Tulpamancing Roleplay: An exercise in visualization.

The pony started once more, ''Wait! Why are you just wondering around then?'' Her voice was more angry, ''Why would one want to go somewhere in such a hurry?; Don't compare me to beasts such as, by the way.''

''Hey, calm down, Joal. This guy isn't a threat... I think we're all just on a different page. Leo, my name is G, this is Pruria. Neither of us are from here, we just happened to find ourselves here on this particular night—through a series of interesting events. Sorry, 'bout my partner, she's just a little concerned—as I am—because you're being a little grey with your responses, now please, if you don't me mind asking: for what purpose are you studying dark magic? No one I know would even think of a thing, let alone study it, without a very good reason.''

 

The pony sat down, as a sign of passiveness, but glared intently at the practitioner, as a sign of sure readiness.

[Wrath]

"Why am I studying dark magic? because it's magic, that's why. I may only be proficient in two area's, but that doesn't mean I don't have an interest in a broader rage of subjects"

He sniffed.

"Can't a man just be inquisitive?"

''Oh... sorry...'' The pony reluctantly said, realising she was wrong.

''Yeah, I guess we can be a little inquisitive ourselves...'' The man repeated the wizard, realising he was in a similar wrong. ''Well, keep safe.''

''And don't get too close to them things, they have good left hooks, and not bad righties either.''

 

The air was crisp, if not for a hint of metallic; G's realisations came anew, ''Fuck, the generator! Vixen and Chloe and all that! Come'n Pruria, let's just hope that engineer guy is just having problems, and they haven't been attacked by dark warriors themselves or something.'' The man chuckled. ''Farewell Leo.''

''Ha ha, yeah, let's just hope that they can teleport or something if they were.'' She joined.

 

G took a glance at the man before they began sprinting, once again, half-blind to the generator. But a slit of light caught his eye with the medic's movements, and his isris told not of lies—white, or black—but more of worry, and unnourished hasten; odd...

 

The pony didn't see what G had seen, but only hoped that the wizard caught her eye of apology; and that what herself and her man had just joked about, stayed untrue.

Basically, I'm more suited for ambushing enemy and performs much better on a planned battle.

Cruse Cerulean

 

Light assassin. Outwits and confuses the enemy and pick each of them off one by one.

 

A teenage boy with blue straight hair that covers the left half of his face. 175cm tall. Thin build. Wears a blue shirt and a pair of black jeans. He also wears a hooded light grey overcoat that he use to carry most of his weapon which mainly consists of knives that can also be thrown.

Sanity [8-30] 8

 

Roll sanity for 10 when sanity exceeds 30. Succeed= sanity goes to 29, fail = falls unconscious.

 

+1 to Acc, End, Str every 2 sanity increase.

 

Traits:

 

Light manipulation lvl2:

 

-Roll sanity 3 times, take total value.

[D5] +20 sanity. All light essence shatters, disorienting all nearby target.

[D10] summons 7 light essence

[D15] summons 3 light essence

[D24] summons 1 light essence

 

-each instances of light entities increases sanity by 1.

-Light essence must be controlled with the user's own mind. The user cannot take action when commanding light essence, but all light essence can be controlled at the same time.

 

Dawn Assassin:

-When attacking unaware target, triples the target's rolled value.

-When attacking target from behind, or if the target is effected by status ailment, -2 to rolled value.

-Always succeed in climbing.

 

Gifted teleporter:

-Roll sanity less than 10 to teleport. Requires at least 1 turn of focus. Activation can be delayed if needed. +2 sanity when used.

A ball of light that must be controlled manually by the light assassin.

traits:

Synthesis:

Light essence can be combined into various item, or used instantly. Can be done at the same time as summoning. Each item only counts as 1 entities.

1 essence, Laser. Penetrates all physical barrier. Use accuracy. Low damage.

3 essence, Light weapon. Extra damage. Breaks on contact causing stagger (can't attack for 1 action)

5 essence, Flash bang. Stagger and Blind the target (+4 rolled value when attacking, parrying or dodging). Also disorient everyone nearby apart from the user.

7 essence, doppelgänger. Resembles and can move like the user, but cast flash bang on death or on command. Have 30 Str and 16 Agi.

 

Radiance:

Radiates light, providing visibility in dark place.

Flashes when destroyed, causing stagger in melee range.

Cruse opened his eye and saw a dark room. On the left, there's a strange machine. On the right, there's a pile of rubble, a pool of blood and a man sitting besides the pool. He seems to be in pain, both physically and mentally.

 

"Who's that?"

 

"Aigis, the engineer of this town."

 

Cruse knew something about engineering, but he wasn't keen enough to study it in depth. He walked toward the pool of blood and saw pieces of human bodies lying in it.

 

"And who might this be?"

 

"Another victim."

 

The blonde-haired man stood up, teeth gritted and fist clenched. He paused for a while, and yelled out louder than a werepire's screech.

 

"OF MY OWN MISTAKE!!!"

 

Aigis collapsed and pounded on the floor with his shockwave powered fist. The floor quaked with fury and sorrow. The boy with blue hair staggered a few steps and said;

 

"What's wrong?"

 

"Be quiet."

 

Vixen stepped infront of the boy, knowing that he lacked the empathy needed to actually understands the pain Aigis is suffering, told him to keep quiet.

 

"What's done is done Aigis."

 

"I knew I'd make the same mistake again!"

 

"And have you tried anything to stop yourself from doing so?"

 

"I didn't do a fucking thing."

 

The engineer pulled out his revolver, point it at his temple and cocked the hammer. Vixen was fast enough to stop the man from pulling the trigger.

 

"A fucking moron like me shouldn't be alive!"

 

"You won't be saving anything by killing yourself!"

 

"And I won't be killing anymore by doing so!"

 

"You didn't kill anyone!"

 

The alchemist let go of Aigis's revolver after she turned it slightly to the right. The trigger was pulled and a bullet grazed Aigis's forehead. The man spun to the ground and didn't move. He didn't die, but he wish he did.

 

"Did you see Adam coming back to life?"

 

Vixen grabbed the man's hair and pulled it up so he would see the pool of blood.

 

"You shot yourself, did it fixed anything?"

 

"It would fix my future mistake."

 

Vixen pulled the man's hair up further until he came face to face with her. Staring into his eye, she said;

 

"Killing yourself would make everything a mistake."

 

Vixen let go of Aigis. The man fell back down and stared at the ceiling of the generator room. He hadn't forgive himself, but he realized who he should be killing instead of himself.

 

"Who's behind all this?"

 

Aigis got up, and walked towards the generator. He walked straight through the pool of blood, leaving a trailing of red footsteps behind him.

 

"I'll tell you after you fixed the generator."

 

Vixen said as she followed the engineer. The engineer inspected the generator for a moment, before saying;

 

"Where's the plume?"

 

"How should I know? You were the one who saw what happened."

 

"The cloud went into it, and a topless man appeared. Where's that motherfucker anyway?"

 

"I killed him."

 

"You what?", Vixen looked at the boy in disbelief.

 

"Stabbed him with the Kriss of Dawn, his shadow crushed himself out of this dimension."

 

The boy tilted his head and paused before continuing,

 

"Anything in his possession would be gone also."

 

"I can't fix a gun without a trigger."

 

The room went quiet for a few second, before Vixen broke the silence.

 

"I have an idea, Cruse, bring me to my house, still remember it?"

 

"Alright"

 

The two disappeared with a flash of light.

 

"Who the hell is he?"

 

"My brother."

 

"You have a brother?"

 

"Yes!"

 

"I hope he could fight as good as you."

 

"He's more of a tactician than a knight."

 

"Brain's as good as brawn."

 

Cruse reappeared with Vixen. A strange ball of light floats inside a spherical flask in vixen's hand.

 

"I made this earlier, will this do?"

 

"If it doesn't work, I'll make work."

 

Aigis took the white plume and began a series of complex work that only he could achieve. His hand moved in symphony with his omni-glove that sprouted all sort of tools. The generator was fixed in just a few minutes.

 

The engineer broke the flask containing the plume and placed the plume in the center of the generator. He pressed a clichéd big red button and the generator was brought back to life. The light in the generator room re-litted. All the light in the town turned as if there's a wave of light emanating from the middle of the town.

 

"If shit's broken, I can fix it."

Almost there, uhhh, I think. The man meant to say out loud, but after three-or-so kilometres of sprinting proved difficult. The pony stopped, and pointed, ''Vixen!''

 

''W-ha– wh-what?'' He panted. The man had noticed a flash in the corner of his eye but was too tried to take proper consideration of it. He squinted into waht he assumed was Vixen's house (from spacial awareness and what Joal was telling him.)

 

''I seen Vixen in that house with a child! After a flash of light!''

''A- a child? What ar– are you on about?''

''I sw–'' Another flash of light interrupted the pony. Sure enough, G also seen Vixen with a child, as Pruria had said. But unexpected of both of them, they two then disappeared.

 

''Lovely, Vixens been taken capture by some daemon child!'' Called the pegasus.

''No... what... don't be too hasty here. We can't assume he's evil. Look at the bring light!''

''Well Lucifer used bright light to trick his enemies to thinking he was an angel.''

 

The man thought for a second, ''Okay, that's a fair point, I think we should keep our eye on him though, not go straight for the kill...'' The pony turned around to the man and peered at him.

''You trust him, I'll keep my distance, thank you very much.''

G could only nod, and gesture to keep running, which they did. But as soon as they started, the poles with glass hemi-spheres in them began bursting with light, to which G promptly questioned with a gaze and half-blinded himself.

 

The pony jumped up into the air and happiness, ''They got the generator working! Comm'on lets go find them, maybe I was just hallucinating. Did we really see anything with Vixen?''

''Oh I don't know, just glad I don't have to go back up on that wall...''

[cruse]

"I fixed the damned thing, now tell me who's responsible for all this."

 

"Three people, Vixen, Chloe and a guy called Shuji Hikari"

 

Aigis got to the point right after he fixed the generator. But what Cruse said was quite unexpected.

 

"Chloe and Vix? You fucking kidding me?"

 

"They attacked this town because, one, Chloe's here, two, an artifact stolen by Vixen is here, three, Shuji wanted Chloe killed and the artifact back."

 

"You did helped me stole the crystal Cruse."

 

"OK, four people were responsible then."

 

"Alright, I have no fucking ideas about what you are talking about."

 

Cruse looked at Vixen for a moment with one of his brow lifted, and Vixen nodded.

 

"Alright, you deserved to know anyway. Basically, 2 years ago me and my little sister betrayed those shadow warrior. We also stole their beloved 'Dawn of Dusk Crystal' as a souvenirs."

 

"That doesn't explain a fucking thing, you guys were one of those shadow bastard? And what is this crystal you were talking about?"

 

"Let's continue this at Vixen's home", Cruse said as he rolled his eye. "Shall we walk? or Shall I teleport you all there?"

 

"We might bump into G and Joal on the way so let's walk!"

 

"I take it that they are another of your allies."

 

"Yes! a man and a pegasus!"

 

The boy with blue hair nodded and walked towards the door. He opened the door, and saw a white miniature pegasus and another man in white about a few yards away from the water mill generator.

 

"Yeah, we bumped into them alright."

((I am going to admit it right now: Cruse, this story you are trying to weave together is utterly confounding. I'm going to trust you to put it in perspective eventually, but as of this momment, I'm at a loss.

 

Anyway, my apologies for my lack of posting recently. We haven't really had anything to add here. However, Miah has made another tweak to her form.

 

"Don't act like you don't like it."

 

Also, she's now communicating with me quite clearly.

 

"When you decide to pull yourself away from your thoughts and actually listen to me."

 

 

I try... Anyway, she tweaked it for herself, and I, admittedly, am not complaining. I'll be posting later tonight. Expect this one to be a bit lengthy, but we'll be keeping out of your hair for now. We'll try to keep it interesting.

 

Spoiler alert: The change will cause some minor stat changes.))

Oh, yeah, I'm going to try and introduce my new tulpa—Hieldy—sometime in the future (maybe not until we get out of Albion, though,) but that's only if I can get a good response from her.))
