''So what now? For all of us? Myself and Pruria could easily go back to adventuring and hunting evil, but...''

"Me and my sister will have to go on an aimless adventure. I said that last night no?"

Cruse stuffed the last of the bacon into his mouth as he said it. He clearly remembered how he told his sister that at least both of them would have to roam across the land so that the cult won't find them. Guess someone was half asleep as he said it.

"Since the damn cult know where we are now, we can't stay here, nor the jewel that we had stolen from them. Therefore, after this breakfast, we will have to leave this place and take the Dawn of Dusk jewel along with us."

Cruse then drank the last of the milk in the glass that was half empty. He wiped the milk droplets of his lips and asked everyone;

"So, who'd like to join?"

Chloe - That cheerful girl with ponytail.

Aigis - The male cyborg that looks like raiden in MGR.

Vixen - Half dragon female who looks like Mary in DMC3 when in human form.

The man shifted uneasily in his seat and looked over at the pony who had stopped mid-way through a rasher. She bit down on the end and swallowed what was in her mouth whole, ''Ow.'' She put down her knife and fork and crossed her arms on the table, ''Well I'd like to go, I think. I'm not sure though... wouldn't it be dangerous? I guess... that's the point... I'll go with you.'' She stoop up and saluted the siblings, and then looked at G with a devilish smile.

''... Aw fuck.'' He looked at the rest of the table, I meant it more as what we all going to do before we split off...

Pruria nodded at him multiple times, and he sighed, ''Ah, why not? I need a change of schedule anyway.''

"We won't be going though."

Vixen knows that she can't just leave this town. Without her regenerative medicine, the towns guard will be inevitably wiped out from the monster attack.

"Aaand... someone needs to fix the generator."

Aigis also decided not to go with the siblings.

"If I leave this place, no one would be able to fix the generator if it kick the damn bucket again. So cheers."

The engineer picked up his plate and turned away towards the sink to wash his dish as he said so. Vixen also picked up all of the plates on the table, save for those that have yet been rid of the cuisine, and helped Aigis wash the dish.

After everything was cleaned up. Vixen told everyone to stay put and went into her alchemy hut. A moment passed before the alchemist came back with 4 vials of red liquids and a small red box. She handed the red box to Cruse.

"The jewel is inside this mini dragon box. I hope you know what you're doing."

The alchemist face showed an expression of worry. Clearly, she was worried that the boy may leads everyone to their death.

"I know what I'm doing, I just don't know where i'm going."

Vixen sighed as a response to Cruse's unserious attitude. This is the only way the jewel could be kept away from the wrong hands. And she is trusting it to a 16 years old. Turning towards G, she gave him the vials containing the strange liquids.

"G, I'll trust you with this. It's the metabolizer which can heal any wounds. Only use it in emergency."

The alchemist smiled as she handed the pouch of vial to G. A smile showing faith and trust in the medic. Cruse, knowing that it's best to leave the village as soon as possible, bid farewell to Vixen and ask the party;

"Shall we?"

The 4 metabolizer can be used to heal any physical injuries. Poison will not be cured. Also note that it will make the user hungry.

The jewel is sealed in the box, it's just a useless key item for now.

Vixen handed G a pouch and told him what it contained, he looked at her stary-eyed ''You're giving me some of your kick ass medicines?'' He opened the pouch and swirled the vials around, watching their glistening red liquids swirl like blood.

''We shall, but to where?... Mayhap we cross the river and run in the opposite direction of the beasts?'' Pondered the pony, intelligently.

''And do I get a kick ass gun too?!'' Blurted out the man. ''Wait... AWW shit! I never bought my bloody new dagger!'' He looked around the room, only Joal face hoofed,

''God, and the ambiance is just dead... Well, Vixen, Aigis, it was a pleasure to meet you both and I hope to meet again, one day.''

She stuck out one hoof and waited for Vixen to shake it, and when she did, the pony grabbed her hand and pulled her in for a hug. Aigis, not seeing the attack, received the same fate.

G put the vials into his satchel and then opted for the more respectable shake and thanked the two for their help, having them and for no reason in particular other than to say it.

Once all had been said and done, the pony and man just waited for Cruse of Chloe to initiate the final farewell, not before leaning into Vixen once more and whispering, ''Do you have drawing on how to make one at least?''

((Hmmm. Well, that took a turn I wasn't expecting. I suppose Miah will stay inside the village, since Vixen is staying. I have to say Cruse, I wasn't expecting you to leave Vixen and Aigis there. Interesting move. Will they ever move out of the town, of were they just side characters? I hope not. They certainly seem compelling enough.

"Yeah, and without my bad-ass to protect you four, you're going to have a hard time of it."

No, you're not vain at all Miah.

"I'm not lying though."

I suppose it may be interesting to split into two separate story lines: one with Miah, Aigis, and Vixen, who seem to be the more experienced and dangerous characters, and the other with G, Joal, Chloe, and Cruse, who are relatively young and fresh, though not without potential to grow. Perhaps at some other time the winds of Fate and Fortune will blow us together again. I actually had a bit of a plan as to how to proceed next, but this turn may turn out for the best.

"I better not have gotten this new outfit for nothing."

Oh, hush. You'll be able to use it sometime.))

"You won't get one G."

Aigis, who happens to heard the soft whisper of the medic said to him harshly. Despite that, his intention meant no harm.

"Technology is what drives us closer to oblivion. Unless it's necessary, don't use it."

The only reason Aigis ever agreed to develop a mass produced rifle for the guard in the first place was because of the unrelenting assault of the monster from the wood. Had it been a peaceful town, the engineer would never reveal any of his invention and just simply left.

"You can have this though."

Aigis pulled out a knife from his jacket. The knife is very elaborately designed. The sheath is made from a very light and tough material painted with a yellow stripe forming a lightning bolt-like pattern. The grip is also made from the same material. Aigis unsheathed the knife, revealing a dark black metallic blade with a saw-tooth spine and a single yellow stripe near the sharp edge of the knife. He spun the knife in his palm so that he is holding it in an ice pick-grip position and pressed a small button at the end of the grip. The knife crackled with a small lighting arcing around the blade for a split second. Aigis sheathed the knife and held it towards G.

"The yellow stripe will disappear on contact with most type of poison. She is the most trusted companion before I came to this town. Take it."

The man statement demanded agreement. He won't take no for an answer.

|Vixen|Aigis|

After the party left. Aigis equipped his headphones and ask Vixen;

"I'm going to check up on the generator. You wanna come?"

"No, I need to buy supplies for my alchemy experiment."

"See you then."

|Vixen|

Aigis walked out of the house with a posture of someone with determination, leaving Vixen alone. Vixen, before leaving her house, decided to check up on the radio HQ again, just in case anything happened.

"HQ, this is Drake, requesting report."

[This is HQ, we found two guardsmen who were reported missing.]

"What happened?"

[A riflemen were found unconscious while another knight were found hanging upside-down. The guardsmen described the attacker as a female with white hair, apparently not possessed. The knight also mentioned that the attacker left a message to you, professor Drake.]

"What is it?"

[The message is... uh... "I'm watching".]

"Oh no..."

[sir?]

Vixen terminated the transmission. She don't even have to guess who were the attacker was. She wished that she could have just apologized to the vengeful huntress, but now she is being hunted.

"Now what..."

The alchemist picked up the revolver, checked the barrel and reloaded it, and then leave out through the front door. She headed straight towards the market in the centre of the town to the north of the generator with a calm posture.

Expect a real surprise when attacking Vixen Miah. You won't see this coming.

And please, call me G.

((So, I wonder if anyone else is going to ever join us. It would be interesting to have a few more people.

"I'm having fun. A few more people could be fun."))

The pile of apples had grown to a rather impressive size. If the backstreet was not shadowed by the adjacent buildings, someone may have noticed the fruits long ago. As for Miah, if she had to take another bite she was sure she would be sick. Disgusted, she abandoned the her ruse and decided on a more mobile method of concealment. Rising from the bench, she pulled her hood over her head and began to stalk among the crowd, which had swollen to a impressive size in the time she had been waiting.

The huntress likened large crowds to an unpredictable but weak river. It was always easier to go along with the current, but if one was pressed to swim against it, the effort was not difficult. If someone could learn to judge the crowd and predict its movements and clutter points, it was as good as an invisibility cloak. However, Miah had always had ambiguous feelings towards the masses. They were helpful and aided in concealment, this was without doubt. Still, large crowds disgusted the hunter somewhere deep down, even while they provided comfort.

In crowds, men lose their individuality. They are no longer humans, but a small part of giant beast with a heart and mind of its own. They commit acts they would have sickened them if they had their senses, but in numbers men find a mask, and behind a mask is the only time one shows his true face. Perhaps that is why the Ranger preferred to stay above the mobs. Some things, some shadows, are meant to be suppressed. Yet, inside the beast of the crowd, shadows thrive. To retain who you are becomes a struggle, and you do the best you can, even as the beast throws you about, judging with its uncountable eyes, screaming with a thousand voices.

A door opening. The woman was stirred from her contemplation and brought back to the world. From the Medicine Woman's house emerged familiar faces. Chloe, the man named G, and Joal, walked out onto the street, seeming healthy and well rested. Miah arched an eyebrow as she looked over her shoulder. This was unexpected. She had been fairly certain her fellows had been captured, yet here they stand seeming fresh and happy. She had been wrong. From behind them emerged a young man she did not know. They all appeared to know each other.

Curiouser and curiouser the Hunter thought. Why were they staying in this Vixen's house? It appeared she had actually given them hospitality. Who was this other person? And just where were they going? They began to walk from the house in the direction of the town's gates. Could they possibly be leaving town?

Miah had a fleeting thought of giving chase, but they her attention was drawn again to the door. A man stood in the door way. He was wearing some strange head ornament. He was tall and cut a strong figure, like that of a soldier. How many people did this woman give shelter to? Miah chuckled inwardly at the though of this Medicine Woman running a bed and breakfast. Then again, perhaps this was simple a patient who had stayed the night. Nonetheless, he was not who the Huntress was looking for.

Continuing to stalk the crowd, Miah waited a little longer outside the house. She was not becoming impatient, waiting was a skill that she had learned over the years. She was, however, beginning to feel puzzled. Did the woman ever leave her home? She must have. They had met each other on the town walls after all. So, where was she.

Then, as an answer, the woman emerged. Miah's heart instinctively began to race. Her sharp, blue eyes bared down onto the figure. Suddenly she was full of energy, focused, locked in on her target. This was the prey she had tracked. The woman was so close now that Miah could have trapped her now. But, she had to wait, she had to be patient.

As the woman started down the road, presumably towards the market, Miah followed, being sure to keep close to the alleys so she could duck inside whenever she felt too much attention was being put upon her. As she followed, Miah began to think thigs through. She couldn't attack the woman in public, lest the guards would be on them in seconds. The Ranger had no intentions of severely harming the woman, just proving who was best. It had to be one on one, and that was the hard part. Finding a secluded place in a town like this was near impossible. The best course would have been to lure the Medicine Woman out into the woods, though Miah doubted the woman was stupid enough to fall for that. The woman's own house was an option. It wouldn't be that hard to break into and her prey would certainly not suspect that. Also, some good traps could be made in the woman's absence. Still, the Huntress would have preferred more room.

She settled that the house would be a last option. For now, Miah was content to follow the woman for the day. If an opportunity presented itself, Miah would not let it go to waste, but it was better to watch and wait. So she stalked the woman, like a predator anticipating the fight to come. It would be quick, decisive, and before the woman knew it, she would be defeated. A grin spread across the Hunter's lips as she cherished the thought beneath her hood.

The engineer stood in front of the watermill generator. Looking at his own invention, he wondered if the plan he had in his mind was a good idea or not. Walking inside, the room is already cleaned up. Guards who were assigned to guard the generator today saluted Aigis, and went back to their business. Aigis merely saluted back, but in his current train thought, they were absent.

Aigis went into the generator core room. The machine he had fixed yesterday is still running properly. Checking up on various components, cable, and parts, he was surprised that the machine had no need to be maintained at all.

In fact, the generator seemed to be working even better than before.

What would be the reason for this? Everything was left the same... Except for the core! This plume of dusk is white in color. But why does it makes a difference? Brushing off the curiosity, Aigis is just glad that now there's one less obstacle for him.

Returning to the first room, Aigis told all the guards to leave. The guards were confused for a moment, but left anyway knowing that this engineer knows what he's doing. Taking out a strange device from his jacket, he returned to the core room with a determined eyes.

((So, Cruse, do you want me to post, or are you going to let Vixen do something? I thought you would have had some more from her perspective in the above post, so I'm a little confused as to how I should proceed.))
