sushi July 11, 2014 July 11, 2014 What if we thought about it a different way? What if we considered the possibility that belief itself can change reality? If this was true then it would explain tubas, spells religion and all the rest in one fell swoop. There are entire cultures based around the school of thought that your belief is what shapes the world. Well more like our collective belief as a culture. This reminds me of this -- the whole philosophy section of that post. "Some things have to be believed to be seen." - Ralph Hodgson
ThatFellowWithTheScarf September 7, 2014 September 7, 2014 Here's an interesting interview with the Tulpa.info creator where this is discussed somewhere in the middle.
Ayaze September 8, 2014 September 8, 2014 Tulpa =/= Religion Tulpas can have religious properities (mine does)
glitchthe3rd September 8, 2014 September 8, 2014 I subscribe to Nietzchean philosophy, which says that all things including religion are a manifestation of collective willpower. So in other words, gods are created by humans and not the other way around. And much as a tulpa is sustained by her host paying attention to her, a god is sustained by many people praying to/believing in them or what have you. That's just my two cents. Enoch327 September 10, 2014 September 10, 2014 It's like you turn on an old fashioned lawn mower and go have a cup of coffee. When you come back your neighbor's flower garden is cut to to shreds. Who knew? Enoch, Chancellor of Mars. "Follow your bliss."-Joseph Campbell
FurryBlueNaki September 27, 2014 September 27, 2014 I don't worship my tulpa, but I have great love for him. God, or an entity posing as god has let me down in the past, so it's hard to give my faith to something like that. I like to think more of a Creator. And we are potentially gods ourselves. ThatFellowWithTheScarf September 28, 2014 September 28, 2014 Here's something sort of thought provoking. Let's say a man has a tulpa that he can switch with. He is in control 50% of the time and switches with his tulpa the other 50%. Id they have both spent the sane amount of time in control then isn't the tulpa just as real as the man?
SakuraSky September 29, 2014 September 29, 2014 Well, one of them is still the original inhabitant of the body and existed before the tulpa was created. I still say that both are real, but it would never be truly 50%\50% unless someone had two minds in one body from birth (actually read a novel like this, was very interesting) Host: Sakura Tulpa: Sarah (began June 5th, 2014), Alyx (Began July 23rd, 2014) Our shared tumblr note: usually browsing on mobile, so cannot quote properly
