Sands March 31, 2013 March 31, 2013 My mom's dad had voices in his head telling him to beat his wife, so he did. The THE SUBCONCIOUS ochinchin occultists frt.sys (except Roswell because he doesn't want to be a part of it)
Kiahdaj March 31, 2013 March 31, 2013 I once knew an 11 or so year old boy who constantly heard his father's voice, telling him to kill himself. It must've been pretty rough. Schizophrenia is no joke, and if you wish you had it, you simply don't know enough about it. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
Kiahdaj March 31, 2013 March 31, 2013 Also, this is relevant. [video=youtube] "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. Kiahdaj March 31, 2013 March 31, 2013 Judging by that video, I may have had schizophrenia when I was younger, I used to imagine some pretty horrible shit while I was alone (monsters coming out of walls, something in my coffee ect). Never had voices though, just bad feelings about certain things. The voices are the schizophrenia. All schizophrenia is, is "sensing" things without actual sensory stimulation. It's just that the voices people tend to hear are usually malicious. Dunno why. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. I might've heard this, or I might be guessing this, but I think it's because kids are trained such that "unknown=bad", and since these voices have no physical/visual form, they are very unknown. This just reinforces that the voices are bad, in the same way that believing your tulpa will try to hyrt you or be jealous will make it so.

What is your logic behind that statement, might I ask? I can understand the belief in the sentience being something, but I would like to hear your other thoughts on why.

As mentioned above, most schizophrenics don't want their hallucinations, or in many cases (as in this one) they fail to realize they're not real. This last component is especially what sets us apart from schizophrenics, since we realize that our tulpae are creations of our mind, and also (for the most part) they don't go around telling us to kill our relatives.
