bila bila May 10, 2012 Author May 10, 2012 Yea I usually sit with my legs crossed and my hands on my lap. I tried laying down on my bed this morning but fell asleep. Luckily, I have a backup alarm if I sleep through the first three.
Guest May 14, 2012 May 14, 2012 If we're talking about tulpaforcing "positions," I can recommend standing up. Yes, standing up with eyes closed. That's an interesting idea, I'll have to try that. It would certainly make me look cooler.
Citizen Anon May 14, 2012 May 14, 2012 I always tell myself to get a solid hour of forcin' in a day, but it inevitably gets whittled down to 45 mins - half hour a day. And now to the actual topic: I spend an average of an hour and a half per day tulpaforcing, but I've been slowly increasing that amount, and it's now approaching two hours. The sessions are typically an hour long. I try to do about two forty-minute sessions each day. The reason I don't aim for three hours is because just one forty-minute session will give me a headache, since I can get into deep thought fairly quickly and use all that time doing heavy concentration. The headaches typically last 24 hours, thus the next day's sessions just serves to renew them. Pretty much headache 24/7, but it isn't so bad that I would do even less tulpaforcing. I want to get this done before my next autumn semester so I can have a White Christmas ;_;
BFP May 15, 2012 May 15, 2012 Have a bad hip I can't do crosslegged and sure as hell cannot stand on my head I have a camp chair in the studio I use. Use a pillow to keep my back straight. I do use pranyama techniques to help build heat and energy. I also do shamanic type energy raising with the hyper ventilating dancing ect. scrying, dowsing for suggestions or work direction. I follow the AV's directions for the most part he tends to work from different angles from evocatory to meditative. Time I guess I average 40 minutes a day sometimes do a couple sessions. I quit when I fatigue or start to wander mentally so it doesn't adversly affect the form. As I said I don't watch the clock.
Sheep LI May 16, 2012 May 16, 2012 I'm on Day 2 on the Tulpa visualization stage, but I can't seem to focus. See, I'm a former sufferer of ADHD so it's REALLY difficult for me to concentrate. I've been practicing with concentration techniques like taping a card with a black dot to a white wall and sitting Indian-style on a bed opposite from the card wall. Today, I attempted creating the tulpa visually for maybe an hour. I couldn't hold the legs visually long enough, fading in and out from the world that is your eyes closed. Does this happen to you on your first days of envisioning? I'm not sure if it's just me failing to hold an image with my eyes closed or if anyone else has this problem persistently. I want to make a tulpa. That's why I'm here. Tulpa Name: Shai, ✓Personality, ✓Visualization, ✓Touch, ✓Smell, Body Language and Sentience ❑

I have a minor case of it. As long as you realise that you are drifting away you should be able to snap yourself back into visulising. Try do this every time you feel like your mind is about to wander.
