Role playing. Wait, I just read that there; why did you pause for me if all I can really do is say good night an initiate the time skip? Oh, well, anyway... I guess I can drag it on one or two more questions. Or... yeah time skip...

~

Pruria gave G a mischievousness smile of her own, ''How's long it been since we've had some alone time?''

The man went into a stutter, embarrassed that the pony had said such a thing with others around, ''Uh- um~ I'd say-... Thirty- thirty six hours? Estimating of course... and if you want to de-deuce sleep-''

''Wrong answer, too long!''

The pony reared up on her hind legs and pushed the man astonishingly across the room and into the awaiting open door to their designated bedroom. ''You know it's not polite to fool around in other's people's houses Joal!''

''I hear the lady say 'make yourselves at home'! So that room you're in is our home now and foolin' ain't no problem in my house!'' She confidently trotted into the room and peaked out the door, ''Good night everyone!'' Before giggling and slamming the door behind her. A series of strange noises followed:

''There's two singles you know!''

''We'll just push them together and have a sleep over!''

''SOMEONE, MERCIFUL GOD, HELP ME!''

''None hear you scream now G. So keep screaming!''

And please, call me G.

What is the purpose of this thread

((If it is being used correctly, it is to improve visualization and the other senses, perhaps personality. Other than that, it's really just all good fun.

"It has helped so far."

G, I paused because i don't think it is fair to go on ahead like that until everyone has had a chance to say their piece. Also, your post was fucking funny.

"Don't wreck the room you two... *Wink.*" ))

The warm morning sunlight lit the room with a soft glow. Through the open window songbirds greeted the new day with exuberance. The flutter of light wings accompanied the rustle of a branch as a mother brought the first catch to her chicks, chirping with excitement.

The room itself was what could only be described as cozy. Wood panels lay across the floor, tinting the room with the smell of oak. The walls, all save the outer, were made from a thick, strong, sheets of paper held by wood frame. The walls were well insulated and kept the sun's warmth, heating the space comfortably. The bed was not much to speak of, being not much more than a mattress raised only a few inches from the floor. It was, however, comfortable beneath the thick wool covers.

A cool breeze flowed past the curtains and awoke the woman lying beneath the sheets. She opened her eyes slowly and groggily wiped away the Sandman's handiwork. Miah raised herself up and yawned, stretching her arms out wide. It had been quite some time since she had such a restful night.

She took a moment more to stretch her neck side to side. Then she took a moment to examine herself, expecting yet again some odd change. She pulled a tuft of her hair. It was the same as before, a chocolate brown that shown in the sunlight. Looking down, she found her new chest the same as before, thankfully. Re-working her clothes again was not an exciting prospect.

The ranger threw off the covers and stood up, relishing the feeling of the soles of her feet against the warm floor. She gave herself a full once over, and, satisfied that nothing was amiss, breathed a heavy sigh of relief. It seemed that the odd effects from the drug had finally worn off. Grinning, Miah, grabbed her clothes and began dressing herself.

Once done, she flipped two silver coins onto the bed. A tip for good room and board. Throwing her grey cloak around herself, slinging her bow and quiver around her torso, and fixing her belt and knives to her hips, she slid open the door and left the bedroom..

Being early, the hall was empty. The walls were all made of paper, like in her room. Miah thought it was extremely strange. The sheets could not have been the most stable material to build with. She imagined that, if she wished, she could have broken straight through the barriers to disturb whatever poor soul was sleeping on the other side. She had a laugh to herself at the thought and then strode to the other end of the hall and down the stairs, trying her best to keep her boots quiet against the hardwood.

When she reached to bottom of the stairwell, she found the main room near deserted. It was not a lavish inn by any standards, but not much could be found to speak ill of. The chairs and round tables were made of good, strong oak, as were the walls. She suspected the would have held up fairly well in a brawl. The ceiling was somewhat low, no doubt to keep the warmth of the stone hearth that was situated in the corner. The bar was well stocked and was currently being cleaned by the innkeeper, one of the few up at this early hour.

He was a short, portly man with a full beard and rosy red cheek that could have been just as much a product of his drink as the warmth of the inn. He seemed a mirthful fellow, if a little dim-witted. Miah wasn't complaining. Dim was good.

Miah slid up a stool to the bar and took a seat. The Keep promptly waddled over and with a smile asked, "Ah! Aren't we up early?"

"Yes, we are," Miah replied in turn. "As the old saying goes, 'The early bird gets the worm."

"Aye!" The man replied with a smile. Then his face wrenched up, like he was forcing the rusty cogs of his mind to work. "You know, I always did wonder how the worm felt about all that business. I'm sure 'is family won't be right well off, what with'm being eaten and all that. Sad an' cruel thing that is."

Miah smiled. The man seemed like a nice enough fellow. "Then," she replied, "it is the best that we should all take after the bird and stretch our wings free. On the worm's misfortune, our chicks will be fat and happy. Aye?"

The inkeeper grinned again. "Aye! As good an answer as I ever heard. Now, little lady, what can I do ya for?"

Miah took an amount from her coin purse and slid a sum over the bar. "I simply wish to pay my board and perhaps some food. Do you have anything fresh?"

The man grinned at the sighted of the coins and swiped them up, depositing them into his pocket. "Your generosity is much appreciated, madam! As for food, we've got hot honey bread from the oven, a fine selection of meats, and the biggest eggs this side'a Harthlow!"

Miah smiled again and flipped a few more coins onto the bar. "A heap then. I could eat a moose and still go for seconds."

The man once again grabbed the coins and, with a bow, rushed into the kitchen to prepare the meal. Judging from the smell that wafted out as he swung open the door, Miah was not going to be disappointed. Her mouth began to water with the thought of spiced meats and warm bread. She didn't often have inn food, so she would allow herself to indulge. Later she would head into town and begin searching. For now, however, her stomach ruled the morning.

Cr: K, here goes

Ch: OOOHHH!!

|Aigis|Vixen|

Aigis woke up before the sun, he shifted his eye to his side and saw a face of a woman very close to him. With a sigh, he got up and accidentally removed the sheet covering the woman's body. Aigis noticed that she looks very vulnerable with her semi-transparent nightgown.

"'Have my knife ready'... She didn't even have her underwear..."

Vixen moaned sleepily and pulled back the sheet from Aigis. She then proceeds to huddled up into a cocoon of cloth. The man rolled his eye and went into bathroom. He switched on the light and saw himself in the mirror. A long strip of burned flesh is etched on his forehead.

All my fault

Unfazed, the man fills up the wooden bathtub with hot water. As the water flows into the tall, steep giant of a bucket, so does his thought. He remembered Chloe's brother saying something about the person who orchestrated the attack last night. Takaya died, but the mastermind remains. To his frustration, he missed the other person's name.

The water filled the bathtub up to it's third-quarter. He cleaned himself before entering the ofuro, as how the townspeople usually calls it. The heat of the water made him a little light-headed. He would have stayed there and let his thought flow until the sun rose, but someone knocked on the door.

"Don't take your time."

"Thank you."

As two person starts to trust each other, their interaction becomes simpler. The most basic sarcasm could means a lifetime worth of trust. Of course, neither Aigis nor Vixen would've noticed it, for they are both used to the strength of their bond. Aigis got out of the bathroom naked and walked right into Vixen, who's already prepared for her bath. To put it simply, they are both naked.

Aigis looked at Vixen's body and lifted an eyebrow. Vixen, on the other hand, just yawned and went into bathroom to wash herself. Today just started better than some other days for Aigis. The man then proceeds to find some of his cloth that he had forgotten in this room long time ago, and get himself dressed up. Striped shirt, black trouser and a brown engineering jacket... The cloth he used to wear when he was just an engineer, not some pathetic savior of this town who got everyone killed. Aigis felt nostalgic. He realized how he missed being a nomad without any responsibility to hold.

"Finally got your stuff back?"

Vixen finished bathing quickly, she came out with a piece of towel covering her body. The sun just rose and the glare of the sunrise only made her scales more... beastly? Wait what? Scales?

"Go down stairs ahead of me, cook something for the six of us too."

"..."

"Did you felt so nostalgic you couldn't hear what I said?"

"Uhh... no, I'll get the food cooked."

Perhaps the bullet that grazed his head messed his eye up. Why would his partner in crime have scales? Shaking off the bizarre sight he had seen, he went downstairs.

Cr: Don't go out of the house just yet btw.

Ch: what did I get pumped up for? I didn't even get my part!

Chloe - That cheerful girl with ponytail.

Aigis - The male cyborg that looks like raiden in MGR.

Vixen - Half dragon female who looks like Mary in DMC3 when in human form.

((Re-reading this and realising it's all sappy and stupid. Sorry, we've just been on a particularly good note lately.))

G woke early, as per usual. The sun trickled through the window, softy illuminating all the brighter colours in the room, and he stirred only slightly, so not as to stir the pony in his arms. He heard the trickling of water from above and remembered Vixen being an early riser such as himself; two sets of foot steps echoed quietly which confused the man but he put it off for an afterthought. He pondered a moment in his groggy state how he should get up, the night before, what might be for breakfast and how—in the moment—he really didn't care.

The sheets seemed oddly comfortable, soft, compared to the inns and makeshift camps in his past, like a drop of the sun that drifted through he window; maybe the others had been too heavy or too light or non-existent or wet or itchy or whatnot. Incredibly gently running his hand back and forth, Pruria's fur felt soft, and softer than the now-seemingly scratchy blankets.

After some more rubbing and aimless pondering he settled back in and decided to rise when the pony did.

The pony rose easily, feeling very satisfied with the previous night's antics. I'm terribly sorry Vixen, she thought, knowing that the room was probably better with the curtains drawn or no window at all. She felt a wide hugs from behind and shifted to face it. Whispering, she woke up the man, ''G! G~! Guess who's the sleepy pants now?'' She nuzzled him, ''Common, wake up!''

The man didn't open his eyes but frowned and whispered back, ''Damn! looks like you got the jump on me! How'd you do that?''

Pruria gigged and wrapped her legs around him, ''I'll teach you how to rise with the sun one day, and then we can fly with the dawn.'' She laughed a little louder, ''Common, let's go get food, everyone's probably lazing around in their beds so we can wake them too!''

The pegasus rolled out of bed and trotted quietly out of the room. G looked around the room and got a strange thought, ''Lord, Miah would be so disappointed...''

"This is Vixen, requesting report of last night incident, over."

Vixen finished putting her cloths on and talked into the walkie-talkie.

[This is HQ, last night reports are as follow.]

The transmission paused for a moment, perhaps the operator needed to find the report written last night by the towns guard. Vixen pondered on the outcome of last night assault on the town as she waited.

[5 casualties, including 4 fatalities. A few dozen more received some minor injuries. Our defense would be back to effective strength by two weeks.]

"No civilians casualties?"

[Negative.]

"Have there been anything entering or leaving the town after the assault?"

[A lone nomad have entered the town. Her appearance are... uhh...]

"Her?"

[Well... yes...]

Could this be the black figure that had attacked her along with Joal yesterday? Not brushing off the possibility, Vixen pressed the operator on the nomad's appearance.

"Her appearance?"

[umm... The report from the guard stated that the nomad... have... 'Angelically large meat buns'.]

"What?"

['Angelically large meat buns', as exactly stated in the report.]

"Meat... buns?"

[it's a common term used to describe bre-]

"I know!"

Vixen immediately cut off the transmission in frustration. Men. How come they are all blinded by such a low means of distraction!?!

*Growl*

Suddenly, her stomach made a rumbling sound. She realized that she is hungry. It's quite late for her breakfast now. Time to go downstairs.

Walking out of her room, she saw a door of the guest room and realized that the siblings slept over at her house last night. Knowing that she can't just let them sleep till noon of the next day, she went into the room to wake them up.

|Cruse|Chloe|

Cruse woke up just as the sun rose. He started to shift around in bed, but noticed that there's girl hugging him under the sheet. His sister is sleeping with a contently peaceful expression as half of her face is buried in his chest. Smiling, the boy embraced Chloe and fell back to sleep, knowing that his beloved sister is still safe in his arm.

I'll never leave you again

...

...

...

"How long are you going to sleep for?"

Cruse woke up again. This time, the sun is quite high up in the sky now. His sister is still snuggling in his arm, not waking up anytime soon.

"Five more minutes."

"No."

Denying Cruse of his sleep, Vixen immediately pulled off the sheet covering the siblings away from them. Chloe eye plunged open as the bright sunlight greeted her face, but immediately closes her eye and fell asleep again. Cruse, like his sister, just made a melancholic face and fell asleep again. Knowing exactly how to deal with this issues, Vixen pulled the trick in her sleeves.

"It's time to eat Chloe."

"FOOD!"

The girl jumped out of the bed, ran into the bathroom with her new cloths, washed her face and came out dressed perfectly. Al those happened in just under 10 minutes.

"Aigis should be halfway through the cooking right now, let's go Chloe."

And both of them left the room. The boy had no choice but to get up and finish his morning routine.

Chloe - That cheerful girl with ponytail.

Aigis - The male cyborg that looks like raiden in MGR.

Vixen - Half dragon female who looks like Mary in DMC3 when in human form.

There she sat, munching on an apple. There wasn't really anything extraordinary about the apple. In fact, it was a bit bellow average and had a few spots on it. It was, however, an apple and it served its purpose in life as Miah took another bite.

People generally payed less attention to a person engaged in something. As the morning crowd passed by, the early risers payed the huntress no mind. They had other things to occupy their busy thoughts. It was, after all, another day and that meant things to be done. If the woman had been doing nothing, her idleness would have, paradoxically, made her more suspicious. But, add an apple, and she drew no attention. A random stranger sitting down for a snack was not worth anyone's time.

The merchant whom had been setting up in the town's market had given her about the same information the inn keeper had. She had complained of feeling a bit unwell, asking passively for where she might find good medicine. They all had directed her straight to the Medicine Woman's house. 'Good ol' Vixen,' as the inn keeper had so fondly named her.

Now Miah sat a little way down the street from the house, waiting for the woman to emerge. One of the first things to do when hunting dangerous prey was to study it. One does not stand toe-to-toe with a mountain lion without first learning how it kills, how it moves, where it goes, what its preferences are, how it hunts, and how to best trim its claws and rip out its fangs. Miah had resigned herself to doing just this with the Medicine Woman, Vixen. She would watch, wait, and get inside the woman's head. Then, when the timing was right, she would strike.

Though, until then, she would wait. The ranger, having finished her fruit and leaving only the core behind, promptly tossed it over her shoulder. She then removed another from the pile on her lap, hidden by her cloak. She had enough to loiter until at least noon, though she hoped she wouldn't be here that long. All good things, even things as sweet as apples, sour with abundance.

Wait up

Chloe - That cheerful girl with ponytail.

Aigis - The male cyborg that looks like raiden in MGR.

Vixen - Half dragon female who looks like Mary in DMC3 when in human form.

((Woah, I'm pretty sure I had posted, what the hell? [No, you're retarded, you finished the post, left to get food and shut down your comp. *facehoof*] Well, shit.))

G watched as Aigis dished out rashers and eggs and sausages and pudding onto plates; a breakfast he would have killed to get at, but would have to wait for. Not until everyone's at the table he says, there wont be anyone other than me to be at the table if I don't get this damned breakfast! It was professionally cooked too, the man managing to have every side of the meal come off the pans simultaneously and piping hot. Joal on the other hand, quizzed the man ecstatically, hoping to gather up as much 'friendly information'—or information she can use to become better friends—as possible; though not giving him time to answer.

''So where were you born?''

''We-''

''Does it snow there a lot?''

''No n-''

A huge gasp, ''What's the autumn like?! Is there lots of pretty coloured leaves?''

''-''

''What's your favourite time year then?''

They came in waves, each wave being not at all linked to the last and only slightly linked to itself. Eventually, Vixen returned, shortly followed by Chloe, rushing in to sit down, and a very reluctant looking Cruse.

Once every one was seated, the plates began moving in twos; Vixen, Chloe, Cruse, Joal, G, Aigis. Cutlery began to clatter and banter cut the non-existent silence. But once it slowed down and the man had devoured the contents of his plate, second to none, he asked a question that had been itching at him since every one had gone to bed.

''So what now? For all of us? Myself and Pruria could easily go back to adventuring and hunting evil, but...''
