I'm cool with that, I got kind of carried away: I'm writing more of a story here than an explanation, hope no one minds.

How did I meet Joal... Was a good question to the man, he never really thought about it; he never needed to, she was normally right there to make new stories with him so reminiscing was pointless. ''This is a tiny bit of a sad story, I must warn you. But it's more of a golden cloud with black linings, and less like the opposite.''

He looked over to the clerk and raised one finger, ''Sorry, I'll have a single scoop of strawberry, if you don't mind.'' The clerk nodded once more.

''I think... I think I was about sixteen? Or so?—I hope you don't mind me shiteing on a bit, by the way.—I had a tough life, my family and I were living in a town that was... a main target for raids and the likes. It was kind of training grounds for raiders.

''I had invested most of my time learning first aid, medicinal magic and some basic fighting skills. We had gotten notice that a group of bandits were going to raid us—from the bandits—and I was sent out to scout, because I could best handle myself.

''I scouted for about two hours with no hint of any attack. My search area was a square kilometer, so, desperate, I decided to search outside of it.

''After about another hour I began hearing this noise... it was sort of like a droning, harmonized with really high pitched echos. I followed my ears as best I could, but they didn't do me much good; I was more drawn to the noise by the beauty of it than the sound itself; until I came to a clearing. In the clearing was a very bloody mess, five knights and a pony.

''This almost angelic looking creature, (I had no idea what it was because we never had ponies or any other vocal animals, bar dragons, around those parts,) was sitting on top of the corpse of the raid leader, slowly plucking this long rod with strings on it and humming along with the tune in perfect harmony.

''Damn was I scared, but I still approached her. My first step, despite all my quietness, was still heard by her and she immediately jumped into the air and began flying, pointing her music maker at me. [Hark! Who's you?] She called.

''I was mystified: this angelic creature who sang sweet songs, still to sit strong on slumbering blood splillers could talk, and not only that, but with power and grace.'' The man began to get very excited, beginning to gesticulate and project his voice,

''''My name is G.'' I said, rapt in it all, ''I'm no enemy.'' [Oh really?] She asked, [Prove it.] And I just stood there! What was I supposed to do? I lost my mind a little in fear, she could have easily butchered me if she had actually taken and defeated five knights. But I kept calm; her massive wings were beating enough air into my face—even from five meters up—to keep me cool. It was all so awe-striking.'' G realized how loud he was actually shouting, luckily to only the clerk and four other people who were in the parlor, ''Oh, uh, sorry. Can I finish this later?'' He whispered to Chloe.

((Really sorry guys! I got really busy yesterday and I had no time to come back here and post!))

A small flame began to burn inside the kindle. It would be enough. Miah swiveled on her heels and sprinted northward. "Come on!" she shouted. Her heart was pounding. It had been a long while since she had done anything like this. It brought back memories of tattered flags flying through the air, the smell of sweat and blood, the crys of angery men, women, and children who would no longer grovel for a simple morsel of bread. Interesting times.

But then was not now. Now Miah swung around the corner and was running parallel to the north wall heading west. She was sure to keep close to the barricade, the people would soon be seeing the smoke. Being prepared as they were for what ever attacks they had been holding off,she did not expect they would let the entire wall burn to the ground, nor did she want it to. It was only a distraction. She was crafty, not cruel. She could, and would kill, but only when necessary. She would burn, but only when practical. She would steal, but only when needed. The world was cruel enough, she need not make it worse without a cause.

The ranger turned the nest corner, blades of grass flying from her boots. Her feet pounded towards the middle of the west wall. Her breath was heavy in her own ears. She could feel that old feeling, the excitement only battle could bring. Her old friend had once explained it as adrenaline, some sort of chemical, pumping through the veins. A mere biological function, no more. Miah begged to differ.

The huntress slid to a stop at the middle of the wall. Looking up, she could see a small tendril of smoke against the sky. Exellent. Without a second thought she began to make her way up the barricade.

[Agility roll (D8): 2]

She clambered up the wall, gripping in between the log's gaps, like a Black Widow making its way to the fly. With a flip, she put her self upon the battlements, bow and arrow drawn, with her knife in the same hand as as the bow, so as she could be prepared to use both.

Pruria got her mark and began to run with the huntress, she didn't fly, knowing her extended wings would put her farther from the wall. When Miah stopped, the pony did too; she began to scale the wall, the pony did too.

Using a combination of the little grip hooves could offer and very shallow beats from her wings, Pruria followed Miah

Roll agility; d14: 9

She lost grip and slid down the wall a meter, she opened up her wings fully and pulled against them will all her will,

Roll agility: 3

She regained grip and managed to stay at Miah's boots. When she came to the top of the wall she withdrew her weapon and kept one hoof on the fret board. [Now?] She whispered to the girl of little words and endless action, [Do we what?]

And please, call me G.

Miah's group should be at the west of the town currently

Fire is at the east.

Vixen is at Northwest.

G and Chloe is near the middle of the town, eating ice-cream.

Chloe

"It's alright, that's all I wanted to hear G."

Chloe said as her ice-cream arrived. She ate a spoon-full of chocolate and banana before continuing.

"So she took on five knights single handedly? She must be really strong!"

Chloe took another bite.

"Why did she came to your village anyway?"

Vixen

Vixen re-filled the mysterious content inside her pendant. She sighed. Her face is filled with sorrow and hopelessness. She walked out of an alleyway near the tavern and make her way back to her house.

[This is HQ, the eastern wall is on fire.]

Something on the floor sounded. Upon closer inspection, it's a white walkie talkie with a single gold stripes on it. It must be Aigis's.

[All eastern units, proceed to extinguish the fire. HQ out.]

Aigis invented the walkie-talkie, and it was a great help towards the Dragon Shield Corp. The great obstacle of communication have been sorted out almost perfectly. The walkie-talkie relays the message in a binary code through a small relay tower that spreads over the city to the other walkie-talkie. Though it only works inside the Abani town with powers running. The walkie-talkie itself can communicates directly with another walkie-talkie without the help of the relay tower.

Vixen look towards the east. She saw a pillar of smoke.

"Must be some sort of bandits..."

The she realizes something. There can't be any bandits here. The monster is too much for the bandits to holdout themselves. But the monster can't set the fire up either, wargs are too stupid, vampire dies in the sun, bats don't come out for the same reason. However, a wrath possessing a person could do it. They might try to smuggled into town without being examined using the fire's distraction then unlock the gate at night for their comrade.

Vixen went back for the walkie-talkie and yelled into it.

"HQ, this is Drake, do you read!?!?"

[This is HQ]

"The fire is a distraction, someone is planning to infiltrate this place! Over!"

[Negative, that's nonsense.]

"A possessed might be trying to gain entry and compromises the defense at night! We must search for them NOW!"

[That's... Copy that.]

Vixen starts running towards the western wall as the walkie-talkie gave out orders to others to search for the intruders. And of course, to stop the fire.

((Wait..what? Chloe, we set the eastern wall on fire and I said that Miah and Pruria are at the western wall. Why did you change it?? Also, I can't really do anything until someone decides is there are any guards atop the western battlements. Wouldn't be fair of me to do it. Also, we are going to need stats for the guards.))

Oh shit sorry, I'll re write the above post

Update: It's re-written now. You might end up fighting guard or vixen or both. It's also possible to go for a none-combat route.

Another Update:

-Knight to Riflemen ratio are 1:3. 8 guards means 2 knight and 6 rifle.

-If you want to do stealth, just roll your agility against their accuracy.

-Place guards the way you want, just make sure your sneaking scene is not too easy.

Chloe - That cheerful girl with ponytail.

Aigis - The male cyborg that looks like raiden in MGR.

Vixen - Half dragon female who looks like Mary in DMC3 when in human form.

Okay, In guess I can bring some more continuation to this.

Eventually the two ice creams, arrived, and the two dug in, G taking a little longer—because of his small portion, and his pondering—Why did she come to my town? That's a very good question too.

''I have to tell you, Chloe,'' The man said with half a spoon of ice-cream in his mouth, ''I honestly can't remember.'' He lied. Thinking back in detail to the day, G realized the pony never told him why she arrived to his town's borders and slaughter a group of raiders, especially at the age she was.

He does remember what she told him when he asked though; the two were sitting at a fire in the woods; G had not returned to his town by then. ''So... Pr-''

[Joal]

''So, Joal... why did you come to my town anyway? What importance does it have?''

[To watch.]

No matter how much he pryed, she never told him, she just repeated what he first said.

The man's mind wandered, as did his head, his eyes drifted to the shop window. Mainly the building across the street was in it's line, but just above it was a sliver of sky, and in that sliver of sky was an even smaller sliver of smoke. ''Fire''

Chloe more than likely didn't understand what he meant so he looked at her, wide-eyed, ''There's a fire out side the window!''

((Um... I still really don't want to place the NPCs. It's just not fair.))

I actually placed the guard myself during the mysterious boy side of the event. (I'm sure you can quite guess who he is)

It should be fine as long as you keep the guard in character and the event appropriate.

E.g.

They fought monsters day and night so they won't be sleeping on their post. But their inexperience against fighting a stealthy human opponent may allows you to sneak better. The DSCs just realized they are being distracted so most of the guard won't be on their post. The DSC knights are also quite slow and few in number so Miah and Joal probably would not encounter them at all. Think of something like that.

Chloe

Chloe looked outside the window to the east. A pillar of smoke is quite far away. Chloe stuffed her mouth with bananas covered in chocolate ice-cream and said with a muffled voice;

"Don't worry. The guards should take care of it..."

Then, Chloe choked on her banana as she realizes something. She pounded her chest and drank some water before yelling with a wide-eyed 'oh-crap' expression.

"MIAH!"

Chloe - That cheerful girl with ponytail.

Aigis - The male cyborg that looks like raiden in MGR.

Vixen - Half dragon female who looks like Mary in DMC3 when in human form.

''Okay... IT LOOKS LIKE SHE IS BURNING THE TOWN DOWN!''

A millions ideas raced through G's mind, Is anyone hurt? Would Miah have actually done that? Why did Pruria help? But most of all, We aren't going to run out of this place without paying are we?

The man stood up, ''How much did that ice-cream cost?!'' He ordered, in an authoritarian tone,

Roll to see if clerk has any sense of critical situations; 12: 11, near critical fail.

The shop keeper simply looked at the man, wide eyed, more than likely brain farting from confusion, ''The current time is not one for dily or daly!''

Re-roll; 12: 5

''F- five liangs.'' She got out, after peering out the window for a few seconds herself. To which G replied to by reaching into one of his satchel pockets, and slamming two coins down on the table.

''I've left you a tip.''

((Liangs is one of the many ainchiant Chinese currencies, for you Wrath.))

With Chloe probably dying from brain freeze, G took her hand for a change and dragged her from the shop. G was a man on a mission, he looked into the sky to see that the fire smoke was a dark grey, this told him that the fire was medium sized, and probably not munching on much wood but stone.

''ALRIGHT!'' He said, feeling particularly in charge, ''WHICH WAY DO WE GO!''
