Avalanche January 9, 2013 January 9, 2013 Well then you are super gifted. For everyone I know, it's harder to do. Maybe add on having to read a paragraph or something while doing it? I'm merely throwing out suggestions. frt
Sands January 9, 2013 January 9, 2013 Oh. I didn't know it was hard. The THE SUBCONCIOUS ochinchin occultists frt.sys (except Roswell because he doesn't want to be a part of it)

Guest EnnervateIndustries January 9, 2013 January 9, 2013 The problem I would find with finding a physical action to do to determine whether or not possession is working is that basically every test of "non-conflicting messages" can be duped by someone who can do the action already for whatever reason.
Avalanche January 9, 2013 January 9, 2013 You could find a test that is impossible to do with one mind concentrating on both tasks, but then is it even proven that possession is like two separate minds? What I mean is, does possession have any "run off" from one mind into the other, corrupting it's ability to perform it's own task? For instance, if we tried the pat the head and rub your belly test, and let's say it was impossible. If you were possessed and failed the test, does this prove that possession doesn't affect your ability to do two different tasks, or does it prove that possession isn't real? If you passed it, obviously it would prove that the test is only possible by "splitting your mind" and dividing up the attention to both tasks. frt
Guest EnnervateIndustries January 9, 2013 January 9, 2013 That's the problem I found, that it's possible to just teach yourself to do any "split" action, no matter how complex.
TulpaCouple January 9, 2013 January 9, 2013 Either way it could be useful for people who personally cannot perform the action. If one has never been able to do the head pat/belly rub thing but was able to when a tulpa took over, then it's useful for them.
Guest EnnervateIndustries January 10, 2013 January 10, 2013 That's basically what I was aiming for, yeah. I'll edit the main post.
Xantan January 12, 2013 January 12, 2013 Try doing the suggested exercise, but at different speeds. Different actions at different speeds is much trickier because you cannot rely on a rhythm to keep you in check. "The way is in training." - Miyamoto Musashi
