Takuto May 29, 2012 May 29, 2012 I've been uploading my progress on the social networks I use and other than a couple intellectual discussions on the nature of Tulpae and what exactly they are no one seems to have objected to it, and if they did they kept it to themselves.
Amped May 29, 2012 May 29, 2012 I told two christians who came to my door that I spoke to a white furred, blue haired demon in my mind. They never visited again. Greatest response ever
Pashoo August 25, 2012 August 25, 2012 I told some of my friends, and they think it's a cool idea, but they seem totally repulsed by the idea of actually doing it, though. When it came up, my friend asked me, "You're not actually doing it, are you?" and I lied and said no. It kinda bothered me because he kinda looks to me to be a better person. He tends to overreact to things, get crabby, and stuff like that, and he knows it, while I'm the chill, happy guy who has never legitimately hated a person in all my life. The way he asked me made it seem like he thought trying to make a tulpa was a bad thing. It might just be his skepticism, I dunno. Anyways, the only one to find out that I was in the process was my brother when he found a journal, and it was kind of a shock to him, but he just joked about it, saying not to have weird conversations with myself while he was around. My parents were there at the time, but they didn't pay much mind. An abstract, all-encompassing love is still a love, nonetheless.
QB2 August 25, 2012 August 25, 2012 That seems to be a very common response. "Oh wow, that's really cool! But don't tell me you're doing it, that would just be weird." I've never told anyone, though. Who is there to tell? Families are a guaranteed "you're crazy", friends are usually just people you hang around sometimes... I need a stoner bro. He'd understand. The above post does not contain facts. q2's the host, QB's the tulpa.
Kiahdaj August 25, 2012 August 25, 2012 I told my mother that I was going to be making one about 2 weeks ago. Luckily, she's quite open-minded to most things, so she thought this was a really cool idea. She said she'd kinda like one, except she doesn't think she has the time to devote to them. I mentioned it to my brother (not that I was making one), and he seems to just kinda blow it off; which kinda surprised me, since he's into metaphysics. I'm never going to mention it to my father, he mistakenly thinks I'm unstable, as it is. I likely wouldn't ever mention it to a friend, unless necessary. If I ever met a person open-minded enough, and that I became really close to, I'd probably mention it for their benefit, but I honestly doubt I'll find someone like that, at this point. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
Frosty August 25, 2012 August 25, 2012 I've only ever mentioned it to one person so far, and that's my brother. See, my brother used to practice this "religion" (that's what he calls it) which seems to have a lot in common with Wicca and occult type stuff. Not demon worship, just...supernatural type stuff. Anyway, he told me a bunch of kooky stuff about it, that he would fight spirits with invisible swords, cast spells, being chased by vampires and werewolves...you get the idea. I always kinda wondered where he got whatever it was he was smoking and how much it cost lol, but he said he legit believed this stuff and could legit see spirits and whatnot sober. To each his own I guess. So I figured if there was one person I knew that I could talk to about tulpae and not have them institutionalize me, it'd be him. When I first decided to create a tulpa, I told him about it and told him I was seriously considering creating one. He then proceeded to tell me that he's done it before, and could make multiple tulpae in like 30 minutes, no problem. I'm pretty sure he's either talking out of his ass or there is a serious miscommunication going on. Anyway ever since then I haven't brought it up, and I don't plan on telling anyone else. NED August 25, 2012 August 25, 2012 Ive told my dad about my tulpa, but he is a spirtual buddhist type. And he keeps saying stuff like im gonna let evil spirits into my body and lose all my yin or something. Ive told my brother and hes cool with it and he actually is okay with interacting with my tulpa. Ive told some of my friends and some of them dont care, some of them are interested but i dont bring it up, my best friend is okay with it and also interacts with her. I would tell my mum but shes a psycho bitch and she will have a fit thinking that i am a mental satanist Name - Silver Form - Harpy Sentience - fully sentient Personality - Playful, cheerful, enthusiastic, chilled Smell - Baileys Stage - Narration and imposition
knux3k August 25, 2012 August 25, 2012 I'm not going to tell my close family(they already think I'm weird enough) but my friends I tell almost all the time if I haven't before xD However, if I think someone might be weirded out or something I don't specifically say it, though I might >imply it.
Knapp August 25, 2012 August 25, 2012 I do the same as I do with my nerdyness. I hide my power level to those I feel would not accept/understand/like/tolerate it. Unfortunately, I have to hide both of them more than I'd like to, noone IRL knows about my tulpa as of now. And I don't think noone ever will.
