malesplicer February 11, 2013 February 11, 2013 Hello, Iv'e been lurkin the threads for sometime and have a few questions that i couldn't find answered. 1 If you the host are physically hurt would the Tulpa feel your pain. 2 Could you play chess with your Tulpa, in the sense that the Tulpa wouldn't cheat by reading what your thinking. Also if you have who won? 3 Is it ok to be working on multiple things on your Tulpa, i have been working on different days Voice, Body, and Traits. Or should you only be working on one thing at a time until you feel satisfactory. and also a question regarding Mjolnir's current progression When she was only 3 days old i gave her a sentience test and requested that she wake me up at 1:00am and the next morning i awoke at 1:27, lurking the forums i found that Tulpas can be an hour or so off. I was wonderin if this was just blind luck, or she's sentient at 3 days old. Should i do another test or is she really sentient already this quick. <<< http://community.tulpa.info/thread-mjolnir >>> Mjolnir Gender: Female Birth/Creation: Febuary 4th 2013 Astora Gender: Female Birth/Creation: April 4th 2014 Nueva Gender: Female Birth/Creation: May 1st 2015
ThatOneGuy February 11, 2013 February 11, 2013 1. The tulpa will not feel the pain involuntarily. 2. You can play chess with your tulpa, and I have done it with mine multiple times. Our wins are split even. 3. Whatever you feel comfortable with; some people focus on specific areas first, some do generalized approaches. It's completely okay. As for the sentience test: this could more likely be attributed to setting a time for yourself to wake up through the proxy of telling your tulpa to, and then getting a wake up call right around then from your subconscious. Orange juice helps with concentration headaches.
Aarix February 11, 2013 February 11, 2013 1) they would know of the pain but not feel it 2) yes you could. I'm sure you can trust your Tulpa not to take a peek at your thoughts. I'm not sure how that works but it works. 3) of course! Variety is the spice to this. Switching it up is good and helps keep you from getting bored. As much as I hate it (because I was in the same boat) but it could've been a coincidence however don't take my word for it. It's possible she could've done it. malesplicer February 11, 2013 Author February 11, 2013 Also another question i forgot to ask, say you were alone for a long time without much entertainment and no one to talk to but your Tulpa. Would you go mentally insane from just talking to your Tulpa or would having a Tulpa to talk to save your mind? <<< http://community.tulpa.info/thread-mjolnir >>> Mjolnir Gender: Female Birth/Creation: Febuary 4th 2013 Astora Gender: Female Birth/Creation: April 4th 2014 Nueva Gender: Female Birth/Creation: May 1st 2015
Guest EnnervateIndustries February 11, 2013 February 11, 2013 1. Yes, to a degree. Like, not a paper cut, but something like a migraine to the point of passing out, yes. Learned that the hard way. 2. Yes. *cough*advertising*cough* 3. I do it all the time, works for me. And you can't really go mentally insane by talking to your tulpa. It's like talking to someone else, except that you look really weird to anyone else that comes along at the same time. I suppose it could "save" your sanity then. No plans for trying that, myself. EDIT: Define "insane."
Avalanche February 11, 2013 February 11, 2013 Also another question i forgot to ask, say you were alone for a long time without much entertainment and no one to talk to but your Tulpa. Would you go mentally insane from just talking to your Tulpa or would having a Tulpa to talk to save your mind? If you were stuck in the same situation but with another person, you would go insane to the same degree as with a tulpa. frt
malesplicer February 12, 2013 Author February 12, 2013 EDIT: Define "insane." Like you were stranded on a deserted island with provisions to last years and you were stranded there with no one to talk to but your Tulpe. Would you go mentally insane the way some one would if they are alone for so long having no one to talk to. Having a Tulpe to talk to during a long duration, would that save you from such insanity? <<< http://community.tulpa.info/thread-mjolnir >>> Mjolnir Gender: Female Birth/Creation: Febuary 4th 2013 Astora Gender: Female Birth/Creation: April 4th 2014 Nueva Gender: Female Birth/Creation: May 1st 2015
Kiahdaj February 12, 2013 February 12, 2013 ^ Yes, I'd imagine it could. After all, it is still company. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
Lolimancer February 12, 2013 February 12, 2013 Well, being on a deserted island and talking to imaginary people to save yourself from insanity probably counts as going insane from an outside perspective.
