mouse January 14, 2013 Share January 14, 2013 Hello! The first I heard of tulpa I was studying at a Buddhist monestary. I never was ordained, just a student. All of the talks were translated to English and my Tibetan comprehension is miserable, so I don't remember hearing the word tulpa until just a couple months ago, but they talked allot of what they translated as thoughtforms and dopplegangers (sentient thoughtforms). I first heard tulpa on ponychan, and was curious to see more what people were doing with these techniques. I probably won't be creating a tulpa of my own, but I've been thinking recently that if I do it'd be of a monk, they would understand their nature as a tulpa and be willing to help me expirement with the nature of the mind, and that way they would understand if i destroy them after a few months. As far as who I am, I'm a francophone luddite from Maine, who apprenticed to be a farrier but failed at becoming one...
CrazyMadFun January 19, 2013 Share January 19, 2013 Hey everyone, you can call me Crazy, I just started forcing my tulpa around 5 days ago, and she is sentient and we have had a few conversations. I have had lots of experience and attended several talks on visualization and (I now realize) creating tulpas, as my family practices Tibetan Buddhism.
Splooshie123 January 19, 2013 Share January 19, 2013 The point is that new members can introduce themselves here. Since we're not getting 100 new members a week, don't expect much activity from it.

Khetienn January 21, 2013 Share January 21, 2013 Uhh, hi. ^^;; You can call me Khet and I have four tulpae, although I didn't really know that's what they were. I haven't done hardly any imposing them into my environment, so they're very internally focused. They're at varying levels of autonomy, my oldest is... 13-ish years old? and very developed, the others are somewhat behind. Their names are Konran, Miranda, Verity, and Avalon. Anyway, this looks like an interesting site and it perfectly describes what's going on in my head; I'll be interested to talk to you all!
Taric January 24, 2013 Share January 24, 2013 Hello everybody. I was indecisive for a while about how I wanted to be known on this board and settled into Taric as a pseudonym with my recent obsession with playing as him in League of Legends. I was born and raised in the mid-western part of the United States and still live in the city I grew up in. I am a young 20-something and biologically male- if asked to elaborate on that my response would be "it's too complicated for even my own understanding yet." Throughout my life, I have been thoroughly interested in human psychology, physics, and related topics. From my early adolescence onward, I have privately studied these things and sought to grow my knowledge. In recent years, this studying has focused on fringe concepts and other abstracts, looking for the forefront of theoretical and unproven things that would likely be referred to among academics as "pseudo-science." My interest in tuplae arose from one of my friends coming out to me about theirs. As I gradually learned more about the subject through discussion with him, I grew intrigued. I figured that at this point the best way to learn more about these beings and decide whether I am interested in having one or more of my own would be to join the official forums and start participating in discussion with forcers. I will mostly lurk, and even just posting this is probably a huge surge in activity for me as far as not-completely-off-topic threads are concerned. When I do show up in a thread though, I will try to provide whatever insight I can from my outsider's perspective. Whenever I have questions, please treat me kindly. I have not yet installed tupperware to my brainputer. This is subject to change in the medium-to-distant future but short-term I'm just a curious psychology enthusiast looking to learn as much as I can.
