Hey guys, remember that accidental tulpa I had a while ago that mysteriously disappeared? Yeah, Destiny came out and told me that she was controlling her as an experiment but never had the heart to tell me once I noticed her. So she wasn't anything, just Des mucking about. So that's something...

 

Anyway, I hope you guys had a great April Fools day. That was certainly... an experience with Des around. I wasn't as uncomfortable as I thought I would be with a tarantula the size of a dog following me around all day, but I guess that's the way the brain works, right? Luckily she turned back into her usual self in the evening. Thank god for that.

(Hey, I actually remembered to put the friggin' date this time!)

 

Ok, I'm freaking out a little, Destiny's birthday is tomorrow and I have about 0 plans for it. There's the room decoration thing which I'll definitely do, but other than that I'm at a loss. I asked her what she wants but didn't get a straight answer. Ah this is giving me a headache!

 

The worst part is that I'll be back at my parents house, so things are restricted in the sense that I don't want them finding out about her. I can see my plans for this to be an awesome 1st birthday falling down around us. But I've gotta keep trudging on.

Maybe I'll let her possess me for the entire day. She's sensible, things will work out, right?

 

Anyway, sorry for venting my frustration down here, I just needed to do it somewhere. If you actually bothered to read that, I'll buy you a beer or a coffee or something if we're ever in the same city. Cheers guys.

Speaking of bothering to read stuff, I just bothered to read my damn bio on my page. So Axelia was still on there listed as my tulpa. That paragraph swiftly felt the wrath of my Backspace. I apologize for any possible confusion that may have caused even though I doubt people actually look at my profile. But still, sorry.

As far as gifts go, have you considered asking her if there's a book/movie/album/television show that she likes (or would like to see/hear) that you don't currently own? Watching/listening to it together could be a nice bonding experience.

Yes, I've asked her that, but she's not really that bothered. She says she wants to finish watching Breaking Bad with me, but we watch that almost every night anyway.

Actually, she's just mentioned Clash of the Titans, so I'll have to go and see if there's a copy I can pick up. Thank you mysterious stranger.

16th April 2014 (I forgot it again! I love the power of editing)

 

Wow. One year. One year of pain and horror, and suffering...

 

I kid of course. It really isn't sinking in how long it's been. But every minute was an adventure, and I can think of a lot of ways that my life would be worse if Des had never been there for me.

It's been a good day, the stars aligned and my parents decided to go out for a celebratory meal for mothers day/my dad's birthday today. They were a bit confused as to why I was so keen to celebrate, but didn't ask questions.

During dinner we discussed a trip to the Midlands we're having in July, and as way of apology to Des for not actually getting her a gift, I subtly talked my parents into dropping in to the Jewelry Quarter of Birmingham where I plan on getting a ring with Des' birthday engraved on it. My parents are buying the ring for my birthday, but to hell with it, we'll both be benefiting from it. Hopefully it'll help to keep her in my mind.

 

We were planning on popping in on IRC (which we did very briefly) but then my parents wanted to put a film on and I let Des choose what we wanted. Instead of Clash of the Titans (which the bloody store didn't have), we ended up with The Woman In Black, Daniel Radcliffe as a Victorian lawyer investigating a haunting. Very good film. The power went out for a few seconds during a really suspenseful moment and Destiny screamed a little.

 

She's been decorating her wonderland bedroom every spare minute she has, and it's starting to look... um.... red. Very red. I'll give her a hand to decorate tomorrow if I have time between appointments with the bank and getting my watch repaired. I'm looking forward to it.

 

Also, while I'm thinking about it, there was a leap in auditory imposition today (or recently in general, I guess). A few days ago I heard her whisper as if she was right next to me, and this morning while I was still half-asleep she screamed "I fucking hate you!" at me. I snapped up to a sitting position and she fell back against the wall, giggling. It was a joke. She likes to pick her words when they're the base of a major milestone.

 

Anyway, here's to another year, and hopefully a lifetime, of adventure and surprises. Happy birthday Destiny.

It's been how long? And I only now realise the pun in "Manifest Destiny"?

 

I am ashamed of myself.

 

On another note, Destiny's wonderland room turned out well. It's almost entirely red, but a good kind of red, and has a window that takes up an entire wall, giving a view of the city along the riverbank (I don't think I've ever actually described my wonderland on here, so that will be the paragraph after this one). There's a nice, soft, cream-colored carpet (seriously, this is really soft) and a double bed in the middle of the room. It even has a TV that slides up from the end of the bed! How cool is that!?

 

So that I can better describe the view from the room and insert my wonderland into your knowledge-holes, here is my description of where I go when I'm bored.

We use a small, two-bedroom apartment as our home. It's on the 32nd floor of an apartment building, and the view from the kitchen and living room is a beautiful scene of the Brooklyn Bridge stretching out over a river into the city across from us. The apartment next to us has been converted into a library, holding all of my memories, which Destiny is often looking through. There are 4 apartments on every floor, with a rickety old elevator and concrete stairs in the middle of the hall. I let Destiny design the lobby, which is marble, and way too big for the building that it is in.

The building we live in is on the riverbank, with only a small cobbled street separating us from the water. Next to the apartment building is a fish and chip shop on the right, and a small nightclub on the left. As you walk out of the building, the road to the left runs under the bridge and connects with a small square exhibiting a pillar of granite with a few names on.

This is all that I have explored of a large city that is surrounded by massive, snow-covered mountains. I teleported to the top of a mountain once, and could see the mountain range stretch far into the distance.

I like to call this place Shangri-La. Sorry for the wall of text. I think I'm going to write a book based here, the writing process will help me to explore the world.

I drew a picture of Destiny today. I reckon it's the best one I've done of her in a long time, but there's something about it that annoys me and I can't figure out what. I'll probably post it later.

 

We just spent an hour dancing around my room to some tunes, and I'm not totally sure but I think I experienced a little visual imposition. We were spinning around and I could see the outline of her head in front of me, like a ghost. Hardly there, but there all the same. Things are moving much faster than I anticipated when I started, and I'm so excited. A little scared for some reason, but I can't wait to see where we'll be in another year or so.

 

Also, Des now has a saxophone strapped to her back for some reason. It suits her.

[Hey, I'm going to write this today instead of Craos because why not.

Anyway, first on today's agenda is the fact that we started writing that damn book that will be based in our wonderland, the first draft of Chapter 1 is up and can be found on our DA and is also on Mibba.com which I shall post the link to (probably). It's called "Nope" and is a barrel of what I can only assume is laughs. Seriously check it out, and leave some feedback on how we can improve etc.

Okay, there is a massive announcement today. So, after staying up all night and discussing it with Destiny, we've finally decided to make another tulpa together.

I've noticed that she's been pretty down recently, and after a while of thinking she needed a bit of space, I decided to ask her what was wrong last night. She's been lonely. I mean, she explained that she really enjoys hanging out with me, but when I'm busy doing other things it gets indescribably lonely. So we stayed up for a few hours and talked things through. We decided that she needed a friend, she knew that I was hesitant and didn't want to straight up ask, so I suggested it and she agreed. She explained that she feels it would help us work on imposition and stuff because she doesn't need to rely on attention from me, and I had to admit she had a good point. We went through the entire "oh, what if they turn out to be an asshole" conversation and decided that we'd control their personality a little bit to make sure that doesn't happen, even if people do think they should grow naturally. Our final decision was that I'd let Destiny control their personality and appearance until they changed it themselves, seeing as this is for her benefit anyway.

 

So damn, exciting stuff, I'm kinda nervous, but I guess hosts always are when we do something like this. We're going to call them Jess apparently until they pick their own name, and they're going to be a human redheaded girl, around Destiny's age until they pick their own appearance.

 

On another note, I'm saying right now that I'm going to update this progress report daily from now on, and if I don't you are allowed to come to my flat and hit me.

 

(Damn it, I can't use the "Manifesting Destiny" pun as a title any more, I'm going to have to add Jess in there somewhere)
