Well, I've succeeded in developing a proper Pacman addiction and not much else. It HAS significantly improved my visualization though, as I now find myself able to play through entire levels in my head with decent clarity. With any luck that'll carry over into tulpaforcing. Might quit Pacman and play through Catherine again to build on the foundation. Other than that, I didn't accomplish a damn thing yesterday related to Linda. A Biology final, practicing the bass, and catching up on a few shows/books pretty much occupied all of my time and left my head too cluttered to have a productive session. Starting tomorrow I'm going to remove as many distractions as I can and get back to where I need to be mentally.

I must say, this thread is quite interdasting.

Finally getting a new car this week! Assuming that works out, I'll be headed to Georgia and might be gone for a week or so later this month. N-not that I'll miss you guys or anything... Now, onto things that suggest the possibility of, but do not necessarily imply, progress. Also, I'm sleepy. Too sleepy actually. I'll write this some other time.

Alright, time for some progress! Most of today and yesterday's sessions were spent trying to get used to separating Linda's thoughts from my own. I have difficulty interpreting what's being said beyond 2-3 word long answers, but can generally still get a vague idea of what's being said. My rate of success is only about 20% though, so we likely still have a long way to go.

My visualization skills are continuing to improve, but I'm still getting caught up by hair and facial structure. As far as the hair goes, I'm going to force a style I find easier to focus on initially. Seems like it would make sense to improve overall visualization ability and get a general form in place before doing anything fancy. Facial structure's just going to come down to persistence I suppose.

Sweet, sweet victory. I've finally figured out that damn hairstyle and have a near-complete basic form. All that's left is getting the face just right, which shouldn't take more than another day or two. She's starting to look a just a bit reminiscent of Saber from Fate/stay night actually, mostly the face and build. My Pacman addiction has also been culled (>tfw you account for roughly half of it's plays on this site), which means more time spent tulpaforcing.

And I forgot about the Tortellini on the stove. Yay.

More breakthroughs~

We had our most complete conversation thus far today after getting a few things straight. I noticed that I haven't been experiencing much in the way of the pressure sensations generally associated with tulpaforcing, so I was curious as to whether we were in one of those "dead periods" or if becoming more vocal made her feel that communicating through pressure was no longer needed. I didn't get a solid response at the time, but got the impression that this was indeed the case. Spent another 10 minutes or so on narration, then moved onto the usual visualization work, at which point things got confusing. Whenever I touched her or moved too close, she would push me away or move herself. This occurred once about two days ago, but I figured it was just my imagination. After she repeated it four or five times, it wasn't exactly something I could write off as just me. Though I still have trouble maintaining a consistent image, it was still very clear that she was uncomfortable with the process. Thinking it might be a case of modesty, I forced her a t-shirt and pair of shorts. There was an immediate change in her demeanor, followed by a completely different sort of pressure from the norm. Rather than being focused at the center of the forehead or sinuses, there was a much more mild sensation along my whole body accompanied by a sense of peace. At this point she began to speak. It wasn't audible in the way that a normal voice would be and I did have to focus in order to understand everything, but it was significantly clearer and louder than it had been in the past. This was also the first time Linda led a conversation, rather than simply responding. We didn't discuss anything especially profound, but it was an incredible experience nonetheless.

Nothing exciting to report today, mostly just been cooking, watching the 4chan Cup and narrating sparsely.

Everything finally clicked today in terms of Linda's design, thanks in part to Amadeus' excellent pictures. Now it's just going to be a matter of getting used to holding the image in my head for extended periods. I'm considering finally making a wonderland as well, just a room/house to start off with. The player's house in Whiterun (Skyrim) is a likely candidate, as I've spent enough time in it to visualize without much trouble.

Oh, I gave the vocal chord thing a try, albeit not as thoroughly or accurately as I intend to by the end of things. I was definitely able to hear her breathing, but no proper speech yet.
