Amortrope - The Tulpa JSRPG

Recommended Posts

Sweet, I'm really looking forward to this.

I'd like to help, but unfortunately I'm not very experienced at the stuff you need now, except for maybe a general opinion. But I could do some VA if you need it, and I'm quite good at singing (Soprano 2) if you're planning on an ending song or something.

Name: Philip

Age: (7 June, 2012)

Form: Male teenage human, light brown hair, green eyes, jeans & hoodie

Name: Amalia

Age: (15 Dec, 2012)

Form: Female teenage fairy, black hair, blue eyes, white dress

I think I might be able to get a wonderland demo + demo dungeon this weekend once I manage to nail down the battle mechanics and add some function to spells, which is an area you can help me in now!

There are 8 types of spells and they have 40 variants each (!!!). However, I can't decide what three of these tarots will do and I'd rather not get rid of them. Here is the current list.

Clock (Healing Spells)

Memory ( )

Doubt ( )

Hypnosis (Status Effect/Debuffs)

Meditation (Buffs)

Dissipation (Magic Skills)

Switch (Physical Skills)

Teleport ( )

Fill in the empty brackets and I'll like you a lot.

If I better understood what the tarot system is, and how exactly it is used in game, I might be able to come up with ideas for the ones you're missing.

Also, aside from maybe a few ideas, and testing and such, I can't really contribute much to this.

Unless, of course, you did need voice actors. But I'm pretty sure the best thing I have to record with is my mp3 player, so.. bleh.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

I have a voice actor friend and a semi legit microphone.

Just saying.

Great idea.

But you should make the game environment similar to skyrim, where the world are free to explore in the way you want and story is not limited to just one tulpa. Then add the feature of letting the player add their own tulpa, everyone in the forum can then play.

Chloe - That cheerful girl with ponytail.

Aigis - The male cyborg that looks like raiden in MGR.

Vixen - Half dragon female who looks like Mary in DMC3 when in human form.

Great idea.

I'm sure he'd love to do that, but it would take a lot of work. Like. A ridiculous amount, to really make a world, with a bunch of different events, and story possibilities.

There isn't much to the tarot system. You can craft equipment tarots for your tulpa (and for yourself after reaching a certain point of the story (that's kind of spoilery i guess)) as well as make new spell tarots that cannot be earned any other way. Not every card can be obtained from crafting however because then it would be too easy to get decked out(heh) with everything you want, regardless of your tulpa's arcana, which plays the class of being a class and general cool shit, and that it is a metric fuck ton of work.

Too much work. I've already said that I'm making this play similar to the Persona series so it's going to be in a single area mostly (apart from stepping on lots of different kinds of dirt). I MIGHT have two endings per character, but it's a slim chance.

exactly.
