Guest applesauce99 July 13, 2012 July 13, 2012 >69 posts to this thread Anyway I tried the wonderland adventure thing, and I again couldn't find Miku anywhere in my wonderland. I figured it's because I'm imposing her lately that she wouldn't be in there. So I went on my own adventure that involved shooting zombies, fighting some bitch nurse in a hospital, fighting in one of the Vietnam scenes from Forest Gump, and then my concentration was fucked and my visualization waned. Only 15 minutes passed, I guess I ain't as good as I used to be. What's next: imposing/cuddling (what it's nighttime) Miku, at least in the 'sense' way and not so much 'visual' method. I firmly believe she'll either be vocal or at least noticibly more sentient within a week, so we'll see where that belief gets her and I. Peace out
Guest applesauce99 July 13, 2012 July 13, 2012 He is 6 feet tall, skinny, and covered with scratches and bite marks. His eyes are bloodshot, one of his ears is missing, and dark yellow ooze drools out of his bloody mouth as he hauls ass towards me from across the intersection. Before I could even think, I fire 7 rounds into his chest. Blood spurts out where the bullets tear into his flesh and he crumples on the asphalt with the satisfying but disgusting sound of flesh hitting pavement. Miku giggles before speaking as the smoke wafts out of my gun's barrel, “You know that’s your only magazine, right?” -an excerpt from the zombie-shooting hell of an adventure I wanted to have with Miku. I decided to just write out how I would've wanted it to go instead of racking my brain to visualize it all in real time. Meh, lazy. And writers block.
Guest applesauce99 July 14, 2012 July 14, 2012 imposition is going slow, way slower than when I started...which is weird. Its like reverse progress >.> My plan is still to impose and parrot.
Guest applesauce99 July 14, 2012 July 14, 2012 Well, I think I'm settling on the belief that tuppers are in a base form of definition, just an imaginary friend. Through narration and personality work, you condition your mind into seeing it as more than that i.e. sentient. The approach, in this belief, would be similar to creating an IC - which is visualization/personality, and parroting like a rabid motherfucker with it's head cut off. Narration helps tremendously in telling your mind that this thing is seperate from you. All this work on vocalization, the senses, etc. you can do with IC's and isn't strictly for tulpas. To my uneducated eyes, it appears that people are making a bigger deal of tulpas than is neccessary. You can't 'fuck this up', create a 'servitor', or physically interact with them. Well, the last one can be plausible depending on how much you work on the sense perception. Anyway, that's my four cents.
glitchthe3rd July 14, 2012 July 14, 2012 On the contrary, the potential practical implications of tulpae are enormous. Duke mentioned that he uses his to stop his PTSD-induced nightmares, and I've successfully used mine to manage my autism. Tulpae could potentially be used to treat a wide range of mental disorders, provided this gains some credibility with the psychological and academic communities. Guest applesauce99 July 14, 2012 July 14, 2012 Well yeah, I'm not saying theyre ONLY IC's, they're fucking awesome mental constructs with limitless potential. I just think they're not something like 'magical' or 'amazing', since I mean they're all in your head.

It doesn't make it any less amazing or magical. Yes, one can easily faux reduce certain things, but that doesn't mean they are no longer impressive. A rainbow is still impressive even if you understand how it works. The same way a tulpa can be something as impressive as your own self and personality.
