Tulpony July 13, 2013 July 13, 2013 I'm getting some teeth extracted later this year, which is unpleasant enough as it is, but it also has myself and one of my tulpae concerned about the effects anesthesia (or whatever that gas is that makes you feel loopy) might have on them. I doubt it's anything serious since otherwise we'd probably have heard about it, but it would still be nice to know what to expect. Has anyone had this or a similar experience?
Guest EnnervateIndustries July 13, 2013 July 13, 2013 I was put under general anaesthesia (knockout drugs) for surgery a while back. I did some experiments with Maia to see how it affects her (e.g. try to mess with my senses as the drugs took effect by visually imposing herself, telling me what time it was when I regained consciousness to check my internal clock, etc.) and it turned out that it affected her about the same as it affected me. She went out and woke up with me. If you're thinking of topical anaesthesia or numbing agents e.g. Novocaine, they basically never did anything more than annoy her. General rule of thumb for me is that something that messes with me mentally or physically in some way will affect Maia only to the extent it would affect me mentally when I'm at my best and resist it as completely as possible, but I'm sure it affects others differently. Basically, if I could, within my abilities, completely ignore something, it won't affect her at all.
fennecfoxx July 13, 2013 July 13, 2013 I doubt it would have any effect on them. Anesthesia puts you to sleep, and tulpae can still be awake and do things while the host is asleep, so it shouldn't have any effect on them unless you believe it will. Deluded myself into believing my imaginary friends were real, then deluded myself into thinking they weren’t. Whatever the case, the OG gang’s still here: Host: fennec (they/them) Tulpas: Alex (he/him) and Kayleigh (she/her) Delete all memories of those who know my awkward past
Comm Data July 13, 2013 July 13, 2013 I agree with fen this kind of thing should not harm her just agitate her. She could easily go into the wonderland while you are out. Tulpa progress Name not given yet working on giving her voice. Form human pinkish red hair with glasses normal body. She contradicts me in certain ways. She has more emotions then I have yet I wish to be more emotional. Im estimating at least 300 more hours should be put into her. She was from my dreams.
Chupi July 15, 2013 July 15, 2013 This is from Thursday, April 19, 2012, a post by FAQ man in a 4chan /mlp/ tulpa thread. It can be found in archive #34 over at http://tulpae.tk. When I went to get surgery on my knee, he went to the waiting room, and saw the same 12 seconds played over and over that I saw while walking through. Apparently anesthesia takes away your ability to make any sort of assumed world for your tulpa. As always, your mileage may vary. glitchthe3rd July 15, 2013 July 15, 2013 I had to get put under when they took my wisdom teeth out, and although I personally don't remember anything happening when I was blacked out, Luna said she watched them operate on me. Hornets July 16, 2013 July 16, 2013 I'm gonna have to get my wisdom teeth out one day as well. I'm not sure, my tulpas are aware of what happens during my dreams (they suck at recalling them too, we're awful at parallel processing still). I guess they'll have a general awareness of what's going on around you while you have no clue what's happening.
