Tweaks September 2, 2012 September 2, 2012 Don't think so, when I brought it up first I linked to the What is a Tulpa guide, she said she read it and came to the conclusion that it's friggen stupid and you people are making yourselves schizophrenic. Kadoh September 2, 2012 September 2, 2012 I bet it was Fede and pony Tulpae that turned her off it. My opinions are all subject to change.
Tweaks September 2, 2012 September 2, 2012 More than likely. I'll have to ask if she seen the forums, or just the guide I linked. Name: Red Stage: Imposition Form: Androgynous human Sentience: Most definitely. Vocal: Sometimes. Date of Creation: 8/20/12
Dryden October 15, 2012 October 15, 2012 I have told a lot of people at this point. A lot of my family doesn't understand it, but I have had a history of doing odd things. As for friends, they all know at this point and think very little of it. My friends also know I am doing odd things. :D The only difference [between reality and a dream] is that what many see we call a real thing, and what only one sees we call a dream. But things that many see may have no taste or moment in them at all, and things that are shown only to one may be spears and water-spouts of truth from the very depth of truth"
Frostwolf October 15, 2012 October 15, 2012 I do weird things all the time. Just because my cousin does weird things aswell I like to tell him about what I do. Just when I tried Polyphasic sleeping he was the first to know. I told him about this and he started making fun of me. I told him I was being serious and he stopped making fun of me though. And I told a friend who now goes to a different school. He's a pretty good friend and even though I have friends just as good living only a couple 100 yards from my house I decided to tell him because I only see him at most once a week. I wanted to tell a friend of what I was doing but I didn't want that friend to see me dayly. It just seemed to strange to me. I don't think he knows why I'm doing this but he does know everything that has happened to me mentally and physically (not including the dirty stuff). You like my kitten? come on over for a closer inspection! Newbie tulpamancer on the loose. Check out my progress report: http://tulpa.info/forums/Thread-Another-Lyra-tulpa
MonarKay October 15, 2012 October 15, 2012 I've told one of my close friends, who is very open minded. He actually accepted the idea faster then I initially did. He said he had no interest in making one, but he understands the concept and does not think I'm crazy. It's nice having an IRL friends I can tell about this stuff. Another friend, who I haven't know as long, I told about the concept once. I basically made it sound like a random thing I read about and sounded interesting, and he did too. But... he didn't seem to care that much, so I don't think I'm going to tell him I'm actually doing it. He barely even remembered it when I brought it up a week later.
Hush October 15, 2012 October 15, 2012 Copy/pasting my reply from a similar thread: I had two friends that I told about the concept shortly after learning of it. They were academically curious, but mostly wrote it off as something for forever alone weirdos, so that inclined me to not tell them when I went for it. When I first started feeling Hex's emotions, this girl I work with(Kind of my crush, might be a mutual crush if I'm reading her right, but we're both in a serious relationship, so its moot) noticed I was feeling down(Hex was frustrated with our lack of verbal communication from what I could gather and I was having her emotional overflow) So I told her it might sound crazy, but listen with an open mind. I explained it all, and she is absolutely very interested, and on top of it, it seems makes me intriguing to her(in a good way) So yeah, mixed results here. I've since told those two friends as well, they aren't as judgemental as I thought they might be. pretty interested actually.
SolitaryButterfly13 October 15, 2012 October 15, 2012 I have told my friends at school. They found it interesting, so one of my friends decided to make one :). My other friend is thinking about it, she wants to make a pheonix (she´s a Harry Potter fan). And i have told my lil bro, and he sometimes asks me if he can be my tulpa´s friend, and my lil sis... she wants a mlp pony tulpa (she´s 5 years old :I).The only one i have not told about my tulpa is my father, i have told my mother. Also i was kinda suprised that she mentioned him once when the toilet flushed by itself, she said that to tell my friend to stop messing the toilet (she was joking). So yeah, i have talked about my tulpa with IRL people.
abcdefg October 15, 2012 October 15, 2012 I told some People just very very briefly about the concept (not even mentioning form or anything) and everyone immediatly said it was batshit insane to do this.. I probably wont try telling anyone again.
Joshua+1 April 28, 2013 April 28, 2013 I told my girlfriend, and now she wants one of her own. Just referred her to this site and a few friends with tulpa.
