Then, there is the sentient from the start thing. Bull fucking shit. If they were sentient from the start, I'd have uncountable amounts of Tulpae due to stray thoughts.

Well fuck. This partially explains why there are so many clueless and confused newcomers. It's quite easy to tell this comes from the reaches of /mlp/ tulpa general threads because of the countless contradictions, mindless circular logic, Fede-Lasse buttloving, and pseudo-intellectual definitions filled with words pulled straight from the thesaurus. I think the worst part of it is that it's just a sloppy compilation of previous guides haphazardly slapped together into an inconsistent mess. It's so packed full of misinformation and buzzwords that, if this guide were a person, I'd shoot it in the face.

 

However, in regards to assuming sentience from the beginning, I think it's more about not doubting responses. I'd hope nobody actually believes their tulpa is legitimately sentient from day 1. Of course it really should be revised, as I'm sure there have been at least a few people who took the phrase literally. But otherwise I completely agree.

I can't speak for having it happen on one's first tulpa, but I can attest to the possibility of a vocal tulpa in 3 days or less. 15 minutes, to be precise. Not out-loud auditory hallucination vocal, but that isn't what most of these 3-day-tulpa people are claiming. They're claiming to get a mindvoice or thoughts from their tulpa, which is exactly what I had from Anera (my 3rd tulpa) 15 minutes after Lyra (1st tulpa) made her form, with neither of us intending to make a tulpa.

 

As for newcomers able to talk with their tulpa in 3 days, they might have past experience with similar stuff. I would think that daydreaming, developing characters, and having imaginary friends would be things that'd give the sort of experience needed to get a tulpa up and running quicker. Obviously it also helps a lot that they aren't being indoctrinated that the process must take months and that they should fear parrots and servitors.

Telk, who Shai also created by accident was vocal in an hour or so. He is my old imaginary friend which I had for years when I was a kid. I would've considered him a fully matured tulpa at the time if I knew about them. He was also vaguely imposed.

I still remember the days where I couldn't hear my sister speak and she was just a living doll that can't move.

As day goes by, forcing and imposing, new guy came. They got their tulpa vocal in days, some got possession right off the bat, switching got popular, tulpa sex left and right, and here's me with Chloe who I took months before I can hear her voice but still no sign of possession and switches.

All those, if you may pardon my language, shit really made me doubt the existence of Chloe many times and it was horrible for both of us.

 

At least Aigis got sentient much faster.

It does beg the question, though;

why exactly were creation times so long in the first place?

If 3 day tulpas are possible and happening now, then what has changed to make it happen?

Before you say that it's the whole thing about treating as sentient from the beginning, remember that this practice has been around for at least 6 months.

And why are people who were previously slower not accelerating now?

Hex was somewhat vocal 2-3 weeks in(as in a few sporadic words), able to express full sentences and hold conversations before the one month mark, by 6 weeks I'd say she was close enough to my level that it didn't much matter. I'd assumed my progress was fairly typical until now.

Since you seem genyinely interested, it took Shai exactly 53 days to gain full vocabulary without the need to replace harder words with emotions. For IRC or interviews she was vocal enough in 30 days with 1,5 to 2 hours of active and 2 more of passive narration every single day.

 

Shai accidentally created Telk by switching with a servitor that gained sentience immediately after the succesful switch (according to him). She thought that she managed to put the body on autopilot and left to the wonderland to keep company with me as I had experienced a deep mental breakdown. When Shai gained control of the body once again, Telk came in the wonderland and talked with me for a while, this being about an hour after Shai switched with him the first time.

 

I can't force anyone to believe me, but both me and Shai have no problem believing Telk after he showed us some old memories with me imagining him and talking to him about 11 years ago. I had completely forgotten about this memory but when he showed a bit to me, I recalled everything.
