I see the term, "roleplaying" being thrown around alot and pertaining to tulpas, but I've never seen a concrete definition and this has always bothered me. I understand what roleplaying is, but how is it used in this context. Is the person in question aware of their actions? If you're roleplaying, are you actually fooling yourself with the roleplay, or is the act simply for others in an attempt to get attention? What exactly does roleplaying entail? Is it often subtle or sublime? Can an actual tulpa develop from roleplaying, as some methods suggest is possible with parroting?

Just call me curious.

Roleplaying here usually refers to someone who fakes a tulpa for attention.

And if you put enough effort into the features of the tulpa you're roleplaying as then it would be possible to actually create a tulpa from the rolplaying.

When I say roleplaying, I usually am referring to someone who either, like MegaBusta said, is lying about having a tulpa, and so forth, or someone who thinks he has one, but doesn't. I've been seeing more of the latter, recently. I still, to this day, believe that there are plenty of people here who don't truly understand what a tulpa is. So basically, I think that they are people who think they're doing what everyone else is, but isn't. I know that doesn't technically fit the definition of roleplaying, but it's easier to target that word at both groups.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

This is also the main cause of my, and probably many others, doubt of their tulpa.

Unless your tulpa is completely imposed and visible, you can never be sure if you are doing it right.

Chloe - That cheerful girl with ponytail.

Aigis - The male cyborg that looks like raiden in MGR.

Vixen - Half dragon female who looks like Mary in DMC3 when in human form.

I should point out that I truly believe that, if you really understand what a tulpa is, then if you think you have one, you do.

The people I say think they have one but don't, are people who I don't think really understands what tulpas are.

After all, I've seen some people who I'm sure think that tulpas are just imaginary friends that you puppet. That's the way they act, anyway.

I don't really think there's much of a concept of what tulpae are that is actually agreed on though...

It's a delusion which you believe is real, it's a separate mind in your subconscious, it's an angel from the planet Nibiru which helps you to achieve enlightenment...

I think that the biggest problem is people who take Fede's method too seriously. I think they might be following his steps... But then again, they could just be douches who think the rest of the community's doing the same as they are...

"DUDE! That's wrong! You don't do that! That's like giving a kid a knife and telling him that it's a neck massager!"

Shameless self promotion!

Yeah, I was going to expand more on what I meant by that, in case someone misunderstood what I meant, like you have. My bad.

What I meant by "Understand what tulpas are" I didn't really mean what they are. I mean it in the same way as knowing what gravity is. We know what gravity does, we can measure it, and we know it has to do with mass. However, what we do not know is what is causing it. We have no damn clue why gravity exists; only theories.

That's what I mean about understanding tulpas. To know how they work, what they're like, and how to make one, but still not know exactly what they are, as in, another consciousness, a hallucination, or an actual metaphysically created being.

As for the comment on Fede's method...

I guess I just have nothing to say, as I'm not apposed to it.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

I don't think that many are using Fede's methods. Some are, but I doubt majority of the #.info roleplayers are. They're just people who think of a thing and poof, suddenly a tulpa and oh look another one and whoops I just accidentally my tupper pregnant, wat do. AKA overactive imagination mistaken to be a tupper. Is there a difference? Well eh, what do I know. I'd say yes. I kinda would require the tupper to be able to talk back to me, because there's no way in hell a tupper and host will agree about everything always. It's always a special feeling the first time you and tupper have a serious talk about something, both coming from different viewpoints. That and surprising you I guess. And I guess I can't just say it's just my imagination if I can sort of zone out and have the body doing things when I'm not even looking though its eyes. Or maybe it is. But that's some fucking good imagination there bro.

Tulpa.info is the perfect place for that, indeed. Because in this community, having a tulpa is something utterly fascinating, unusual, and unheard-of. oh wait

You'd think that, but no. They basically got a thing that could act in any way possible and then the person can hide behind "oh no guise lol it wasn't me it was the tupper who said that lol wacky XDDD". That and they're more kawaii moe uguu. You can't be that if you're a fat teen neckbeard in real life, you know.
