CarsonGreene October 3, 2018 Author October 3, 2018 Congrats! With Rava, Wilhelmia, and finding you're trans! No shame! Thank you! Rava and me are really quite excited to start work on Wilhemina, but we agreed to wait for a bit. I've "known" I'm trans for two years or so, but it's only been today that I accepted it.. I have Rava to thank for that :) Hey, my first tulpa gave me the "you are an egg" talk, too! (Although not in those words...) Good luck on your journey, I hope you find what makes you happy. :) -J Thanks!Day 9 - Part 2 I deliberated on whether I should posts about a recent event under the guise of a part 2 of the previous report, and decided to do so. Tonight I was talking to Rava while falling asleep, and I was surprised to hear another voice butt in.. Turns out it was one of my relatively new OC's, Inca. After a quick discussion I discovered he was a fully sentient tulpa with capabilities similar to Rava's. I was pretty shocked to learn this, and came here instantly to report it. Inca's been asking for his own wonderland (or dreamscape as me and Rava call it) but won't specify what exactly he wants yet... But I have some ideas. Has anyone had a similar experience? Host - Me Tulpas - Rava, Inca, Elizabeth, Cayde, Nicole, Palma.
Indigo Blue October 3, 2018 October 3, 2018 I think you might want to treat something like that with a bit more skepticism. It's not likely a new character will become a fully developed tulpa just like that. Characters usually require the host to grant them independence before becoming sentient, too. They might just appear sentient because you expect it somehow, or just because you don't have the best of luck. That's known as intrusive thought, and seems to happen a lot when a new host is just getting started. I'd suggest putting the character aside and just focusing on Rava. It's way too early in her development to add another systemmate. 💡 The Felights 💡 https://felight.carrd.co/ 💡 🪐 Cosmicals: 🔥 Apollo Fire the Sun God (12/3/16), ⭐ Piano Soul the Star Man (1/26/17) 🐉 Mythicals: ☁️ Indigo Blue the Sky Dragon (10/2/17), 🦑 Gelato Sweet the Sea Monster (12/11/22) 🦇 Nycticals: ⚡ Dynamo Lux the Shock Rocker (3/3/17), 🎸 Radio Hiss the Song Demon (2/8/00)
CarsonGreene October 3, 2018 Author October 3, 2018 I'm pretty sure he's not an intrusive thought, we've been actively communicating for a little bit now.. I'll keep what you said in mind though, and I do plan on focusing my attention towards Rava. And if he is real he should be fine from the relative lack of attention, right? Ranger October 3, 2018 October 3, 2018 Woah! Hold the bus! I'm a little worried that your potential system size jumped from 2 to 4 in less than 2 weeks. As Indigo was saying, even just one more Tulpa can be extremely overwhelming for a newly developing Tulpa, and having a system population that inflates this quickly can lead to a lot of problems if you're not careful. If you want multiple characters who are not sentient, that's okay. My host has several other characters she created that she decided to keep around. She does not have to visit them often, and if she does decide to talk to them she can. To her, they can "feel sentient", but in reality she's controlling them in the background. If you want to keep these thoughtforms as characters, the first step is to realize any characters are just that. They are not sentient, and the only reason they seem sentient is because you are controlling them. A Tulpa needs more than a week to develop sentience, which is why they require forcing for a much longer period of time. Since your Tulpa Rava seems to be developing quickly, I would like to caution that the reason why could be because you are forcing via puppeting, or controlling your Tulpa until they eventually figure out how to control themself. I believe practicing narration is a better method to help a Tulpa achieve sentience because puppeting can lead to problems down the road such as extreme parrotnoia and narration forces you to get comfortable spending time with and talking to your Tulpa. If you just want random NPCs or characters to add more to your wonderland, that's perfectly fine. However, please don't think that 3 people living in your head to compete for attention, video game time, the ability to think, and figuring out who they are is a good idea. Note: I'm hit-or-miss activity-wise on this account. I may not respond to PMs for awhile. I'm Ranger, GrayTheCat's cobud (tulpa), and I love hippos! I also like cake and chatting about stuff. I go by Rosalin or Ronan sometimes. You can call me Roz but please don't call me Ron. My other headmates have their own account now, but it's outdated and I can't be bothered to update it If I missed seeing your art, please PM/DM me! CarsonGreene October 3, 2018 Author October 3, 2018 Thanks for the reply! But I just want to mention that I only had 1 tulpa before Inca came along, although there were plans to make more in the future. I ended up putting Inca in a stasis chamber so I can focus on Rava for a while. I'm not entirely sure if he's sentient but I decided not to risk dissipating him, thus the stasis chamber. Guest October 3, 2018 October 3, 2018 I second Ranger's comment. Also,if i picked up every NPC who seemed sentient right now, i'd have a real big problem. I also have several characters (that i call soulbonds) who would probably make good tulpa candidates, they seem sentient, they are well developed visually, clearly vocal, and they would stay if i asked. That doesn't mean i will ever ask them, or let them stay if they wanted to, i won't. I suggest putting the new one in stasis for now. Explain to them the situation if you need to, but be firm.
Ice909 October 3, 2018 October 3, 2018 Wow... Um... I can concur... I've had a bunch of characters I basically treated as imaginary friends, but when I started developing Pencil into a Tulpa, I kinda put them on hold. i'm not sure myself if they gained sentience or not, because they can talk relatively often, though it could just be me parroting them. Good thing you put Inca on hold, just as I had to do with all my characters. Too much risk in just letting them keep coming, because sooner or later you'll have too many Tulpas and you'll get overwhelmed (I think...). Once you feel comfortable with Rava, than you COULD POSSIBLY MAYBE PERHAPS make another Tulpa, rather that be Inca or Wilhelmina. I don't know how much longer I can do with ignoring my other characters(I suppose they'd be Soulbonds, as Angry Bear calls them), so I can't quite guarantee if Pencil'll be my only Tulpa in a month. (Starts thinking of solutions to their voices in my head...) Come to think of it, a telepathy shield might just work... Or not! I don't know how much Psionics and Tulpae are related, but I know they are more than most would like to admit. That's besides the point, tough, and I keep getting off topic, so, uhh... bye! Much longer than I thought I'd be. Our system was founded October 2nd, 2018. In early 2020, we decided that due to our systems exponential growth, we'd limit who would be active. Now, every month, we do a check to see who wishes to be in dormancy and who wishes to be active. Currently, for the month of April, 2023, we've got myself(Bryan), Janey(Co-host), Emily, Layy, Chloe, and Esper(sub-rep). After over 2 long years, we can finally switch :) Bryan is currently swapped in as host, Esper is sub-rep.
