Half-Possession Viability Test (Pre-Guide)

Good idea. That's partially what I was basing this exercise on. I'm a musician, so it's extremely hard for me to do actions arrhythmically, and having two entities controlling my hands is basically the only way to do so.

Resurrecting an old topic here, but I just had a thought. I know from experience that I can't read and write while also listening attentively. In other words, I can't actively engage in a conversation about Lincoln's assassination over the phone while also reading Harry Potter slashfic -- I can try, but I can't simultaneously comprehend both, and attempting to will result in "bleedover" where suddenly Snape is making out with John Wilkes Booth in my mind. Even though both activities use different parts of my body, I can't do both at once.

 

Is this true of everyone? If it is, it would make a good test of possession -- your tulpa takes your hands and eyes, and types or writes, while you maintain control over your ears and mouth, and converse.

 

You win if you can have an hour long conversation without the other person asking if you're preoccupied or tired, and your tulpa writes a thousand comprehensive words on a completely different subject.

lol, well i know i cant concentrate when splitting my attention at all ^^ Unless it's piano, in which case if i know the song well enough i can talk while im playing. On that topic, I tend to try out different tricks and stuff. I can talk while playing piano, okay, but i cant talk for long. I also can't really do anything else besides talking and listening. Sometimes I let Muse possess my hands and play, while i try doing simple math in my head or something. I can do it kind of, but it's hard and since Muse still uses most of my brain power, i end up tripping her up >.>;

 

Also, with the original thing, something harder to try would be drawing a circle with one hand and drawing a square with the other. Try that.
