How did you first discover tulpae?

Just like a lot of people here, I found out about tulpae from /mlp/'s Tulpa General.

My friend showed me this video, making fun of people for "Not being able to make a friend of their own". Well, it peaked my interest, and... boom. (We aren't friends anymore, by the way.)

I don't even watch MLP, but I was lurking /mlp/ looking for pixel pony porn because my friend wanted to make sure he was the first one to make Minecraft pixel porn, and I saw a post that said "Should my tulpa have soft or hard hooves?" and I thought "Is tulpa a type of horse? I've never heard of it". I googled it, and the first few things I read was about metaphysical tulpa, which really interested me. Then I found this site.

Also, later that day, my friend became the first to create Minecraft pixel pony porn.

I was browsing Reddit, and I came across a comment on an /r/Luciddreaming thread linking to /r/Tulpas, and fennecgirl/Strel-chan/Kayleigh replied and said something along the lines of 'yay, my first time posting outside of /r/Tulpas!'

I was, intrigued to say the least. After the initial confusion wore off, I somehow found myself here.
