I naturally "parrot" to myself as part of my daily thought process, talking and responding to myself. Could this interfere with my tulpa in any way? When I do this, I never imagine that it's my tulpa responding.

On this board, we generally see parroting as something counterproductive, which means that you could up with a servitor - at least from what you hear. Despite of this, parroting to a very small degree (see Irish's kickstarting method) can prove beneficial.

However, we don't have any reliable sources or data on how much parroting negatively effects the tulpa's sentience. So, you have two ways:

Either, you continue and parrot during the creation and tell us your progress, so we will have more accounts on what might happen because of parroting.

Or, if you want to stay on the safe side and stick to the guides, you will have to stop your parroting habit.

Well, I'm not actually parroting my tulpa. It's mostly just responding to myself. I'm not in the narration step either.

If you're not even thinking about your tulpa when responding to yourself, I don't see there being any harm.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

Pretty much my thoughts. I talk to myself in my head incessantly, but when I'm thinking about April or trying to visualize her then I concentrate on talking to her, not myself.

Tulpa's name: April

If you believe it's not your tulpa, it's not.

My opinions are all subject to change.
