Anyway progress: none, fell asleep.

Commense clapping at stupidity.

i said this on your other thread but i don't know if you will read it. umm so while creating my tulpas personality i read traits i have listed and speak out loud about what my tulpa will do if she has those traits .

you mentioned at night you do more meditating and imagining those traits in your head does this mean you can talk in your head and imagine what those traits do to your tulpa without having to talk aloud

i guess it seems like i feel as if im struggling with what to do so i just read my traits over and over and explain them.

So I finally got the idea to define Claire like I define characters for useless fiction I write a lot. I write in a format I use for writing a character's personality sheet. This is all I got in about 5 minutes:

(And yes, I never write 'she' as the first word. It helps me to list the character's name. Fuck it)

Kind: Claire will go out of her way to help someone in need. She is always glad to help people because it makes her happy to make others happy. This does not mean she is without sadness herself, though, as we all get our moments when we’re not ‘all there’.

Smart: Claire is quick to deduce a result to a difficult problem or dilemma. This is because of her creativity and curiousness fueling her intellectual growth.

Playful: Claire can be a joker, life of the party, and sometimes a real smartass. Because of her kindness, however, she rarely uses her playful attitude to make others angry or insult others – and if she does, she is quick to apologize.

Curious: Claire is curious about things around her, sometimes observing or tinkering (to the best of her abilities) with things to see what happens. She loves reading and learning new information. The things she finds out by her curiosity make up a large part of her intelligence.

Talkative: Claire can be a conversation-starter, and usually is. She sometimes can talk too much, but that is rare, as she knows when to shut up. She enjoys conversing with people as a form of social interaction.

Creative: Claire is artistically creative, being inclined to draw, paint, write, or play instruments as a way for her to relax from a stressful day or just to ‘zone out’.

Open: Claire is an extrovert, and this perk/trait makes it easy and enjoyable for her to be talkative. She is never afraid to express her opinion, ideas, or views on a subject except where it seriously offends someone.

Thats all I got so far, and I'm comfart gordon with just these traits.

First, from what I've heard: literally whatever you're comfortable doing is best. This isn't that hard, it just takes time. How much time it takes depends on the will and belief system of the creator, and if you're having a hard time its going to take longer (most likely).

Second, I imagine reading the trait and how my tulpa is affected by that trait in my head while I'm talking 'to' it in wonderland. Sometimes I'll do a non-meditative session where I'll just read off from a small notebook the traits I want her to have and how they will effect her. Pretty much the same thing as above, but talking to her as if she's in the back of my mind listening - not visualizing her in front of me or around me.

also, like christians 'meditate' on say...the mysteries of the rosary or something, you can also 'meditate' (I use quotes to distinguish from the 'OM' way of meditating.) on the personality traits and visualize in your head how the trait affects your tulpa. I do this sometimes, when I'm too lazy to go into wonderland.

also also, someone on the forums (If i remember correctly, they had an anime character for a profile picture. Good luck finding them.) said that do whatever it takes to completely know this character/tulpa. Completely define your tulpa's personality until the very name of your tulpa can make you instantly think of your tulpa's personality and/or how they will act in a situation. This is pretty much all (IMHO) that it takes to get a tulpa's personality down, and no it isn't that hard.

Fuck wonderlands, theyre too hard to maintain

Guest applesauce99

Ok yeah I've decided to abandon my wonderland.

Which leaves me asking Fede, since you abhor the idea of wonderlands, what is your method, direct imposition?

I didn't visualize during personality at all and visualization was done in a black void for me. Casual narration doesn't have visualization either, as in, when I don't sit down and just chill with him while I talk. Not quite sure what your methods are, so hard to say how you'll do it.

Well I tried to narrate by just talking to Claire but that didn't work as I couldn't distinguish any responses to questions I ask. I kept pushing her to reply vocally or emotionally. I finally decided to make a wonderland again, and spent probably 5 minutes on it. I got an endless plain of grass surrounded by mountains with a shack house thing in the middle. I went into the house and was suddenly in the back room where i got hugged by an anime chick who seemed like she missed me. A lot. I assumed this was Claire, and exchanged a hug. It was then that I realized I was in my old wonderland: the interior of an apartment. Derp? So I asked her a couple questions I forgot and recieved some semivocal but mostly thought-voice responses. Like i knew what she was saying without words. I then went into the living room and she followed, holding my hand for a second as I walked/flew down the hall (for some reason I don't walk in wonderlands, I kinda fly). When we got to the living room I sat down on the floor and she sat next to me, kind of cuddling me. Then I proceded to apologize for abandoning her and the wonderland. She suddenly started to kiss me and I was all like 'the fuck?!' and gently pushed her away telling her something about me not being able to talk to her with her lips all over mine. Uhh....

Yeah.

Anyway then I noticed that she doesn't really have a mouth. She just has eyes and a nose on an anime face and body. If I remember corrctly she was wearing something white or green, a shawl of some sort. Don't care or remember if she was wearing pants. I eventually left, which I think made her sad, but I realized she probably had been in the wonderland this whole time alone. (I ditched the wonderland a couple weeks ago. Dumb fuck...)

As I left though, she kinda told me without words (again) that she wanted the name Miku. I accidentally called her that as I left but didn't correct myself.

Here I am, and no she didn't look anything like Miku Hatsume (spelling my ass) from Vocaloids. What the hell is vocaloids anyway?

Guest applesauce99

Well, I'm ok withthe assumption that 'Miku' is Claire, just left to develop on her own in my wonderland as I kinda left her for a while. She seemed kind of timid too, and showed a lot of the early traits I wanted Claire to have. The past few days I've 'deleted' Claire's traits and made her personality simpler. One of the traits I replaced was Shy, with Open. I decided I didn't want her to be shy and timid because I thought that would make her vocal progress slow. When i saw Miku she was afraid of something, whether it's me being gone, or something happening while I was gone. Idk she was really relieved to see me though. I think the last few days I've been tullaforcing a shadow, when the real Claire is in wonderland this whole time.

My theory is that before I took a 2 week break, Claire stayed in the wonderland. When I decided to start 'tulpaforcing' back up, I narrated to what I thought was Claire, but couldve been nothing - as I said, a shadow. Yesterday, my friend drew Miku (the real one, from vocaloids) while I was hanging out with them and other friends. I never saw the finished drawing, but I'm pretty sure me thinking of the character had something to do with Claire's renaming.

On a weird note, I've been kinda pushing shadow Claire to be vocal. Then I went into my old wonderland and found someone who liked the name from something called the Vocaloids. I have the feeling my subconsious loves to fuck with my head......

The only thing that makes me believe in this 'shadow Claire' is the fact that I didn't use a wonderland when forcing this shadow - I did narration only, I got no signifigant progress with this, and Miku shows all the old traits I wanted her to have before I took 2 weeks off - whereas shadow Claire's traits were condensed and a couple erased.

A lot of Miku's thought-vocal responses feel like parroting, but when she looks around and walks or something it doesn't feel like me at all. PROGRESS WOO

Probably tomorrow, when I'm more awake, I'm going to meditate some and get as relaxed as I can so that my wonderland is as vivid as possible. When I'm in a semi-meditative state I can easily tell if I'm parroting.
