I've had my fair share with... disturbing (and sometimes downright frightening) visions and thoughts. More often in the beginning of the creation, but more intense and "lingering" later on. I always talk to Philip about what I see and think when forcing or narrating, if something is not my doing etc. Usually when such a thing happens, I acknowledge it and then try to think about something else. Getting all worked up about it is only gonna make it worse. Then again, sometimes I get rather horrifying images, almost to the point of freaking me out. Philip is quite good at healing my pain and anxiety, and just a mere week ago I got a particularly nasty vision stuck in my head. I explained the situation to him (in case he couldn't see it, not so sure how much tulpae can see in your head) and asked if he could remove it or something. It helped a lot, and I was able to resume forcing afterwards.

Tl;dr: I think visions and thoughts affect your tulpa if you think they will. Tulpae are quite invincible.

All this talk with everyone has relieved my fear of much harm coming from these images. They don't bother me very much either, because, well, I've had these kinds of images my entire life.

Also, Knapp, who is that in your profile picture...?

She's cute.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

Is it strange that I've never had disturbing images related to my tulpa? The most I had was visions of her walking through the forest or simply laying down in a grassy field, visions that I couldn't control. I never had to deal anything violent or graphic ._.

Also, even though my tulpa's not vocal, yet, it's still a comfort talking to her if something does perturb me.

An abstract, all-encompassing love is still a love, nonetheless.

some of fedes tones cause wierd shit. but it goes away once you perfect visualisation autistically

This sounds intriguing.

Where can I find these tones?

Thanks a lot, I just downloaded a bunch of them.

I just had a quick 30 minute visualization session with the tones. That's actually pretty average for me...

At first, when I looked at his face, it turned into this scary thing that it hadn't before. This happened after a while, every time I looked at it. I thought it was the tones, so I tried it without, but the same thing happened. So I turned the tones back on, and kept concentrating. I got that distortions to stop pretty well. I find that the tones help me concentrate a lot better. This might have just been a good day, with little distortions, but I'd like to think the tones help.

Anyway, it was a great session, except that I couldn't help but puppet a lot.

So thanks for the info on the tones!

Another annoyance I have is that... Some people have found that asking their tulpa to, say, walk around is one way they've seen them preform their first movement. Well, if I ever make a suggestion like that, my mind makes him do what I asked, no matter what it is. So I honestly can't prevent puppeting, at this point. My mind is in primary control over what I visualize.

And then there's the worry that if I try too hard, I'll be forcing him to stay still, against his will..

This whole visualization thing is very frustrating for me...

Don't know if you've already read this or anything, but i personally found Chupi's words on the subject of puppeting to be quite illuminating/inspiring:

I'd also probably make his guide the default instead of FAQ man's or whatever. (No homo).

It's me, aren't I totemo kawaii desu ne? Uguu~ (^w^)/

Sorry. It's from some fanart I found on the internet, can't remember.

Thank you for posting that. It puts my mind at ease, a little bit. If it is true that every time I'm not sure whether or not it was puppeting, it wasn't, then my tulpa waved to me, today :)

The problem is, my mind sometimes makes him do things. It's as if there's another facet of my consciousness that is making the effort to make him move. If that makes sense.

That, or he's been sentient, and able to move since I first visualized him... And does things excessively.

I understood kawaii... And I think "ne?" is "yeah?", or "huh?" or something...

Anyway, oh well. I guess I can still enjoy it whenever you post in a thread I'm looking at.
