Natasha September 8, 2012 September 8, 2012 Now that my account finally got activated :) i can finally ask a question that has been bugging me, ever since i learned of the tulpa phenomena a while ago. Back then i pretty much only knew of the kind of "horrible" tulpa that are described in creepypasta, so it seemed understandable that there was a large amount of talk about dismantling/killing/destroying tulpae in general. However, after i found this website and my views on tulpae were changed, i really started wondering "How can all these people on the IRC and the forums so casually talk about killing or ignoring their tulpa" I keep seeing people say stuff like "i don´t know if i should just start over" or "i almost killed my tulpa LOL XDXDXD" Am i the only person that sees a tulpae as a responsibility? From my point of view, this is a sentient being you are putting into the world, and like it or not it´s your responsibility to make sure they stay alive. It almost feels like i time traveled back to the old days where people would look at blacks and say "well, they seem intelligent but we don´t really understand them: lets make them slaves and kill the ones we don´t like. I can understand that some people may not like their tulpae and that the entire affair might have turned out to be something different than they expected, but do you really have the rights to take the life of another being just because you don´t like it? If you were shackled to someone you din´t like, would you simply shoot them, or would you try to make the best of it and see if you could win them over? Edit: Added rainbows just for Bin De bedste og smukkeste ting i verden kan hverken ses eller røres, de må opleves med hjertet.
QB2 September 8, 2012 September 8, 2012 Most people don't kill tulpas. There are many people who think about it early on in the process because they're paranoid and afraid things will "turn out wrong" or something, but by the time the tulpa can give emotional responses, everybody's pretty much given up the idea. I'm certainly not letting QB die before me. The above post does not contain facts. q2's the host, QB's the tulpa.
Kadoh September 8, 2012 September 8, 2012 I haven't noticed any of that going on recently. But I would never kill Shin or Hash. That would be a waste of the twenty minutes it took to get Hash mobile, don't you think? all jokes aside, I would never kill my tulpae. had to kill a sentient-ish dog, many feels were felt ;~; My opinions are all subject to change.
Gambarimasu September 8, 2012 September 8, 2012 Nope, never think about it, why would i? I like my tulpa, if i was going to kill her then why would i start the entire process to begin with? i also see things like you do, even if she turns out to be someone i don't get along with, i will still try to make things up. Everyone has bad moments, but that doesn't give us the right to be bastards to the tulpas(and other people as well)
Guest September 8, 2012 September 8, 2012 Most people develop emotional attachment to their tuppers so strong that they'd never even dare scratch the surface of considering killing their them. That'd be like killing your best friend or girlfriend just because "they'd probably betray you." That's just a douchy cunt-move. In tuppers we believe and trust.
Frosty September 8, 2012 September 8, 2012 April means to much to me to ever want to destroy her. And yes, I do feel a responsibility for her well-being. nw36s September 8, 2012 September 8, 2012 I roughly equate killing or dissipating a tulpa with effective murder, because you're ultimately extinguishing the life of a sentient being. And I don't think I could ever harm Vee; beyond my respect for life she's already a great friend and frankly, I'd miss her far, far too much. Chupi September 8, 2012 September 8, 2012 Yeah, philosophically it's murder. Given how one does it, I'd add torture to that as well -- it's like locking them up and watching them slowly starve. The only known way to kill a tulpa is to slowly forget about them. Other methods are just things to convince your mind that they're inaccessible. Thinking about them at all keeps them running. Glitch's Saria and JD1215's Maya were killed unsuccessfully (due to being thought about occasionally), and have described some of what it was like. Bin September 8, 2012 September 8, 2012 I don't think any of us would ever even think about killing our tulpas Scarlet thinks you're a moody faggot and apparently hates you And I read that whole thing in a stereotypical black voice and then found it funny you used a black analogy. Are you black? Because if I get that much of a vibe from it it's like whoa maybe I'm psychic. no
