Reports like this always irk me. I get the feeling that the people who put together these stories just want to jerk tear ducts instead of trying to inform or educate people about the subject. Some one suffering the way she is doesn't need to be exploited by the media for ratings.

I do wonder how good of an idea it is to 'play along' with her hallucinations, though. Maybe she would be able to handle herself better if she learned the true nature of her animals, assuming she's able to learn it in the first place.

Why the hell does this thread exist? The title is incorrect. Schizophrenia doesn't create tulpas, it creates hallucinations, both of which are very different from each other. We already have 2 other schizophrenia threads, which are related to tulpas in some way (using tulpas to combat hallucinations, a user with both tulpas and schizophrenia). This thread doesn't relate to tulpas at all in the OP, and is more about "Hey guys, I dislike reality TV shows, Oprah is literally Hitler!" "i cri every tim" "I once knew someone schizophrenia, and here's my experience!". This isn't related to tulpas in anyway. I suggest we lock, delete or merge the threads in some way.

Well fuck you guys, I started this thread in the hopes of starting intelligent discussion around schizophrenia, theory's ect. I could see how you could take it as being insensitive but that wasn't what I was going for. God damn, you overly zealous white-knighting dickheads.

You're becoming hostile and confrontational over literally nothing.

/raging rant.

Also if it's not a hallucination, if it's all just artificial and you subconsciously puppeting, then wtf is the point of creating a Tulpa?

If you ask politely I'll delete the thread because nothing productive is coming from it, and because it inadvertently appears to be insensitive.

In advance: I will not apologize for anything.

Hallucinations would be the senses related to them. I don't think I'd go as far and say their thoughts are hallucinations, unless you hear it like another person's voice that comes from the outside. I guess what I'm saying is that I don't really see a tupper being a hallucination, but a lot of the work related to them is about causing hallucinations.

The THE SUBCONCIOUS ochinchin occultists frt.sys (except Roswell because he doesn't want to be a part of it)

Yea but they communicate and manifest through hallucinations right? And by hallucinations I mean involuntary imagination, E.G your tulpa just talks to you without your consent or anticipation.

That depends on what you think tuppers are.

If you think they're other consciousnesses like you, then your imagination isn't involved in their talking to you.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

There was "intelligent" conversation going on, but it wasn't about tulpas and how they relate to schizophrenia, but rather simply schizophrenia and what it is. I would have no issue with this if it weren't in GD, but you posted it here. Don't say I didn't contribute, because I did. You might notice that ramalama made the other thread.

Oh shut up jimmy, I wasn't being serious...

No, I wouldn't say that schizophrenic hallucinations can ever be classified as tulpae.

That said, they do appear to be sapient, as they can certainly respond to what you say.

So I'm not really sure.

After all, I'm not 100% sure what schizophrenia is. I know how it is caused, and what the effects are, but that still doesn't say for sure what it is
