AliasTakuto May 9, 2012 May 9, 2012 I'm only on day two of my Tulpa, I managed a full hour on the first day. and a half hour yesterday (Planning for an hour today but who knows what I'll manage), for some reason I just can't concentrate properly, it's not that I'm feeling tired I just can't focus. It might just be my ADHD or that I've never done anything meditating related before so I suck at getting myself to focus on something like this for more than that. I also find myself opening my eyes to look at the clock every five or so minutes which I'm pretty sure is not going to help either, tips anyone? I'd appreciate it if someone told me how they got over this (If they had the same problem)

Guest May 9, 2012 May 9, 2012 \"Previous\"? Is it not around anymore? The tulpa I initially attempted for a month, starting 17th March, was eventually cancelled because my family and the television kept disrupting my tulpaforcing. I'd keep going out of focus whenever they'd go by the hallway or talk. There wasn't much to lose, since the only thing I'd received was some pushing and a bit of headache. I'm starting a new one tommorow, from which point on I'll have six weeks alone in the apartment, giving me lots of quiet time to fully focus.

This, for example, works great for me: Others prefer some slower stuff like ambient, chillout, etc. You could also try some white noise, pink noise, or http://iso-tones.com/ , though I find that music works better, as long as you can find that sweet spot between too slow/boring and too fast/intense. Also, for the clock problem, put your clock somewhere you can't see it without standing up and walking over to it.

Lyranon May 9, 2012 May 9, 2012 I put in about 2 hours forcing a day, mostly in the mornings because that's when i'm most calm and collected.

bila bila May 9, 2012 Author May 9, 2012 I find the morning the best time for me because I have so much going on in my head in the afternoon/night. Yes I also get distracted a lot and eventually tend to cut my sessions early. I've pretty much finished visualization and personality and am getting more into narration. What are you supposed to talk about when you narrate? I haven't got a clue.
