Quadraginta November 15, 2013 November 15, 2013 I'm only a year older than you, and I'm making one. As long as you accept the responsibility of it, like I have (and everybody else has) then you should be fine. A tulpa only has emotional needs (I.E. Attention, love, etc.), no physical (I.E. Clothing, food, water, shelter, etc.), but they're still needs, and you, as a host, must provide them for your tulpa(e). My Raid is still very young, and not vocal yet, but I feel emotions which I can't even tell are from her or myself, but whenever I think about her, I feel a good feeling. Dem good feels, ya know? On a serious note, it's not really a matter of age, but maturity. You can be 5 years old, but as long as you're mature enough to truly care for a living, sentient creature, especially one that lives in your own friggin' brain, then you're good. TL;DR make one, if you feel ready for it. Name: Raid Sentience: Confirmed Working on: Vocality Personality Traits: Is awesome a personality trait? Form: 1. Pegasus Pony, with a flat, pink mane, and pink tail, and yellow coat. Also, blue eyes. 2. A blue-haired human (only encountered in dream so far)
Pewpewpewpew December 18, 2013 December 18, 2013 I've been researching tulpas for months now, and at one point I came across a person that told me I was too young to start creating. He gave me a sciency explination about my brain not being developed enough, and told me to wait a year or two. I'm coming up 15 now, and, if you've read my progress report, you'll know I feel i'm more than ready. Just want a second opinion, is all. (No amount of people saying no is going to stop me at this point, just so you know. I'm just curious) My Tulpa Name: Arien Age: 16 Form: Human (Anime Look) Date of Creation: December 18th 2013 Personality: Confident, Selfless, Debonair, Witty
Burrito Party Man December 18, 2013 December 18, 2013 It isn't age that is important. Its the maturity. Typically, a 15 yold brain is not developed enough. But everyone matures at a different rate. Its up to you to determine if you are ready or not.

LukeDude759 December 18, 2013 December 18, 2013 Believe me, I'm anything but a typical 15 year old :) I'd believe you just from personal experience. Most people my age (namely, people in high school) have the mental age of the average 10 year old. No offense to anyone here my age. But then again, anyone who's making a tulpa is most likely far from typical. "Don't listen to friends when the friend inside you says 'Do this.'" -Gandhi Tulpa Name: Ellie Created: 11/13/13
Pewpewpewpew December 18, 2013 December 18, 2013 But then again, anyone who's making a tulpa is most likely far from typical. That's very true My Tulpa Name: Arien Age: 16 Form: Human (Anime Look) Date of Creation: December 18th 2013 Personality: Confident, Selfless, Debonair, Witty
Quilten December 18, 2013 December 18, 2013 Well, I'm 15 as of December 3rd and I've had Q for about 7-8 months and Jira for about 5-6 months. Honestly, I'm a bit (and by ''a bit'', I mean "extremely") pretentious and all of that, but I personally think that I am more mentally advanced than most of the people who are in my age range. Honestly, everything worked out fine for me, better actually, seeing as I'm not dead. Even though my username is that of my tulpa, Quilten, my name is Phaneron, the host, who does all of the actual posting. Tulpas: Quilten, Jira
left blank December 18, 2013 December 18, 2013 [Thread merged with previous topic: 'Am I too young to create a tulpa? (15)'] And to answer your question: There's no age limit or cap on "maturity". I remember creating sentient imaginary acquaintances with friends when I was seven years old. They were a brief part of our psychological experimentation, In fact, the younger a person is, the more I want to encourage tulpa forging. It's a fantastic way to learn about yourself, provided it's done mindfully.
Pewpewpewpew December 18, 2013 December 18, 2013 Thank you to everyone who answered(: I thought about it, and I decided to go through with it. I'm also homeschooled which makes it easier I think to put more time into it. Hey, man! I just started working on my tulpa yesterday, and I had a thread just like this xD I'm coming up on 15 too, but I've been researching tulpa for half a year now, so I've taken a lot of time in my decision. It's a lifelong responibility, and I respect you, me, and everyone else on these forums for taking up on said responsibility. left blank December 18, 2013 December 18, 2013 Hey, man! I just started working on my tulpa yesterday, and I had a thread just like this Precisely why I merged the two. Although I think Nik has since flown the coop.
