Starsaver August 26, 2012 August 26, 2012 On a related note, one of the biggest problems i has, is accepting tulpa's actions, which aren't puppeting. I feel her other ways, but i still can't tell who controls the representations at some points. Sometimes i see no problem in accepting movements, they fit her personality and just seems fine. But if i try just to let it flow, her representation can start doing shit and trolling, some of which totaly not her, but sometimes i dunno. How others distinguish conscious tulpa actions, and unconscious random crap? How this could be countered, or avoided?
Pashoo August 26, 2012 August 26, 2012 At this point, as long as the action comes naturally, I assume it's my tulpa at work. If she starts spazzing out, and it feels harsh and forced at the same time, then I assume it's me, try to dispel it, and continue on my merry way. Just about an hour ago, actually, I was watching a movie, and I told my tulpa (who I'm not sure is vocal as of yet) she could sit next to me while I watched. All of a sudden, I felt this very distinct pressure move up my back and rest on my head from her climbing on top of me. I knew it was her because it felt natural and fairly distinct. And it was adorable. An abstract, all-encompassing love is still a love, nonetheless.

How others distinguish conscious tulpa actions, and unconscious random crap? How this could be countered, or avoided? I did something last night that helped me establish what was puppeting / intrusive thoughts and what was genuine. Firstly, I let my tulpa perform an action on it's own (just try visualizing your tulpa, and see what it does) just to observe what her actions were like without puppeting. And then in the middle of said action, I interrupted and puppeted her intentionally. This helped me realize the difference between puppeted and non-puppeted actions (believe me, you can tell the difference when you do this). After that I pretty much said that any actions that felt the way they did when I interrupted her were puppeting and any actions that didn't feel that way were natural. Also, sentience can manifest at any time period. If your tulpa is moving without you telling it to, it's either an intrusive thought (which are easy to catch, as I find them to be either repetitive, completely ridiculous and/or reality-defying) or genuine.
Pashoo August 26, 2012 August 26, 2012 words Whoa. Teach me your ways. An abstract, all-encompassing love is still a love, nonetheless.
Poe6236 August 26, 2012 August 26, 2012 Whoa. Teach me your ways. Heh. Don't hail me as a genius just yet - I've only just started creating my tulpa. In this short time I've come to realize that creating a tulpa is entirely based on personal beliefs and assumptions. Some tulpa, after learning the ability to communicate through speech, claim that they achieved sentience from the day that their creator wanted to create them (I believe Socks' tulpa said this). You have to treat tulpa less like foetuses or primitive beings and more like foreigners in a strange land, in which they know neither the language nor customs. By putting vague restrictions such as hour limits on your tulpa, you are doing nothing but restricting your belief in your tulpa's sentience and causing both yourself and your tulpa to be unsure of themselves. Anyway, that's just my personal philosophy on tulpa. I'm starting to ramble, so I'll just leave it at that so the thread doesn't get derailed.

Knapp August 27, 2012 August 27, 2012 That's a damn good outlook on tulpa, Poe, keep it up. Name: Philip Age: (7 June, 2012) Form: Male teenage human, light brown hair, green eyes, jeans & hoodie Name: Amalia Age: (15 Dec, 2012) Form: Female teenage fairy, black hair, blue eyes, white dress
Pashoo August 27, 2012 August 27, 2012 I came to realize that only after forty hours of tulpaforcing with a terribly restricted outlook. Even now, I never thought to really analyze my tulpa's actions in that sense. This is why you must teach me. An abstract, all-encompassing love is still a love, nonetheless.
