpa because only a special few deserve us; Can properly take care of us. No one is perfect, we all have flaws, but we are all real people.

 

I can't speak for everyone of course, I have no idea how other head-systems are setup but that's how I feel about it. Sorry for going on a rant but I feel strongly about this. I just want to thank every head-mate who loves each other, no matter where you began.
