And thats a big reason you don't necesarely create a tulpa based on a main or secundary character and instead I choosed a background one, with no detailed personality

Back in the year, before I create Rose I read about this issue and just avoid the bullet completely

[triggered]

There is literally no reason to avoid doing something enjoyable now (and does't hurt anyone) that you may o not regret later.

Personally if I somewhat regret it with Rose I will think "Hey, those cuadrupes were a huge part of my life back then. Even if that was a cringe fest, I enjoyed it." and move on

For now I enjoy superior cuddles

That pony isnt vibrating violently enough for me to believe you are truly triggered. Mildly irritated at the most.

I just think if you base a form off of a passing fad you should really think about it, especially if you plan to impose.

You do you thought. Not really my business anyway.

Was about to go force, but I just had to stumble onto this necropost.

Time to don my robe and wizard cap, and tally ho!

Heres some real, honest advice about a pony tulpa straight from FAQman.

"DONT."

Well, it's all fine and dandy, until you realize that FAQman dismissed his own tuppers. The amount of iron in that advice gave me an intoxication.

My tulpa once told me something; "Form matters so much, yet so little... it's ridiculous."

This one deserves a free beverage of choice. Form, name, voice usually don't matter to the tupper that much. "For me, any form is fine as long as my host pays attention to it"

I find this highly offensive as my tulpa and I share the best of cuddles.

You. Me. Wonderland at six hundred sharp. You better bring your A-game.

Yes, making a tulpa because "omg I liek pone" is dumb. But if you actually want a tulpa, then form doesn't matter as long as you give it plenty of love (platonic or not), attention and respect.

I just think if you base a form off of a passing fad you should really think about it, especially if you plan to impose.

Today it's reach the 5th year, actually

There been 5 years and people still think is a fad, come on

You are really triggering me now

I already think about it a lot and totally failed to find flaws

Maybe you just hate other's fun?

I wasnt talking exclusively about ponies in this instance but for many people it was a passing fad. Fads are subjective after all. For me, I got bored after season 3 started so Im glad I didnt make a pony tulpa. Other people I know from 2012 who went though with their pony tulpas have hit problems with the forms, some haven't. Its a purely subjective experience.

At the end of the day, a dog is always going to be a dog. Nothing will change to make you dislike dogs more than normal.

My little pony wont always be the same. A character you like now might be one you grow to hate. Thats going to effect a tulpa you have made in the same form.

I think its just better to be safe.

First of all, I don't have a pony tulpa. Never have, never will.

But why should it matter if someone does? Even if someone decides that they don't want a pony tulpa around when they hit 30, it's not like tulpas' forms and names are set in stone.

And also, who's to say that MLP somehow becomes obsolete after a few years have passed? Bugs Bunny is 75 this year. Betty Boop is 85. Mickey Mouse is 87. All of them are still cultural icons.

Ive said all though this thread that people should do what they want. I dont have a problem if people have pony tulpas, I was just giving my opinion and giving people things to think about before choosing a form they might live to regret. No need to being the pony police down on me.

I haven't watched FiM since season 3, but I still went with a pony tulpa. My interest in the show is pretty much non-existent at this point, but I still think the character designs are cute and simple to visualize. I mean hell, one of my initial ideas for a form was Gadget Hackwrench and I haven't watched Rescue Rangers since I was like, eight.

Lyra's form is cute and huggable, and I can't see myself getting tired of cute and huggable any time soon. Seriously, just look at that face...

I wanna see movies of my dreams.

Troy: I do not see a real issue with pony tulpa. It is just one of many possible forms; is there anything to regret of having it? So long as the tulpa and I suppose the host are fine with it, no big deal.

If they ever decide they would rather not keep the form, then they can work on altering it to something they prefer instead. Unlike meat beings, our bodies in the midscape are quite malleable. For example, does Roseluck not already have an alternate human form, if I am not mistaken? Who says one need be limited to one form in the first place?

A queer soulbonding system with tulpamantic influences.

Yeah, I loved the show through season 2, and literally the second episode of season 3 I was done. There was a point where I woke up at like 6 AM every.. Saturday, was it? to watch the newest episode with a bunch of other bronies, and those were really fun times. But I had my tulpas through that entire time and never even considered making a pony tulpa. And I loved Pinkie Pie, man.

Anyway, I disagree that people going into the tulpa phenomenon with any sense are going to get completely sick of their tulpa's pony form to the point where it poses a problem. For one thing, you just get used to your tulpa's form to the point where it's hardly even associated with whatever it was originally. And for twothings, I've seen plenty of people change their long-time pony's form into a more human one. Heck, Hasbro did that themselves, although I personally despise the human ponies. But yeah changing forms is definitely possible, hard as it may be, especially if their form becomes undesirable. 99% of the time a tulpa is going to become uncomfortable with themselves too if you become uncomfortable with them, unfortunately maybe, but I don't think most of them would care that much. Ponies specifically seem pretty accepting of form changes.. imagine that.

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.
