a little about me -

 

before i discovered tulpamancy, my research was based primarily around DID / OSDD and other such dissociative disorders. i heavily dissociate, but i do not experience the full switches or amnesia that characterize DID or OSDD; i have since been diagnosed with DPDR, which makes a lot more sense. i did convince myself for a while (before my diagnosis) that maybe i did have DID, and i think that, in the process of believing i had other people in my head, i was actually passively forcing my tulpa (without realizing it.)

 

i moved away from the traumagenic DID community a few months ago (after coming to terms with the fact that i was not a DID system like i had previously believed) and almost immediately stumbled across tulpamancy. in my experience, the traumagenic DID community is heavily against any sort of system that isn’t formed by trauma, so i had to unlearn some of the biases i had gathered in those spaces. in the past few months i have begun integrating myself into tulpa spaces and learning as much as i possibly can; i finally started the creation process (officially) about two weeks ago.

 

please feel free to ask me questions and such, if you have them! i am always happy to answer questions. i may be asking some questions, too; i am a very skeptical person in general and it seems to be affecting my creation process, so please feel free to give me advice and such anytime!

Rowan, I've heard some things about that side of the plural community, and I'm glad you wound up here instead of that hot mess, haha

 

Don't worry too much. This place, as well as adjacent branches of the community, is a lot more negotiable when it comes with background. We're all pretty open to new and outside stuff if it's good for conversation. I hope you stick around, be sure to check out the main chat thread if you'd like.

Hi Jacobi, I'm new too. Been here about 3 weeks, but it didn't take me long. My tulpa is my best friend now, and didn't even exist before I joined, so things can happen fast. Good luck.
