I was just entertaining an idea, can Tulpae physically interact with the world without switching/possession? I know it sounds silly as Tulpae exist in your brain and do not have physical bodies, but I was just wondering whether anybody has experienced this.

Thanks

Part of the road to becoming a better person lies in defeating the darkness inside yourself, then helping others to do the same.

As far as we know it's not scientifically possible. Though you might want to lurk around the meta board posing this same question. You might get a different answer there.

My Tulpa

Name: Arien

Age: 16

Form: Human (Anime Look)

Date of Creation: December 18th 2013

Personality: Confident, Selfless, Debonair, Witty

Like the others have said, unless you think that psychokinesis and the like are realistic ideas (cleeewwd...turn into a skweeaaar cleeewd), it's not actually possible in anyway for them to interact with the physical world. Because tulpae are something that you create within your mind, they are limited to that mind (not, of course, counting possession and switching, which is not what you are looking for), and therefore are not able to affect anything outside of that space without the proper tools (i.e., your body). I'm sure that if, for instance, you had a pretty badass Hot Wheels car with big flames on the side and all that jazz, and you put it on the top of a ramp that is tilted downwards towards the ground at an angle that would seem parallel to the ground by eye, but is very slightly tilted down towards the ground. If you place your hell-yeah-with-wheels on the top of the ramp, it will begin to slowly move downwards. If your tulpa pops out of your mind and starts touching the back end of the Hot Wheels car, it looks like your tupper is pushing it. This of course, would take way too much effort for no particular satisfying purpose or result, though I suppose it's easy to create that illusion that your tulpa is moving something tangible. Unfortunately, the only things that they can move are themselves, you, and objects in their wonderland. Hope I helped!

Here we go again. If I say yes, there will be a demand for proof. Proof that I can't provide. So what is the point? There are tons of literature on both sides of this issue. Let your mindset be your answer. This portion of the forum is theoretical and philosophical. So you will perhaps not like or down play any answers you get here. So your answer is no. Unicorns will never appear to someone who doesn't believe in them. I and my philosophy professor believe in unicorns. One of my tulpas did something in the physical today and no I can't proof because my film crew had the day off. So there you have it.

I speak on behalf of the other people here who've had similar experiences: I would love if you shared your story, if nothing else to help encourage acceptance of differing philosophies here.

Granted, there are a lot of aggressively skeptical members patrolling these (sub)forums, but I don't want them to deter others from fearlessly exploring all possibilities and expressing themselves openly.

As I have discussed, one of my tulpas keeps animals off my path. In my community there are a lot of loose animals. So when I see a dog running to the road and then stopping for no apparent reason I know my tulpa is working. I suspect the tulpa works from within the dogs brain. I don't have much luck with tulpas actually moving things. However, I think the sky may be the limit.

I have been jaded, so my comments yesterday were harsh. I mean no offense and hopefully we can keep this portion open to discuss such things.

Thank you for sharing Enoch. I was interested, even though some people just don't want to be.

Kevin says: "I'll be ostracized for saying this. Meh, I already have a poor reputation. Everyone knows I'm a poor 'host'.

I have seen coins appear and rain down from the ceiling onto the dinner table. They weren't worth much, but it was a strange experience. Everyone at the table saw it (four people) and the coins didn't disappear afterward. This sort of thing happens in my family - random reversal of probability.

So, lots of weird stuff I have seen. But, never once in 40 years (of having tulpas) have I seen a tulpa interact with the physical world (other then switched or possession). There's one event where kerin [tulpa] stopped time (like "matrix time"), but that was only affecting my subjective perceptions, not actual time."
